Haven't figured out the stealing formula, nor have I checked it out on FAQs. What I did was start combos with mages. I didn't have a Fortress, so it took me three combos to do it. Of course, the Gladiator I was using had transmigrated many times...

What I did was cast Omega of the element she's weakest to, twice, followed by Seven Sins (which leaves Zodiac in the dust in coolness, power, range and area) and then Sky High. The last one is tricky, because the spear wielder has to be close enough to hit her, but far enough so as not to be hit by Seven Sins. After the SkyDivers are gone, separate the characters and drop the dog house near the most expendable. In the end, what saved me was a Moon Slash, followed by Sky High, and finished the combo off with my Medic using Hell Needle.

I just beat secret character 1 yesterday. Without the use of Seven Sins (my sword characters havent learned that yet, not even my "leader" Apprentice turned Rouge through transmigration" has learned it sweatdrop Will need to make a library to have my characters learn their weapon skills faster). 2 characters used Zodiac and one used tornado slash to finish the secret character. Now I'm stuck on character 2, I believe strong magic (omega) of the weakest element to her shall do the job, so I'm leveling up my magician and sorceress and magic-using Spirit Hunter, my attack crew is also strong to knock at least 1/3 or more life out of the secret character #2 (with the help of the fortress of course). Too bad the laboratory can't help increase tech on getting in or else my gun crew would fill in for the remaining 2/3s of her health rofl According to the FAQs the laboratory increases on enemies if its dropped on them. If I conviniently place my gun-users together upon invite and I drop a laboratory on them, will they get the same 20% tech increase as enemies?

Yes, the lab increases tech of all characters in the drop zone, like hospital heals everyone, and so on. Drop effects affect Neutrals, Freindlies and Enemies.

Seven Sins is a Godsend, believe me, but it's only good for groups of strong enemies. For one or two, the solution is Moon Slash, which does the most damage to single enemies.

Isn't Character #3 great? I just love it! TEC and RES are through the roof. I gave it a bazooka and it just demolishes people everywhere.

About your leader, what was it? Mine was a warrior-medic-thief-warrior-commander. I plan to take it to level 100 and then turning it into a Rogue, then doing the same thing again and turning it into a warrior once more. He has awesome bonuses, and can now use beam sabers, something which really helps against vehicles.

Mine is just a warrior, then rouge then berzerker, I'd go turn it into a commander to get the beam sword ability but a berzerker already has very low res stats, so adding on a beam sword would be suicide for him gonk I got a metal titan, then Lesser Demon, which I'm thinking of turning into a Gladiator, I also got a metal puppet which I'm thinking of turning into a prinny king so he can use a gatling gun and makai cannon and yeah Character #3 rocks! She can outlast my bowmaster in defence and already has the emergency healing abilities needed just in case my healer, medic, or thunder god (was a lucky doll before) bite the dust. Now I'm working on getting one that I need to be Level 120 to wish for, you know who I mean right?

For the later bosses i suggest u get a samurai (male or female it doesn't matter) and have it use katanas. Katana's are the best boss killing weapons since they have high attack power and all their skill only target one person. Also heres a cheap way to use braveheart to double your char attack power. First u need 5 char with braveheart and 5 additional char (their lvls dont need to be high). You also need 3 high capacity facilities (i used 2 academys and one castle). Put all of your attacking char in the castle and all the low lvls in the academys. The low lvls can't be equiped with anything. At the start of the stage summon all the buildings and take 6 char that u want to double their atk and group them together in one spot. Than take one char with braveheart out and cast it on them. After that have a char w/o braveheart go out and grab them than run into a facility. Repeat with the rest of the them and your attackers have double atk! Note that your char also has the castle's protection effect making it 240% more atk!!! Using this trick allowed me to beat the last secret char at lvl 1500!!! (hes lvl 4000) eek

Yeah, I know who you mean.

