Pasiphae nodded in agreement, her soft voice brightening in response to Chaldene's excitement. It was a natural enough move forward, given the initial lessonhad been jumping up rather than across. "I think that's a good idea. Moving around the roof tops can be very important. A lot of times to get away, like you said, or because you're going to meet someone... or just to stay away from others while you're out." She motioned for him to join her across the roof, at the opposite edge. The other building wasn't too far away, but it had a slight slant to the roof that would make it a little trickier to land on. So, she pointed this out, using her hands to mimic the shape, "There's a little slant there, so you'll need to be kind of careful or you'll slide a little. Um... well, maybe you won't have as hard of a time because it looks like your boots are mostly flat?" It was an odd thing to point out, perhaps, but Pasiphae remembered only too well the evolution of her own footwear. Sensible heels to high, pointed boots--and now to boots that came up to her knees! "Do you want me to go first again?"

He really wanted to take this whole thing slow, to learn what he could and work on each thing till he was comfortable with it before moving on. He didn't want to go from one thing to the next and to the next without having a firm grasp on anything. For now he wanted to focus on moving so he could escape if he ever needed to, which he hoped never happened. He wasn't stupid enough to think it would never happen though, as much as he wished it wouldn't. So with Parisphae throwing out a challenge, the slanted rooftop he was more than happy to accept the challenge.
Paying attention to her words he nodded his head. "Perhaps if I land and as soon as I can I move one foot backward so I can balance." He said more to himself than the winged senshi. It would be a good idea, a foot to balance back on and so he could hopefully keep from slipping.
"If you don't mind. I think seeing how you land and make sure you don't slip would help me. And you are right...my shoes are flat. That should help." Lifting up one foot he glanced down at the bottom of the shoe. "Seems to have a good amount of tread also. That'll be good as well, if they didn't have tread I'd be more worried - especially in winter. I mean it would be dangerous to try this in winter - I hope you don't go doing this with snow or ice down. You could get really hurt." He stated as he once more started to ramble. Though it was true what he said. The danger involved in doing this in the winter had him worried for others suddenly, and vowing to not travel via this route in the winter when it would be dangerous. He didn't need, nor want, to fall off a roof top and go down several stories. The injuries would be great and more painful than he wished to imagine.
"Though I guess it would be helpful if we could remove these shoes and put on better, proper, boots for such a thing in the winter. Than we could try and push our enemies off roof tops. It would be easier - right?" He asked with a bit of a smile. Maybe the idea of pushing someone off a roof top wasn't nice, and was even mean, but if these people wnated to hurt him he'd rather shove them off a roof top than let them attack him. "I kicked off my shoes once," Pasiphae admitted with a small smile. Then, thinking about it, she added, "No, actually... more than once. To get a better grip on a surface and keep from falling. It was much easier to remove my shoes back then..." She bit her lip to keep from babbling further, and to try and better fulfill her new role as teacher, she added, "It's... um... it's okay to do that. To use your fuku in other ways. Bows can be bandages, and shoes can be make shift weapoins and... it's just up to your imagination." The naturally compassionate girl was torn, despite the male Senshi's nice smile that accompanied his not-so-nice statrement. On the one hand, she knew she needed to tell him that he shouldn't be looking for a fight and not pushing people--for their enemies were people--off of rooftops. On the other hand... the Ambush was still too fresh in her mind. Her personal resolve to make sure no one fought alone assumed, at its core, that there would be fighting. No matter how much she did not want to... there had to be a fight. Her voice lowered, almost as though making a confession, "I would rather save them, but... if that is what it takes, to save yourself--or to protect someone else..." Okay, it was time to stop talking and start demonstrating. Pasiphae did not want to drag Chaldene into the heavier, more unplesant duties of Senshi life. That would be another lesson--and they had both agreed, one lesson at a time. She judged the distance and took a bit of a running start. Unfortunately... it was a bit more slanted than even the Eternal had thought. Her front foot slid forward, and after a few moments of wobbling, she ultimately caught herself with her hands and grunted. Slowly, she regained her balance. Maybe... maybe if nothing else it would help him see what not to do? "S-sorry..."

