Punkology Jarel Damone How do you determine where you look for these matches you highlight? Meaning, are you only looking at the "mainstream guilds" or only in guilds you're in? Or are you looking at all the guilds that are active at this time? We look in the active guilds, whether they be mainstream or indie. Whenever more guilds spring up, we'll be in the Front Row to see what's going on. We choose the matches by gathering a handful of completed matches each, then just narrowing it down to what we feel is right. Cartwright And following Jarel's question, your ratings at the end, are they just a gut feeling or have you both written down stuff that you're looking for such as emotion and psychology etc.?! A criteria of sorts? smile King has stated that every rating he gives is a gut feeling. It's the same for me, but I tend to weigh the pros and cons before finalizing my vote. There is no set criteria that we vote with. Cheers for the answer! I'm sure we'll all be keeping an eye on this!

Now I'm interested in what everyone thinks is the greatest match of all time on here. Chrono vs Shanahan is a contender imo, but probably not the number 1 for me personally, not because of quality, but because of my crippling sense of obligation to hard realism and selling. If I had to rate it it'd actually probably be somewhere between what you two gave it, I'm a diplomat like that.

We got stickied? I have a thread in WRPS that isn't about hating other people and it got stickied? I can die happy now.
It would be way too hard to rate matches and promos with all the variety they offer on a hard scale of 1-10 with an actual criteria. It's not a science project.

Yes, we did. We considered a vocal podcast, but decided that this was easier for us to produce and host for now, with the option of turning into a podcast later. I left the timestamps on for the chat for several reasons, including quick references and just so you guys could see how long we talked about it, also so you can see that it's a live conversation we're having, not a script or anything.

It was awesome and hopefully this can actually give people a push into the right direction to improve themselves and actually feel good about the matches they put on.

Can we nominate matches to be reviewed in this way?

P R O J E C T Jinx Can we nominate matches to be reviewed in this way? No, we like the way it's set up. We don't want people to have to ask us or tell us what we should and should not review because we are partially hoping that people will want to work harder to get noticed. So we won't need nominations if it's working. Edit: Although later, if we ever started doing Retro Reviews of older matches, maybe we'd consider this.

We haven't considered anything like that and while nothing is out of the realm of possibility, including guest reviewers, we are going to focus on what we've started with for now. We're very excited about future issues though. smile
