I don't write romance stories either. Well, I'll use romance to develop characters and advance the plot, as well as discuss romantic ideas in the philosophical sense, but not romance genre stories. haha. But sci-fi and fantasy, I'll jump right into those.

Collaborative stories would be fun too. And being in a guild probably means there's less likely of a chance for someone to come in and completely derail the story.

Careful saying there's no max limit around me! xd

well then i could've used you to create romantic entanglements for my characters. i have pairings between teammates on Operation W.A.S.P.
Max and Phoebe
Willis and Starla
Caitlin and Alex
the other three don't have any. it's 6 guys and 3 girls. different from power rangers with only 3 guys and 2 girls; or when they have a 6th ranger, and have it 4 guys and 2 girls.

Developing romantic connections is like developing any other relationship between characters, or other aspects of their personality. It does tend to cause a lot more tension and friction due to how passion affects people, but it can also be used to pull a bigger group together.

My most recent work with that involved a love triangle with two boys and one girl. but then one of the boys was pursuing the girl more for his pride and vanity, which I was slowly breaking him out of. Once he matured beyond that, I had a third boy who took a surprising development for falling in love with the girl, keeping it a triangle, lol. Some characters can surprise even the author.

Aha! Yes, I do love sci-fi myself! It seems we have a bit of a consensus on that topic!
You have quite a bit of work under you belt! I would love to see a sample of your writing....oh yeah! Deviantart! Hahaha, I have it up and everything...forgetful me. sweatdrop

Ysavvryl

Hahaha, it's funny, because, even though I listed romance as a suggestion, I have never really written any romance! I use it in much the same manner you do, but I do like to watch romance. I have become increasingly mushy over the years. whee

Yes, as I said, we seem to have a great sci-fi confab here! That is great! We could definitely take a story idea from each person here and collaborate if that is the case!

Collaborative stories would be fun too. And being in a guild probably means there's less likely of a chance for someone to come in and completely derail the story.

Yes! Collabrorative stories was actually my first idea but I thought "Why not just discuss it within the Anthology?" I didn't think anyone would be interested. I know some people you jealously guard their stories and often cannot cooperate with other writers to make a plot agreeable to everyone. But it seems that I may have been mistaken!
(maybe we can use some of the charters displayed in the character share thread, it seems that you and I were the only ones who ever posted sad )

Hahaha! No max limit per se
If you are going to post writings equivalent to Tolkien's entire collected works then I would say you may be going too far. But other than that, I really don't see any problem with it!

Just remember people have to read it, length will be no problem with interesting writing and I believe that you are 100% an interesting writer!

Oh, sorry for the confusion.
No one is going to steal anyone's stories. I meant what I said earlier to mean that many people do not enjoy sharing their ideas or letting someone write on the story that the person came up with here.

Even if the story was created for the purposes of sharing it with others, some writers jealously guard their creative vision for it. This is the kind of thing I want to avoid.

Also, this is not a thread to work on our personal works. This is a thread made specifically for anthologies and collaborations whatever they may be.

I hope this helped!

You guys wouldn't like my boring ramblings, there is a lot of action, explosions, ninjas with mustaches, bazooka dogs with lasers, a s**t ton of enemies bent on taking over a little town, and explosions.

I wouldn't say that!

There are plenty of places for your style of story telling. If we are doing one story, there may be a moment when lots of action would be great.

Since the main idea of this thread is to do an anthology, you can do whatever you like! It will be a collection of authors different works independent from the other stories being told, usually under one theme.

Like, if action was our theme, we could all write separate action stories.
We could also write the same action story and take turns writing the chapters.

Oooh! What does a bazooka dog look like? And a love a good mustached ninja story...I think!

Hahahaha! xd

Seriously anything is fine here!

Would you guys like discussing themes and ideas?

I also thought our theme could be something like items or characters that our writings could have in common instead of an over all theme.

That way your story can be about whatever you want, you may just have to reuse the same set of characters. Or something like that.

What do you all think?

anybody wanna give me a hand putting love scenes into the proper areas of my fanfictions, be my guest. i've been listening to this song by whitney houston and for some reason, it gives me some weird sensation that makes me wanna write love scenes, but i don't know the first thing about writing them and i never will.

btw, this is the whitney houston song (a cover song actually)

rofl Yeah, music gives quite an impact.

As for when to put in romance scenes, there's nothing really I could suggest other than reading other stories and seeing what they do with romance. It tends to be a case by case basis, where something that works for one couple doesn't work for another.

Then I volunteer to be the constantly overused character! And do things such as improvising, magic tricks, and bear juggling to win over the audience in the name of Queen Sen and the Royal Guards!! scream
