"Hmm?" Rin looked back to Melvin curiously. "Oh. No no.. I just... figured I could take care of that after I have... visualized... where I wanted everything. Right?" As if it were his excuse instead of her own. It was then she noticed the change in clothes... she's never seen him without a sweater... wait... was he not wearing a turtleneck? Did she die? Is this is what heaven is like? Rin is sorely disappointed if it is.

"Then how about we find some bucket to toss all the dead things into and then we can dump it outside. Whatever soil you think might work to keep, we can put in those pots, and what soil won't work we can dump with the dead plants. Once all the messy stuff is done, we can get to sweeping everything up and seeing this space for what it is. Then you can decide what areas will be for what, how much space you have to work in, and what you need. I don't even know if this place has any working pipes either for water....or electricity. Did you check?" He asked, moving over to to a nearby empty pot and taking no notice to Rin looking at his change of wardrobe.
He moved the empty pot, set it beside the rows of organized, dead plants, and then moved back to pick up some heavy duty gloves from the bucket before tossing a pair at her. "Found these in the labs. They use them to handle the heartless pets." Since they had thick thorns.
Putting them on, he moved over and started to dump the dead plants into the empty bucket. "Tell me what soil we can keep and I'll toss the rest in this pot." Melvin was now entering the zone of cleaning.

"Perhaps we can make a compost pile, then?" Rin was just taking your suggestion and running with it Melvin. She was still eyeing his clothing however, a curious look on her face. Rin tried to move a little closer as she eyed the collar of his shirt critically.

"Oh, well. If it works and you can use it. I don't really do gardens." They were dirty things that involved sweating out in the sun. If he wanted flowers or food, he'd just buy it from the store.
He continued to pull dead plants and placing them into the other now-compost-pile pot before glancing over at Rin who was moving ever closer to him.
I think Rin has the hots for you.
What?! Where did that come from all of a sudden?
Look at her! She's pracitically ready to climb you with how close she's coming.
Rin was close. Too close. It was a good thing he wasn't wearing a sweater - it was getting a bit warm around here. Did Rin even like him? It was a still thing to think about considering his own personal policy. Seeing as she dated Rep and the Sun and Melvin held no similarities what-so-ever, he couldn't imagine Rin being into him at all.
She was close though.
You should compliment her. I bet she will just freak the Jack out.

He glanced over at her. While she still looked the same, her outfit had been exchanged for a oversized shirt. It wasn't exactly something to compliment. There was absolutely nothing different to prompt a compliment meaning any would seem out of the blue. However, curiosity always got the better of him.
"It's nice to see you dressed down. Makes this place seem like we're not on the island."
He could feel Saliva smacking his forehead and was just confused.

Rin was still staring, certain she could make out just the edges of this legendary scar of his when... she kind of stared for a moment trying to figure out what just happened exactly. Was that a complement or an insult? Or an insult pretending it was a compliment? In the end, Rin shook her head with a chuckle. "Not gunna lie, sometimes it's hard to figure out what you are trying to say." She decided to try and poke him into clarifying a bit. Hopefully he gets the hint.

Rin wasn't sure what the number of that random word bus that ran her over was. But it left her staring and completely unable to comprehend the question about running water. Then she squinted suspiciously at you Melvin. "Wait wait woa. Was that an insult or a compliment?" She clearly had to be more direct with him. "Because I want to know if I should be pissed or flattered here."

"Oh," Rin smiled a bit. "Well thank you," she started reaching for a few dead plants, finally helping him out. But now she was back to eyeing his neck curiously. "I like your shirt too."

He glanced down at what he was wearing and raised a manicured eyebrow. "Really? I just wore something that I wouldn't worry about getting dirty." He missed his sweaters though. At the very least, he had to invest in more hoodies he could zip up from the front. That way he could still have something that covered a lot of him but wouldn't leave him overheating.
"Um, about the water?"

"Me too," Rin pointed out about her own over sized t-shirt that he tried to vaguely complement. She smirked to herself; clearly this water was extremely important to him. "Yup, and electricity. Thank god for being an ex moon, am I right?"

"Well, let's hope you didn't fix a pipe around here with an emergency splint." He joked, and continued working. Usually he was rather focused when cleaning, but Rin was still looking at him. "Is everything okay?"

Rin snorted, "Oh come now, I'm not that incompetent." Yep though, sure enough she was still staring and not at all focusing on her project as she probably should have been. She raised a brow at his question, gaze twitching to meet his, "Yeah. Of course! Why would anything be wrong?"
