Scissors still in hand he just crossed his arms over his chest and stared at her. He let her talk it out; he was taking in everything she said. In a sense he meant nothing by what he had said but he wasn't going to just let the matter drop either. He could handle not acting awkward. At least with Ariane. With others? Not so much.
"Have I asked you to feel warm and fuzzy around me? Do I ever ask you to giggle and flounce around like some sort of damsel?" Jude shrugged a bit as he snipped the scissors at air as he relaxed his arms toward his sides. "We could still be friends. We are still friends. If that is all you want I just want you to tell me so. I'll move on and do whatever it is I do. I'm not hanging my little hopes and dreams on a shelf hoping you'll complete them. I don't expect you to say you love me now or ever. I just want you to be Ariane. I've grown to at least like Ariane. "
He sighed and shook his head, "I'm not a clever man sometimes, I guess."

"No, you're not clever at all," Ariane sighed, pinching her nose bridge, "I'm asking you if you are alright with dating an emotionally crippled person, you idiot."

If he hadn't been holding scissors just then he might have flailed at her but instead he just made a stern expression at her, "I. Realize. This." His voice was tense but not angry.
"I am not the one acting as if you need to change and be someone new because of what you're asking. Not like I'm any less crippled." Jude quietly flailed a free hand at the air as if that proved many, many points.
"If it doesn't work or we feel nothing we just drop it. So yes. I am quite alright dating someone with the emotional issues as long as you are alright with dating someone like me," he wasn't angry, the tenseness turned into matter-of-fact, and then it soothed into weary affection toward the end.

Ariane sat back down on the chair, staying silent as she listened to what Jude had to say. At the back of her mind, she wondered if this would just end in disaster. Maybe fire would be involved. Fire and explosions. Maybe they should go to Vegas.
"Then stop talking and come here," She raised her hand to grab him by the collar, tugging him down. A kiss was then roughly pressed against his forehead before she him let go, "Now finish cutting my hair already... You're taking too long."

It was easy enough to grab him by the collar since he was within reach, Jude let out a light grunt as he bent forward and let her kiss his forehead. He paused a moment, "Missed your mark," he replied and simply kissed her on the lips firmly, though the contact didn't last for too long as he had a job to finish.
He quietly moved around and started where he left off, it was probably lucky for her that he was able to recall where he was.
"Not my fault that I am taking my time. I don't want to wake up bald the next day," he retorted.

"Wouldn't want my new boyfriend to be bald either," She replied with a hum, "Maybe I'll give you a mohawk instead."

Jude snorted a bit as he finished up the haircut, "I'm not sure I could pull off a mohawk even if I wanted one," he replied as he quietly brushed off fallen hair and neatened the cut up some.
There. Perfect.
"What else is on the agenda?"

Jude shrugged as he lazily draped his arms over Ariane's shoulders from behind and rested his chin on top of her head, "Didn't you want to dye it at some point?"

"Yeah, but I don't feel like dyeing it now now," She replied, "Let's just chill in your room the rest of the day."

Jude let out a small hum, "Fair enough, let's chill." He then pulled away from her and began to clean up the small mess. "I got some movies and stuff rented from the library, we can watch those while we chill."

Jude was a good wifey apparently, since Ariane just dusted any remaining hair on her clothes and proceeded straight to lay down on the bed... Disregarding the fact that she might accidentally leave hair there.The most important thing was that it was his bed, and not hers, "Sounds like a plan. I'll just chill here while you clean up."
It was the start of a great relationship, yup.
