Sarcel saw the ax moments before it hit her, narrowly missing the weapon as it nicked the side of her arm, causing a slight blue to bubble to the surface. He'd hit her, finally, and it made her a little mad.
Giving into the anger wasn't smart though, so she managed to keep herself relatively composed. It was difficult to land a hit on the yellowblood while she was running around, so, in an attempt to save her ammo for more open times, she actually picked up the ax that was thrown at her and threw it back; it was a hasty maneuver, but maybe the blade would strike true as the yellowblood had intended... wouldn't that be sweet?

Needless to say, he certainly didn't expect to have his own weapon used against him. At least not so suddenly, as if it were the most obvious response on Alternia to do so. The surprise made him sidestep a little too late, and quite similarly, the blade slid against his skin enough to open a little wound. It didn't hurt as much as the bit of buckshot had, but it still stung, and he grit his teeth in rage despite how tiny it had actually been. If nothing else, now his axe was returned to him, and he had it in his head to get her back for that little insult ten fold.
Now that she'd stopped running, maybe he had a shot.
He scooped up the weapon and charged at her. Instead of wielding it properly, he swung it back to the side with both hands. The flat edge was aimed at her as he took a wild and heavy swing. It was backed by anger.

That was probably a bad idea; the fact that Sarcel had in fact stopped running. The blueblood was about to take off again, but she made that choice a little too late; suddenly the other troll was running at her. At least her mind worked as fast as she ran; in hasty attempt to guard herself from his hasty swing, Sarcel attempted to catch the blow with the side of her shotgun, which mostly worked if not for the fact that her hand had been caught in the swing.
She bit back a yelp; screaming would only make her seem weak, and she didn't want to give him the satisfaction of her pain. Biting her lip hard enough to draw blood, fury and adrenaline overtook her senses as she pushed forwards, trying to knock him off balance as she shoved her gun at his general person. She hoped to nail his face, but at this point, anything would do; never mind the numb ache in her hand now. At least it was't the hand she used to steady her gun; pulling the trigger was much easier than aiming.

Ratiku had already started opening his mouth, ripe and ready to gloat over the hard hit he'd finally landed. It had been solid, the first one so far that had, and the reverberation that rung in his fingertips was a welcome one. He had just opened his mouth when the gun landed squarely against his face, causing him to recoil and shut his mouth quickly, biting his tongue in the process. He was spitting blood as he fell straight onto his a**, but it didn't take long for him to realize that being prone at the feet of someone wielding a gun was the last place he wanted to be.
In an attempt to keep her from trying to get a shot in next, he shoved his foot quickly at her calf.

Had the kick been any harder, she probably would of crumpled like paper. Still, the pain that shoots through her leg does make her yelp, spooking her into running off again. If there was anything that scared her more, it was the aspect that without her speed, she had nothing. Nothing. She didn't want to think about that.
She manged through the pain though, managing to be quick, ignoring the aches. Somewhere in her mind was a voice that was barking at her to keep going, a voice telling her how pathetic she was; she didn't want to be Pathetic, not now! She had to prove herself. Think of this as a test; he's reckless, use that, use that!
Sad to say that Sarcel was a little reckless too, shooting at the yellowblood. It was too bad she hadn't done that from the get go, since he had been prone to her onslaught and... she had let the opportunity go to utter waste.
No matter. She'd have her chance.

The outcome wasn't exactly what he'd hoped for. At least she hadn't pointed the gun at his head or anything, that could have ended badly. Still, now she was running again, and even though he hated to admit it, catching her was more than hard. No matter, though. He'd get her. Even if he had to wait. Ratiku would pretend he was patient for a little while.
Shoving himself to his feet, he took off towards her, but didn't try to go all out and catch up, nor did he seem to be making any attempt at an attack. He only followed, as if waiting for something specific to happen.

Waiting for something to happen? Sarcel saw him get up, still running. He wasn't making any more moves to try and attack; was he waiting for her to tire out? Try again; if there was anything she had picked up on from training with sir, it was stamina and tenacity.
Sarcel skidded to a stop, kicking some dirt up in the yellowblood's face before dashing into another direction, watching him carefully...

When she started to come back at him, he grinned, thinking this time he would have yet another clean shot. He'd leave her splayed out in the grit and dust, a taste of what she'd done to him. He raised his axe, the blunt and narrow edge aimed at her as she came closer and closer and-
Well, he hadn't expected to end up suddenly blinded and sputtering. Ratiku coughed loudly, trying to clear his airway of dirt before he covered his mouth completely. Instead of running, getting away from the slowly dissipating cloud and looking for a new vantage point, he took a weak swing with his axe, though she'd obviously zipped away long before now. With his mouth covered, he couldn't yell at her to fight for real like he wanted to. The yellowblood always was one to talk trash without really thinking.

