Although Ren had drifted upwards along with the spider, she seemed disinterested in matching her height head to head, content to simply drift a few inches lower and experience the altitude change. With the distance between the two frei, it was difficult to tell they were drifting near the same height, and the newborn had a tendency to drift a bit lower or higher depending on where her gaze was drifting.

When Anya struck an unhappy pose and pulled one pointed wing over her shoulder to point at the aurora her smile slipped slightly, confused. Her confusion did not stem from the low-level hostility, however. Instead she twisted that little bit of torso she possessed, reaching one arm over her chest to grip the edge of one pale wing and tug at it, attempting it pull it forward much as the other frei had done.

It was obvious the thin appendage was neither interested in, or able to reach over her shoulder as Anya’s had and the dropped into a folded stack upon the curve of her back, rustling slightly as if they could shake themselves into a larger form. After checking her wings, the girl reached up to her head, fingers exploring the headband that was there but furrowing her brow when it did nothing interesting as Anya’s had. Revontulet turned back to Doucette again, this time silently questioning.

Never?” Doucette breathed, looking between Anya and Ren again, letting out a slight gasp as Anya lofted her wings and gave her newborn an unhappy face. She was close to stepping in, but the aurora was unphased and so she held back, gripping Zeke’s arm a little harder in her anxiety.

At the unhappy look from her charge she hurried forward, letting go of the raver’s arm and half jogging over to the girl. “What is it Revontulet?” the redhead asked, holding out her hand to the girl who instantly placed her pale, smooth fingers within the offered palm. The neon gaze turned back to the spider before looking back to Doucette. “Oh honey, I think Anya is worried you will try to get too close. She is very beautiful, of course you would want to get closer. But you have to be careful with people, the closer you are to someone the more uncomfortable they can get.

Doucette smiled warmly at Anya. “Sorry Anya.” she said, apologizing for the girl who still looked perplexed about the explanation. Didn’t want to be close? How could you touch if you weren’t close? Ren did not understand the concept.

Turning back to Zeke, Doucette raised her free hand, holding onto Ren now that she was worried something might happen between the girl and Anya. “Is that everything Zeke? I actually...should be going unfortunately. But I do so hope that Anya will come over some time and get to know Revon better,” Doe offered, using the name Anya had given her charge, “I would be happy if she could grow as beautiful and regal as miss Anya.
