eek How terrible! If I were in that situation I think I would run away!
Well, at least we can look forward to the very real likelihood that her daughter will now grow up to be pro-life! 3nodding

God I can't believe some people. Normally it's the hospitals job to SAVE lifes. She could always give her up for adoption if she don't want her or learn more about birth controls and protected before even having sex. It's common sense people, those things don't fail that often. The hospital shouldn't take responsibility, she should. They warn people that surgeries can be risky at times or don't always help or work.
If I was that girl I would probly hate my mom and leave

I honostly can't imagine what i would do if my mom came to me and told me I was not meant to happen and that she tried to abort me, and succefuly aborted my brother/sister. I would probably have my self removed fomr the home.

i've decided- battle plan... i'd steal everything from the house i could get my hands on and run the hell away- probably using the woods near my house. i'd walk until i hit a friends house (they live a 2 towns away), but i'd crash with them for as long as possible. no wait... screw that, i have a car. so i'd drive there. i'd just have to hide my car, because my parents would be looking for it.

Heres one thing I don't understand. She claims she loves her daughter...and yet she's suing because the abortion didn't go the way she wanted. This means she was intent on killignher child, and even after raising her and sayign she's happy she was able to, she would still want to have the abortion if she were unborn today. This makes me question her love for her child. This would drive me insane!

That's definitely not a happy situation. However, if the mother really didn't WANT the child, wouldn't she have adopted her away?
And to some of the other people within this thread, I'd like to say that... having an abortion does not necessarily make you a terrible mother. You made a terrible choice, but who hasn't made a terrible choice?
What I reject to the most is that she's trying to get retribution because someone didn't die. That's not fair to the child, at all. It's like saying "I need money, to make up for the fact that you exist."

Th emother syas she plans on tellignher when she's ten...when she's still impresionable.

This makes me question her love for her child. This would drive me insane! Same here. I want to think that after having her daughter, she may have had a change of heart, gives her daughter the love she needs and feel sadness over aborting her twin. If such feelings were genuine, I can understand that the girl might find it in her heart to forgive her mother for what she tried to do. If my mother told me that today I'd forgive her....then again I've had 22 years with her. If that's the case, she proven to me time and time again that she is no longer who she once was (hypothetically speaking). But suing because the doctor didn't propery knock her off and all of this talking can't make a good impression on her. Her mother may love her and treat her well but she is being surrounded this reminder that she was never supposed to have been born. Whether she forgives her mother or not is her own choice. But I hope she realizes how lucky she is to be able to pass her own judgement.