So she had gone at this without shoes, that was good to know. It was good to know because she had kept herself safe, it really was dangerous with heels on. Why on Earth would they be expected to do what they did, or maybe not expected to but just do, when it was so dangerous. He could see the upside to it but it seemed more risky than anything to him, I mean running and jumping rooftops in the winter was very dangerous. Walking down the sidewalk could be dangerous so roof top walking, or jumping, had even more of a risk.
"That's the only time I'd ever...and if it stops a fight fast...I - I don't like fighting and would like to avoid fighting at whatever cost..." He'd like to avoid all violence. But if he had a choice between fighting someone or pushing them off a roof top he would push them. If they had the same abilities as they did then they should land well, right?
Watching her he felt himself jerk in reaction to her landing, as though preparing to go to her and make sure she didn't fall and was ok. "Don't be sorry, it happens. Are you ok?" He asked, concern coloring his voice. Seeing how she'd landed, and what she'd done, he hoped he could make the landing better than she had. If he didn't and he got hurt he'd handle it, when he got home, he just hoped he didn't mess up really bad and fall right off the roof top.
Watching her across from him he stepped back enough so he could get a running start, like he'd seen her do, and silently hoped he landed well. Biting his lip he took off and launched himself toward the roof the eternal was standing on. When he did land he didn't pitch forward but backward. His ban leg and foot taking all his weight as he used his arms to regain his balance . "Ok, I can see the thrill in this. But safety! these roof tops are a nightmare." His balance regained after some moments he stared at her while smiling, even as he tried to still his racing heart, that was...scary. Quicksilver the Archangel

Sleet Tempest Snape Thinking this can wrap up in the next couple of posts? Whenever he leapt across and seemed to be losing his balance, the Eternal let out a gasp and moved towards him. She desperately did not want him to fall... but before she could reach out to him, he had already righted himself. With trembling hands she pulled him in closer all the same, away from the edge, even as she returned his smile with a nervous one of her own. "Most of the buildings aren't... really this scary!" Pasiphae hurriedly reassured him. Maybe he had had enough for one night. Even focusing on one task could be overwhelming when it was all very new. "Um... if you want, next time, I'll take you on a path starting at the library? There's some easy paths there." If there was going to be a next time? She realized that she had made a very big assumption, and as if to make up for it offered, "And... and I'll bring some of my friends, who really know more than I do. If you want to meet them, I mean?"

"I imagine most aren't. I don't see many roof tops on buildings like this. It seems a rare thing. But I'd like that - the ummm offer to meet again and move from the library. " He really did appreciate, and like, the offer she made. He hoped by the time they next met he'd be a bit more advanced, maybe even having used his magic. He could show her what he could do then!
He didn't like fighting, and didn't want to, but learning magic even if it wasn't like Harry Potter was exciting. He didn't need to be in a fight to use his magic so he could just learn it, and show the eternal senshi.
"That would be nice...umm maybe I should give you my normal cell number. You can call me that way and arrange for a meeting?" He asked. He did spend more time as a normal teenager than he did powered up. So it would be a better way for her to reach him, plus he wouldn't risk pulling out some mysterious second cell phone to answer a call. He didn't want to raise questions and have people questioning him or anything like that, especially if it was his father who saw. No telling how the man would react, aside from loudly.
Oh god, he would be meeting her friends - other senshi. It wasn't that he didn't want to but at the same time he didn't want to. He was nervous and wondering if he'd fit in, though he doubted it, and what would they think of him? Would he feel with them like he did everyone else?Quicksilver the Archangel I think so also. And we can arrange some other meeting for after the large battle...and after his private one with Mica?

Sleet Tempest Snape Sure! We can plan it over AIM. :3 And I'm going to call this post my last! Pasiphae smiled and produced the pad of paper and pen that she had begun to carry around for just such an occasion. She scanned Chaldene for her own Senshi phone and waited for his number to be returned to her. All in all... she thought it had been a successful night. A stressful, sometimes awkward, night, but... she had met and helped another new Senshi. And that... was good enough. "Great! I'll contact them and then call you. If you need me before we meet again at the library... don't hesitate to call, okay? If I can't come, I'll send someone to you. It's... dangerous to go alone, and you're not alone, Chaldene. Always remember that."

"That sounds good to me." Taking note of the pen and paper he wrote down his own civilian cell phone number for her, it really was the best way to contact him. He was a child of technology, like many in this generation, and thus had his cell phone often attached to his hip, hand, ear or in some way on his person at all times.
"Alright, I'll keep that in mind, the library. And I'll call if I need anything...thank you. I don't think I want to be alone..." Even though he really wasn't social, lacked social skills, and was uncomfortable with people. This whole idea was nerve wracking and he didn't think he could manage any of this alone. It was good to know he wouldn't have to. Quicksilver the Archangel
