"Excellent" Zangar had responded as Kreyate sated he knew how to cross the river, honestly the brown stallion was really just happy that Kreyate had something useful to add to this trip for once. Of course what the stallion knew would have to wait until the morning, crossing in the dark - even if Kreyate did know the way was far to dangerous for Zangar to consider with his less them apt companion in tow.

Turning about the stallion led Kreyate back towards the tree line, he had seen a down tree right along the edge and that he supposed would provide at least a little bit of protection and shelter should the weather turn..or prying eyes sweep the shoreline. One never knew just what they might find wandering riverbanks in the night. "Come on." He urged the other stallion to take cover beside the tree"This should be good enough for now. In the morning you can show me how you get across the river."

Kreyate didn't want to leave the bank, he didn't want to move away from river as it was the sure, without a doubt sign, that he was almost home. What would happen if he moved away from the river and...and it wasn't there in the morning? Could such a thing even happen? Kreyate wasn't sure he wanted to test the theory. So when Zangar moved off Kreyate remained at the river bank, looking longingly across it. Home, it was just a bit further away, then he could be happy again, working hard each day for little reward. Not most Soquili's dreams but it was the only life Kreyate knew, the only one he wanted to know. He needed to move, Zangar would get mad if he didn't, and while the stallions anger was nothing compared to that of the Sisters, he didn't want to end this trip on a bad note. Kreyate closed his eyes for a moment, please still be here in the morning, he silently prayed and then slowly turned towards where Zangar had gone.

He paused after a couple of steps and glanced over his should. The river was still there. With that lifting his spirits Kreyate moved to where Zangar and the fallen tree was. Kreyate carefully made his way into the hiding spot and found a spot to lay down, but first he cast another glance at the river, he could no longer see it but the sound of moving water reached his ears. With a sigh he lowered his large body to the ground and looked at Zangar. "Kreyate glad to be home." It was the closest thing to 'thank you' that the stallion could come up with.

Zanger shifted restless from leg to leg while the large stallion stood by the river bank..was he ignoring him? Or had he not understood the suggestion? With Kreyate it was hard to tell sometimes. Zangar tried to be patient..he really did, Kreyate obviously couldn't help being the way he was..but sometimes it was hard to not give into the desire to whack him in the head from time to time for doing silly things.

Thankfully it seemed the other stallion was going to listen as he made his way over after only a few moments of staring. Good..Zanger hadn't wanted to spend the evening arguing with the big brute. Laying down nearby the other stallion once he was settle Zangar couldn't help but smile inwardly at the others words. "Yes..well, I'm glad to have gotten you here." Zangar told him "Now lets get some sleep." He finished, laying his head down and closing his eyes.

And that was that. Kreyate nodded, because what else could he add. Zangar had helped him get home, which no other Soquili had done, not that he had exactly sought out help in the matter. Kreyate had been fortunate, even if the initial encounter with Zangar had been scary, to run into the stallion when he did. Who knew how many more days, weeks or months he would have aimlessly wandered about searching for home before eventually, hopefully stumbling upon it. He owed Zangar so much but he had nothing to given him and couldn't even find the words he wanted to say. Thank you just wasn't in his vocabulary, it's how he was raised, but he was thankful none the less.

Sleep would not come easy to him tonight, he was too close and didn't want to sleep through tomorrow. Tomorrow, tomorrow he would finally be home and he would work harder than ever to please the Sisters. Though brought an awkward smile to his face. Oh how he loved to serve those ill-tempered mares. He looked over to his traveling partner but Zangar already appeared asleep. He should sleep as well, very little light remained in the sky but Kreyate stayed awake until everything was dark, he eyes glued to the other side of the river, hoping to see a late night patrol pass by. But when that didn't happen and complete darkness swallowed him Kreyate closed his eyes and let a light sleep take over, dreams of home filling his thoughts.
