"Well, the cat likes you, so I guess I don't have to kick you out onto the streets! It just might be your lucky night." What she necessarily meant by that was up to interpretation.
Somehow Quinn and Veer went from reuniting after half of a year of absence, to living together, to adopting a cat in a very very short period of time.
That escalated quickly.
At least in the last year or so Quinn had definitely learned to roll with the punches, and somehow none of this came as much of a surprise to her. At least no one was taking her to the outskirts of town and professing their undying love to her after a first date... Suddenly she was incredibly grateful that Veer wasn't clingy nor needy because ain't nobody got time for that.
She shot Veer a sideways glance when he sat back down next to her and half-grinned before turning her attention back to the tv with the anime paused. Anime, pizza, and couch hangouts- much like the first time the two of them hung out.
"I hope you're right about good things coming to those who wait, kitty, 'cause I don't have much patience," she laughed.
With 3 people and a cat (who could presumably turn into a 4th human) in a 2 bedroom apartment, maybe it was time she talk to Zink about moving into that complex the Negaverse had.
