The pet, who was so happy to be loved, was also named Bothersome Fire for a reason. He was just soaking up all of the affection and lounging rather pleased with it all. Life was good. There was no squirt bottle of doom involved at all. Though he was a bit concerned with her talking to the group like she wanted to leave. His happiness would be gone.

Molan, had other concerns. What his brother said merely caused him to tilt his head curious over the sudden... odd topic. There was much of a difference? "I... what?" The fox did glance at the rather messy work his brother had done with a sigh before shaking his head. He finished cutting up the cheese into little squares at the point of his brother's whining and decided to hand him the tray instead. It was far from perfect, but it was workable. Effort was something that the older boil could put forth when he felt the desire to. "Then go take care of this and switch?" He offered, patting him briefly on the head before shifting to try and take what was left of the vegetables from the frost demon.

...how was he going to fix this. He squinted a bit at it before perking up at Terra's statement, glancing over briefly. "Can you perform magic on something that's been attacked?" Because really, they needed some help.

...it was a bit sad to think they might have already ruined it.

"You should probably let her cut the vegetables. We're rather terrible," Etzer sighed, drawing the back of his hand across his forehead in mock exasperation.

"I'm good with clothing. I'm good with writing. I'm used to having our meals made for us. They made it look easy." He took Molan's hands, shaking them as he stared at his brother, eyes wide. "WHY IS IT NOT EASY?" He was either serious, or... putting on a show. Knowing Etzer, it was a mixture of both.

Damn frost demon.

"If you two would not mind, perhaps you could read the cooking directions?" Terra asked as she chopped the vegetables with an expert skill. She was GOOD at cooking. "That way you will be helping!"

Yes, they were helping HER, not the other way around. But she was being very polite about it! "Mi madre, she taught me to cook when I was a child," she explained, the finely chopped vegetables going into neat little piles. "She said that it was the only ladylike skill I was good at," she added with a little grin. "So I should at least do the part that I am good at, no?"

She glanced at the two with a little smile. "If you wish, I can teach you!"

But... how was he going to practice if he just let someone else do it? He gave his brother something of a look before glancing back to Terra and nodding. He'd let her do the majority of it. "I prefer to try as well, so perhaps instructions?" He replied, not quite as eager as his brother to give up and step down. He was going to master the simple art of cooking.

Because he couldn't eat takeout forever.

"I'd love pointers though." He added, giving his brother a look at the mention of 'getting used to' such foods. That was not healthy. Nor was it exactly anything to boast about. Really. The only acceptable thing about it was the fact he'd at least been eating something. "I'd rather not be stuck accepting a fate of..." He left it at that, instead smiling as he glanced at the directions.

Seeing as she had asked them to read them.

"It says next to saute the vegetables-" He knew what that was, he didn't know if there was a specific order, or... well the finer details. What heat should the stove even be at? Hopefully the bewildered deer in headlights stare she was getting got the point across. Because he knew to get a pan, which kind, and well... finer details. Finer details. "Do you want me to start that?"
