Strel smiled, chuckling the slightest as he watched his friend talk, tilting his head the slightest as his ears perked. Adorable? Him? Well...He supposed it could be true. But that didn't mean Arden was any less adorable than he was! "Well..." He started, sounding the slightest bit sheepish, "You're adorable when you're happy too. And I want to make sure you're happy as often as possible!"
He didn't hesitate in following, curious to see if the conversation would continue. But at least there was another one, just in case it got to be too awkward, though he hoped it wouldn't! "If we work together I bet we can get it done in a few days! I wouldn't mind getting all covered in dust to help you out, really!" He watched the water, occasionally glancing to Arden. "I think we'd make a good team."

Arden blushed, he hadn't expected his own sentiments to be turned around and applied to him. He leaned over and took a couple quick gulps before passing the hose over to Strel. He shuffled letting him get a drink before closing the gap oblivious to the still running hose and tried to put his arms around Strel and pull him close. "I think-ACK!" he pulled back as water bubbled from the hose and soaked both their fronts. He hopped back and reached down turning off the hose. "Sorry, I don't know how you forget something like running water, but there you go, I did..." he chuckled and then moved back into his previous position taking a deep breath. "Anyway...I was going to say...I think we'd make a great team."
He then wrapped his arms around Strel and hesitantly closed in for a kiss.

Strel rather liked the look of the flush on his friend's cheeks, thinking it rather nice all and all. He was sure Arden might be thinking the same of him, especially after his earlier words, but at the least didn't hesitate in taking a few drinks, about to hand the hose back to be put away when-- Ack! Strel laughed, looking down at his soaked shirt, shivering just the slightest at the much too cold water. "Well!" He laughed, more amused than upset, "That's certainly unexpected!" He was too busy laughing to notice that Arden had moved back, and was about to agree and nod when...
Oh my.
Strel wasn't sure what to think when those arms went around him, looking at his friend in the slightest bit of expectation when he realized what was going on. A kiss? Well, if he allowed it. But he liked Arden. He did. And perhaps that's what made him slowly move in to close the distance between their lips, allowing for the soft touch, eyes fluttering closed.

Arden forgot to breath for a moment when their lips touched ever so gently. He held there for a moment then pulled back, going bright pink under his fur. He rubbed the back of his neck with a free hand. "That was uh..." he stopped and smiled widely and couldn't stop. "That was nice." he looked away and shuffled. "Least I hope it was nice for you, cuz that would suck if it wasn't for you." he managed to stop himself from saying anything more before he couldn't stop talking.
He looked back over at Strel and held his breath, hoping that he hadn't gone to far. He'd never been very good at reading body language. Blueprints were his forte. He bit his lip and remembered to breath, before he passed out which would only make things worse not better.

It took several moments for Strel to open his eyes after Arden moved away, breathing slowly as he tried to catch up with what had just happened. Arden had kissed him and...it had been nice. Very very nice. "Yeah..." He finally laughed, suddenly aware of the way his cheeks burned, glancing down at the ground before turning his eyes back up to him, considering briefly what he should do next. "Yeah it....It really was but, uh..." No no no, he wasn't going to mess up one bit, he just had to keep it calm, keep his cool...
"I wouldn't mind another. Or a few more." He laughed, stepping just a little closer. Maybe it was just Arden's lucky day....

Arden nearly fainted. Strel wanted another kiss? His brain sputtered and died. It was the best most wonderful thing he'd ever heard in his whole entire life. Wait was there anything better? No, no most definitely not.
"Well...uh...we...could...uh..." he sputtered and tried to make coherent sentences. "Go, inside, shed? Air it out a bit and then...umm...maybe a few more of those kisses?" he retraced the sputtering and thought it sounded legit. Maybe even a little suave? No, probably absolutely not that one. He could hope though. "Or maybe now. Now is good if you want." He managed as he realized Strel stepped closer, his arms instinctively reaching out and wrapping them around the red-head. He then hesitated for a moment, then slowly lowered his head towards Strel's and a real first kiss.