The thing is, I wouldn't put beam sabers on beserkers, unless they were medics or clerics in their previous classes, and have +30% or more resistance to all elements. (A mana stone/love charm statue wouldn't hurt, and neither would a reflect armor) If you're going for gladiators, better make them Makai Braves, and have them whoop some a** with the beam sabers, swords or Morning Stars. Again, while there are better armors, Reflect armor is the one of choice for me, because of the resistance boosts.

Underlord Seedle, good advice, though it would be better to summon one Bravehearter, let it do it's thing, then have the next bravehearter throw him into a building after casting braveheart. That way, the non-BHers don't waste their turn throwing people.

btw don't highlite if you dont want spoilers

Thanks for the strats guys biggrin Today I got 1 more hidden guy so as of now I got (Castille, Laharl, Etna, Flonne, and Seedle) Tommorow I want to get as much of the other hidden characters as possible. I already made the Beam-Sword-Using Gladiator (I havent unlocked Makai Brave yet unfortunately, I transmigrated my start-out Apprentice to a Rouge as soon as it was unlocked. As of now, my best people are my Berzerker (lv.303), Master Samurai (male) (lv. 264), Taste King (lv. 180) Laharl (lv. 150), Castille (lv. 120), Bowmaster (lv.110) What's the best direction to go? Take on Salome, Pram, or work up to Alexander? I'm on chapter 5 now in my second game, and I heard King Drake can only be gotten in the first or second playthroughs.

Take on the second choice. The other two require fighting level 1000+ Overlords, not a good thing.

Yeah I know what you mean now, I just unlocked (Babylon) today and he's at level 1,400, and with a similar strategy as mentioned before though I dont have a castle, just a fortress, and I only have 3 bravehearters. Even with that I got to knock off at least like 7-10k off his 41k health gonk btw does it matter the resistance of the bravehearters to sucessuflly increase attack on a target? I got a few backup bravehearters who's resistance is a bit low. I got a medic, thunder demon, and red idol besides my 3 main bravehearters and their resistance isnt as well as my main ones.

Now that I think about it, the ones who learned BH in Disgaea were the mages, which had low RES. I guess BH is constant, and works until you've reached 2x your current ATK power. I guess you'll have to experiment.

Yeah I'll do that tommorow when I play MK again. Though I'll need to level up my Master Samurai, (Laharl) and (Seedle) quite a bit to make them useful in the fight. I might transmigrate my Taste King into an Extreme Samurai (the last samurai type) to make him more useful, though he is useful in the sence that he has more resistance and defence than my samurai, hence he outlasts him in the free dungeons 3nodding

Edit:
I beat and gained (Babylon) today, now I gotta take on (Valvoga) tommorow, I did a tryout battle to see where I stand against him and he seem's to have 71k health and 45-47k defence. It's gonna take some good leveling up and transmigrating for some characters to beat that...even with the braveheart strat which I used today against the secret boss which worked excellent, thanks again xd

Note that u can also double your int, def,or res too (just do the same thing but with magicboost, shield, and magic wall). Also if your reincarnating your char u may want to consider tuning them into old ghost roots (rank 5 evil carrots) for awhile since they have the +exp and +mana abilities which are very useful. To unlock them just lvl a evil carrot to lvl 50. Once they hit lvl 100 they will get 80% more mane and exp.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 16, 2006 10:43 pm

Yeah I am highly considering this, especially since tommorow I am taking on (Zetta), I had already beaten (Valvoga and robosuit) today xd I especially want to do the evil carrot trick with my thief since he isnt the strongest guy so he needs all the leveling up he could use surprised BTW did anyone figure out the stealing formula? Some of the bosses have some really good weapons which I'd like to steal but even if my thief is above their level their good stuff is at a lower steal percentage.

Unfortunatly boss equip can't be stolen sad in my replay my thief was lvl 2000 and still cant steal from the first secret boss sad . Its important to note that enemy thieves cant steal from your secret char though.
