He could snort in derision at Colin having said the information wasn't online, but it really wasn't that far-fetched an idea; there was very little one couldn't find online, no matter how strange or outlandish it sounded. Being a Trekkie and avid fan of such things, he knew very well that conspiracy theories and more could be found with the click of the mouse if you put in the correct key words.

"People will post almost anything online, whether or not anyone else believes it."

As for love being overrated, well...Colin didn't quite agree; then again, he had a wonderful relationship with his boyfriend and though he had been in other, darker relationships he tried to keep the good things in mind. It was far too easy to slip into depression, to wallow in self-pity or dwell on things you couldn't change from the past. "I can't say I agree but I believe you when you say they paid for it. We're still seeing the after-effects now, aren't we?"

Obsidian's expression was really hard to read and Colin couldn't help swallowing, his mouth suddenly going dry. General? Oh god, this guy was way above his power level...if he figured out that Colin was a senshi, he could easily kill him.

"I'm Colin. Colin Hargrove." Just your average, everyday bisexual, dance-loving Menshi-in-hiding. "General Obsidian. You must be pretty important to be a General." Colin's tone wasn't mocking at all, he was quite serious. "If the Senshi are aliens, then where do the members of the Negaverse come from?" He thought he understood from what the red head had said before: don't side with the aliens. Which implied that they, the Negaverse, were Earthians (as he had once thought himself to be).

"You guys are from here, aren't you? Earthians protecting the Earth." Obby was solidifying Colin's determination that he was on the wrong side with each minute he stood there, taking the time to talk to him.

Important. Yes, he'd made certain of that, hadn't he? After everything he'd given to the Negaverse... the very least he could be was important. The thought was enough to make his lips twitch, but there was no mirth in his eyes even as they slid back to study this Colin Hargrove.

"Correct." The word was soft and mocking, as though he were a man speaking to a particularly stupid child. "We're from Earth. And yet, we're the bad guys. How does that work out?"

It probably had something to do with the murder--but as far as Obsidian was concerned, Order members had brought that upon themselves. He prowled closer, not quite brushing against Colin's side as he began to pace. It was a slow, steady motion, for the general knew he was completely in control of this situation.

"So if you had a choice, Hargrove," Obsidian said lightly, but his gaze bored holes into the boy even as he continued to circle. "Which would you side with? Aliens? Or humans?"

The red-haired General's mercurial mood and stunted, abrupt manners were disquieting, to say the least; when Obsidian came closer, Colin had to fight the urge to grab the transformation wand hidden on his person. So the guy was creepy as ********, so what - he'd probably been through all manner of unspeakable things to get to General!

Besides, he was there, talking to him (sometimes in a voice Colin didn't appreciate, but whatever)... taking the time to tell him things. Surely if he'd meant Colin harm it would have come long before this point?

Even so, Colin's nerves were stretched taut, strung as tightly as any drum-head or cello string. Wait, IF. He said If, as though Colin didn't have a choice! Did Obsidian mean to take him, after all? Green eyes narrowed, but the boy didn't quail or step back from Obsidian's sharp gaze.

"Humans, of course."

"Hmmm," It was a low, thoughtful noise, and Obsidian clicked his teeth together in a way that might have been disturbing, still watching Colin as he did so. "That's the right choice, of course. But do you know that people willingly embrace the other side? The Order fills their head with whimsy and wonder, frightens them with stories of Chaos and the Negaverse like we're monsters under the bed."

He continued to prowl, looking engrossed.

"Those who squeal the loudest often have the most to hide. So I've heard."

His grin was full of amusement as he paused mid-step. "What does the internet have to say about that?"

Keeping his eyes locked on Obsidian's face and form was sure to leave Colin with some very...interesting nightmares. He knew this as much as he knew the energy pouring from the guy was more than enough to bash his brains in, Sailor Aegir or no. It was best if he just remained 'civilian' and didn't show the red-head that he was, in fact, one of those "other guys" that he so clearly wished to grind between his teeth.

The blond shuddered a little before he fought to still himself. "I...can believe it." After all, how many people believed in conflicting religions? It was a similar principle, really. "I mean, there are a bunch of different religions, so...I'm not surprised." He wet his lips quickly, pink tongue flicking out very briefly before disappearing again, "I don't believe it." Well, kind of....because he'd been face to face with Youma before...and those were definitely "monsters", no matter their origins.

But this wasn't about youma, this was about the people behind each faction. And surviving. Colin was pretty certain that the General would destroy him for a "wrong" answer and never think twice about it. He began talking faster, his stomach doing very unpleasant flops and twists, as though it were about to do Something....suddenly and violently and all over the place.

Colin willed himself to calm down and be okay, to present a more confident face than he really felt.

"Well, that Swagger guy interviewed some of your people and it was really open...I don't think the um, "Order" side has done anything like it. So...maybe they really do have something to hide."

Swagger. The news reporter. Obsidian remembered his face vaguely from the television... but it had been a long, long time. "Uh-huh. If they're so into being the righteous side of this war, you'd think the first thing they'd try is to get the civilians on their side."

The senshi had never been smart about public relations. He himself cared little about making nice with anyone, but he supposed someone had to.

"I'm gonna be honest with you," The general said after a beat, glancing askew at the boy. "I'm getting bored. You have more questions, ask them. I've got bigger fish to fry." Senshi to kill. Starseeds to eat. Hell, maybe even some recruits to kick if they weren't in line.

"Just remember," Obsidian continued, and his grin didn't meet those cold eyes whatsoever. "We're putting our necks out for you, because we are you. Think of that whenever someone tries to support the terrorists."

Despite the face that Obsidian's pacing was extremely unsettling, Colin continued trying to keep positive about their interaction; if the red-headed General wanted to rip out his star-seed or just kill him outright, he would have already done so. He was still answering questions, still speaking to him as a person and while the dancer didn't exactly feel safe, he was pretty sure he'd make it out of this alive if he didn't accidentally piss Obsidian off.

"That's what I'd do too. It doesn't really seem like they're interested in getting support from us." He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, earth-green eyes glancing around for any other person, for a distraction or a way out. Sure, he was getting information, which was good, but this guy was seriously unbalanced. It didn't take a shrink to figure that out.

"Um, it's okay. I really appreciate that you've taken this much time to talk to me." He tried to give the other man a bit of a smile, but it didn't go very far. "General Obsidian?" Colin cleared his throat a little bit and offered his hand for the other man to shake;; there weren't many ways that he could make apparent just how thankful he really was for what the Negaverse was doing (according to Obsidian and Co.) but he did want to at least try.

"I won't keep you any longer,I know you're busy. I really do appreciate what the Negaverse does to protect the Earth. Thank you for trying to keep us safe"

It would have been hilarious to any listening White Moon aligned Senshi, if only they weren't alone and he weren't so bloody serious. Colin wouldn't leave first, he would wait until Obsidian left before he headed back to his dorm room and curled up in bed with his lover to sleep.