There it was. There was her opening.
Running back around now, Sarcel took advantage of the fact that he was blinded and coughing. This was what she had been waiting for, this is what all that running around was for, her efforts were going to pay off.
She didn't know what she would hit; buckshot had a miraculous way of spraying off in every direction. It helped when she had such poor aim; only three things now. Run. Aim. Fire.

He really should have run. Even Ratiku realized this as the shot ripped into his skin in multiple places. A pained scream tore from his throat, though it wheezed pitifully between continued coughing when the dust finally settled. The yellowblood had fallen to his knees, wobbling precariously and trying to keep himself from losing it completely. There was an obvious pattern of holes through his clothing and into the left side of his back, close to his shoulder. Yellow droplets beaded around the wounds, and it was hard to tell if any of them had done any life threatening damage, but from the way he greedily sucked in air with shaky breaths told a story of pain.
"You b***h," he gurgled, struggling to his feet again. "YOU b***h!" Running on near pure adrenaline, he took off after her, screaming bloody murder the entire way. He raised his arm to swing and this time the blade was facing his opponent. This time, he meant to do some real damage.

She smiled when her shot struck true, his scream nothing short of music to her ears. She wasn't very close when she had given the shot; had she been, he probably would of been been left with a gaping wound rather than the scattered holes that he had now. Her moment of glory was her hubris.
She meant to ran once he came at her, but pain shot up her leg. There was a moment of hesitation; brief though it was, it was enough for Ratiku. For a second she found herself back in the caverns, smaller, different, more afraid but just as reckless as she went over the cliff; only now she was here, a loud scream erupting from her throat as his blade struck true, slamming into her shoulder. The pain that followed was nothing short of excruciating, blue pouring out of the deep gash.
"YOU!"
She came up behind the Ratiku quickly, slamming her gun down as hard as she could into his back, ignoring the overwhelming pain in her arm.
Remember, you've been through worse.

There was a twisted look of pleasure on his face when the axe landed heavily into the blueblood's shoulder. Twisted, because his own back and shoulder still burned quite significantly, deep down and painful. There was no way it hurt enough to keep him from smiling, though, when he drew more of her blood. Enough to stain the head of his weapon. Pulling it back roughly, he meant to swing again, but before he could she'd pushed him again. He was stumbling.
s**t, he couldn't fall, not again. Forcing his leg back stiffly, he kept himself upright, but then there was dirt in his eyes all over again and he sputtered.
"Where are you?!" he coughed, his head snapping back and forth on his neck. He couldn't see her, though. She had disappeared. "Where the ******** are y-?!" The blow landed heavily against Ratiku's back, against his already present injuries, pulling a sharp and horrified shout from his throat. Blood splattered away from his skin, dotting the ground and the gun and his own clothing worse. The shock caused him to drop his axe, and nearly topple over himself, but he blindly began to swing his fists all around, trying to hit an opponent he couldn't see.

Still invisible, the fist catches her in the face; blue drips onto the ground from an unknown source until Sarcel finally revealed herself to the seeing world, holding her nose with a hand as she tried not to cough on the blood dripping down the back of her throat. Is this how nosebleeds felt? Had this been a better moment in time, Sarcel might of thought back to when Sir broke his nose; her's didn't feel broken at least, but the blood was still there.
Not to mention she was fairly disorientated, coughing, not attacking, at the mercy of the yellowblood as she wobbled backwards, trying to run, mind spinning.

Ratiku's breathing was ragged, coming in short bursts as he turned on his opponent completely, but only in time to see her already standing there, blood dripping between her fingers. This time he didn't smile, because his own pain was too much. In fact, he wasn't even sure he felt pride anymore. All that was left was a will to keep fighting, because stopping no longer seemed like an option. Not bothering to pick up his weapon just yet, he scrambled awkwardly after her, trying to catch her before she got away again. He reached out, wanting to grab her or push her, to shove her off balance somehow. If he could get her down, he thought things would be easier. In one great surge, he shoved his arms out towards her.

Her head was spinning.
Hitting the ground brought her back down a little bit, anyway. She idly wondered what became of that tealblooded child; had she fled? Sarcel hoped she had. Where as before she had felt confident, suddenly the fight or flight response had turned on her; fear prickled up her spine. Her leg ached from landing awkwardly on it.
No, all she could feel was panic. The urge to run and get away; she tore her hand away from her face, blood still gushing from her nose as she found it harder to breath, shooting into the space. She knew she probably had missed; didn't care, she wasn't intent on winning anymore, just on escaping, eyes wide with fear and anger knowing that she was failing herself and Sir and letting him win.
She realized she didn't have any shot left in her gun, not that it mattered. Her mind was working too fast to comprehend reloading. All she wanted was to run. Run run run...
