Something flashed up on his HUD as his sensors completed another sweep and updated the image. "s**t ********> Looking at the large ball of yarn he wished he had an incidenary round. "Stop the truck, we need to get a better look at that.. thing. Could be like the one from before."

Gamma turned the truck a slow stop near the pond edge. Sure enough; yarn. Now, usually Gamma wouldn't give a damn about fabrics or this and that but after his rough encounter with a textile abomination he wouldn't look at fabric the same again. He'd probably stab it a couple times for insurance.
The driverside door swung open and Gamma dropped to the ground.

opaj opened his eyes as he reached the water's edge. Two beings on the other side of the lake- obscured by the large ball of line. He dipped his blade into the water, hoping to avoid a direct conflict.

Jumping over the side of the truck he landed on the ground. The 40mm was at the ready but he would need to use up the sabot round before a cluster one could be loaded. "Hope this s**t isn't like last time." Moving towards the edge of the lake he took a distance reading and aimed the shell so it would skim a meter above the surface. This was the part he didn't like, what could happen. Crouched down he waited to fire.

The ferry dropped him off and one of the first things he noticed was a man who had waded a bit out into the water. Realizing that the man seemed very focused, he looked for the source of that man's concentration. It didn't take long to find the ball of yarn.
Woooow. Old Abraham back at the monestary could make robes for the rest of his life with that thing!
Even as Gregory removed his clothes, revealing his black swimming trunks underneath, he called out to the man in the water, hoping to catch his attention and maybe find someone who knew what was going on. He began wading out at the same time.
((Directed at you, Opaj, although obviously my character doesn't know your name))

"MEOW!"
The defeaning sound came again, just as the earth began to rumble, powerful enough for an earthquake upon the higher reaches and more then enough to move the three men surrounding the lake to be bounced up and down like children's toys.

"s**t ********> Cursing as the ground beneath him shook him off ballance. His aim off he fired the rockets in his suit and he lifted at an odd angle before he was able to correct it. "What the hell is going on here?" Doing a full sensor sweep he hoped to pick up any abnormalities. Shaking his head for a moment the blue lens flared as he re-aquired his target.

Gamma's audioreceptors dimmed a short moment after the shriek began, but his ears still hummed a little. The ground moved, moved from under him. The enormous weight of his armor helped stabilize him, but the ground was really going for it. Across the lake, another couple of people were thrown into the air as well. "Across the lake!" Gamma was interupted, shouting into the private comm channel between him and Gammu, as he hit the ground roughly. "Keep them in reach!"
He tried to stand, legs finding shaky ground.

opaj was about to spin around and put a finger to his lips to silence Gregory, when the earth began to shake. He deftly jumped back, away from the water's edge, landed on his feet, and was immediately sent sprawling on his back. He rolled to recover, was again sent into the air, and this time performed an ukemi to land flat on his back.
This continued as long as the shaking continued. opaj cursed under his breath; he had completely failed to pick out the mysterious cat's (?) aura.

And up came a thumping huge a** kitty kat. Not just a large cat, but a bouncing pouncing kitty aproximately the size of The White House. In addition it was as furless as a siamese, black as coal and covered in bandages. It's eyes were burning fires of flame.
"MEOW!!!"
However, it stopped short of the lake and began to bap at the yarn though it couldn't quite reach it. Completely it ignored the small pepples that were the players.
"MEOW!"

Gregory looked surprised as the man tried to quiet him, not realizing there were others across the lake. His surprise at that was trumped by the shock at suddenly finding himself on his back as the earth moved beneath him.
What is this!?
He continued getting tossed about, landing on his feet or in a manner that didn't cause him harm every time. Thankfully he still had his wind enchantment up, so moving in the air wasn't as difficult as it would've been.

<********> Landing on the ground his aim switched to the overly large animal. It was like some scientist genetic experiment gone horribly wrong. Aiming for an eye as the animal seemed distracted by the giant ball of yarn he filled the air with a whistling sound as the anti tank tungsten carbide sabot flew straight as an arrow.

Gamma moved quickly, running by Gammu who had just landed and grabbing the gauss shotgun from his back. His left hand grabbing a couple box magazines from Gammu's left hip and transplanting them onto his own just below the grenades.
This was no riot, so he needed far more than a riotgun. With his new weapon, Gamma moved to rush around the lake and find the other two people.

Almost as soon as the cat had stopped, opaj was back on his feet. Painfully aware that his position was drastically changed, he looked across the lake to the other pair of players.
Keeping his gaze on his potential foes, he walked slowly towards the water again, dipping the tip of his blade in once he reached the water's edge.
Turning his head to the side, he said to Gregory, "What was it that you-" opaj heard the sound of the projectile whistling through the air. "-********, hopefully it'll go for them.
"Someone's running towards us, and I hope his intentions don't involve our heads on a platter..." opaj decided to extend a small amount of his trust to Gregory for the time being, as the man had made his presence known immediately- rather than attacking from behind.

Gregory turned and scanned the shoreline, seeing the individual that Opaj was referring to.
"But why...?" In Gregory's world, people didn't just attack others without provocation. The weapons the man were carrying though, were more than enough to put any doubts in Gregory's mind to rest. Again, he was thankful he had cast such a long lasting wind imbuement on himself, as it would speed his reactions significantly. He loosed his shield and took it in his left hand, leaving the sword stuck through the sheathe built into the front of the shield. At this range, his free hand would probably be needed for casting rather than melee.
