And Flare walked into the gambling district, keeping a close eye on the injured man beside her.

"I don't know this area well...would it do you any good to find a place to hole up and rest for a moment? I can get in touch with our other allies as we do so."

Allen moved in beside Flare, his scaled wings bloody. But at least the blood wasn't dripping all that often anymore. It meant that, at least, the bleeding was stopping.

"Yeah...I think that'd be smart. It'd at least get some others over here to help us."

Circling, circling, circling. Dae rode the winds. "Ka-ka-caw" <-- Bird speak for... nothing... Dae just didn't have anything better to do.

"How much of a prude are you?" Flare asked. She was eying a nearby building that advertised itself as a 'Love Hotel.'

She knew exactly what sort of thing went on in there, and she was fair certain most people didn't want to go tearing through a place like that interrupting young couples who were...occupied with one another.

He looked over, saw where Flare was looking, and blushed. A deep red. Showing his innocence, no matter how much the warrior he normally seemed to be. After all, only someone relatively innocent would blush at that.

"I...I, uh...um..."

Yep. Quite eloquent, don't you think?

"I see," Flare answered, striving to keep the judgement out of her voice. It was rather disappointing; in her eyes, that was the safest situation they could get to.

"Well, let's try one of the casinos, then. Maybe they'll let us into a back room somewhere if we throw enough money at them."

6...7...8...

Stryphe was a human bullet aimed at Gaia- the gambling district of Barton, to be exact. Though an onlooker, as if there were any at this altitude, would not recognized the figure plummeting through the skies as Stryphe. The jumpsuit, helmet, goggles, and mask left no trace of recognizable features, aside from his long, black hair whipping about, not trapped under the helmet.

He was counting up to that special number where when he'd reached it he'd be at the altitude most optimal for parachute release- he'd been given these instructions only moments ago, by the man flying the now distant helicopter.

Held close to his body was his halberd, much longer than he. Never left home without it.

"No..."

He spoke, stopping her, even as he tried to fight down the blush. He couldn't help it if he'd had little experience with that stuff. He was only 18, and a good portion of his teenage years had been spent either killing or trying to forget. Not much time for girls, in that.

"No, that'd probably be the...safest place to go. They wouldn't look for us there I don't think..."

"Not many people want to risk walking in on lovers to find their enemies..."

And with that, she began walking towards the place. He wouldn't be exposed to much...just the sounds the other patrons were making, and the...accessories provided by the management in whichever room they ended up in. Still, she did feel a tiny twinge of guilt at making him blush like that...

But it passed fast enough. It was probably something she ate.

He'd kept counting for a little while after the recommended time- he was impatient, and didn't want to be kept floating for longer than he'd be able to stand. Making sure his halberd was extra secure in one arm, he pulled the chute-cord with the other.

Anyone who took the time to look up would notice the parachuter- this really wasn't much of a stealth mission at all. It was just the fastest way to get where Joseph had needed Stryphe to be.

While the parachute had slowed his descent greatly, he was still heading pretty quickly for the earth. He aimed himself carefully at the top of one of the larger casino buildings...

And Allen followed. The place might not have been his first choice, but right now he didn't have much of a choice. He just needed someplace to hide until his wings stopped bleeding. And this was the safest place.

If nothing else, he'd get quite an education, just from the surroundings.

"....Waste of my time."

He turned, holding his head. Watching the fighting, though it was just between anthromorphic bottles of liquid hair soap, got his mood switching and he didn't need that. He also didn't need to be around a crowd of people like that... accidental shoving in their excitement, someone gets too happy, and all hell breaks loose.

It was too bad that when he broke away from the spectating crowd, he bumped into those two people who were talking about shacking or not shacking up at a love hotel... which one, he didn't know, didn't care. They were just other people in the way. At first contact, Laz's arm swung down in the same manner one would bat at mosquitos.

"By Gaia... would you get the hell out of the way?"

Flare fixed Laz with a glare fit to freeze lava. But she said nothing, and continued on her way. Now was not the time to start random fights...

She did notice someone was parachuting down, but at this distance she didn't think it was significant.

And though Allen didn't do anything against the man either, it did jolt his wings, making him wince some as the blood seeped out a little faster again. But he knew he was in no conditionto fight or complain, so he kept moving.

He didn't notice the parachuter, as he was too busy trying to ignore the pain.

Flare Sithfallin
Flare fixed Laz with a glare fit to freeze lava.
In the wolf world [as with many others, but Lazenca wasn't fit to speak on them], eye contact was a challenge. Perhaps if she mumbled a few curses at him, then the would both be on their way. But a glare wasn't going to just go unchecked, and Lazenca made this known by all but stepping into the way and holding eye contact.

"Speaking through your eyes? You have my attention. Give voice to your eyes, but be careful what you say- sticks and stones have nothing on what I can do to your bones."
