He stepped out from behind a tree that was twenty feet from Naruto. The man was completely covered in bandages and his appearance resembled that of a mummy. He also had a single orange eye in the middle of his mask/thin helmet. Everything but the eye, and a sheathed Katana across his back, was covered by bandages. The mummy chose not to answer his first question. He walked closer towards Naruto and stopped when he was ten feet away. "Tracking." The answer could have easily been directed to both questions. He was waiting for the young man to ask a specific question relating to HUV. It was going to be discussed at some point.

Naruto was excited that he finally found an older shinobi from his village (technically), but there was a searching look on his face. "Why didn't you come, Frank?" He waited several seconds before continuing, "Me and Zach, we're lucky to be alive. I think they even spared us the more I think about it." He experienced a quick flash back at the end of the fight where Kaimen could have easily finished Naruto if he willed it. His voice started to rise, "Where was everyone? Why were we the only two defending the Village? They were ******** strong as hell. Plus, one of them looked exactly like you, but he had a yellow eye and some kind of black suit." His voice went back to normal as he explained more. "He was no where near as dangerous as Kaimen, though. I think he said his name was Teer Kr.. something."

The mummy's head looked to the side slightly before he looked back at Naruto. Impossible. Saidusai was the only one who was there at the time. How can that be possible? He quickly thought of a response so as to not raise concern. "I wasn't near the Uchiha Village when the attack happened; I was tracking someone. I don't know why no one helped you two. That is abnormal." He started to pace slowly around Naruto, "You and Zach should be commended for surviving, if that was the case. Clearly Kaimen had his personal reasons for leaving you two alive. That aside, you each held your own it sounds like." The mummy stopped when he was near and next to Naruto's side. "Leaving you two alive was a long-term mistake on their part. Will you seek revenge?"

The white fox went up to the mummy and sniffed his right foot before returning to Naruto's opposite side. "Yes, of course. Me and Zach split up so we could hunt them down. What do you mean by long-term mistake?"

"If you fight a shinobi and live another day, then you've seen what they're capable of. You know their attacks. You can be prepared for next time." The mummy started to form handseals and strange arm movements. Crow Techniques: Shadows of Corruption Naruto's and the mummy's shadows darkened and came alive. They shot up from the ground around them, and enveloped both of them within an oval bubble almost. The white fox was left outside, and if she tried to do anything to the oval-shaped darkness, it would come out the other side as if it wasn't there. "You two are not prepared to fight them again. You are in over your heads." The oval they were in would allow them secrecy in case someone was trying to listen in. They could see and hear outside the tinted veil, but no one from the outside could see in or hear what's inside the veil.

The white fox started yipping and complaining when Naruto disappeared behind the oval bubble. She charged through it and appeared out the other side. Confused, the white fox started to circle the narrow bubble while examining it.
Naruto looked around wildly when the technique happened. It had been awhile since he had seen a crow technique used. He immediately interjected, "They killed civilians!! I searched the rubble and found dead bodies. You think you're going to stop us? Zach is probably hunting down one of them as we speak. We're out for blood, and no one's going to stand in our way!" He shouted.

"I wasn't going to ultimately stop you. It's suicide to attack them as you are. Don't ruin your advantage, Naruto. They won't expect retaliation." The mummy ignored the white fox's attempts. "I will train you one last time, but only if you promise me something. You must use what is taught to you to help others who are weaker than yourself and strong in heart. People who deserve to be helped. If I find out that you abuse my teachings to further your own agenda or ill-fated desires, I will find you again and kill you." He turned his head sideways so he could look at Naruto. "Do you accept this responsibility?"

The flash back jumped forwards three more years, when Naruto finished his training with the mummy. In the mean time, they had secretly located where several members of the Hidden Uchiha Village relocated to. The two couldn't contact Zach Barren, but Naruto wanted to find someone else specifically. Someone who wasn't directly tied to the politics of the village, but was still high-up in rank. He wanted answers about what happened that day the three shinobi destroyed their home. Why no one came to help. The mummy had suggested not to trust anyone from the village at this point. Naruto knew he would be able to trust this person if he could find him. The two had planned to part ways temporarily, and so they did. Naruto investigated a backwater village with his white fox Koori at his side, for there were clues hinting to a shinobi's presence there.

It was another day, like any day in the solitude of the forest and self-exile. What he was doing, was unimportant and without remembrance; what he had heard, however, was the distinction to his day. A weak and shrill scream broke the chatter of the forest, it was what the man faintly remembered as the sound of a little girl in fright. There was a village nearby, but the man avoided it... avoided its people for he chose to be alone. He decided to disregard the cry, chalking it up to playing children, till he heard a series of howls. That sound he knew for sure, for it belong to the wandering wolf packs and was usually the signal of a meal.
Taking to the trees, the man traced the sound till he came to a clearing. Peering down he could see the small child being surrounded by a pack of wolves, ten in total. There was no doubting what fate was about to befall the child and the man took a moment for consideration. The wolves were also innocent, a family hungry and in need of a meal... infact... the wolves were more kin to the man than this child; for he lived in the world of beasts not of men. But the world isn't fair and it is the choice of the strong to determine who shall live.
Leaping from the treeline, the man landed aside the child, quickly scooping her up into his arms. Using his foot as a pivot and holding out his arm, he diverted the momentum of his fall outward into a 360 degree spin. Coming to a stop, the man took a relax stance, setting the child down. The surrounding wolves cocked their heads, confused by the appearance and flare of the newcomer, and delighted by the prospect of more food. Disregarding the lot, the man kneeled down and placed his hands over the child's ears after whispering something to her. He told her to close her eyes and that when he took his hands from her ears, that she would be safe and should run home.
Upon closing her eyes, a massive surge of wind kicked up and howled. Lines of wind swirled visibly around the two in the same motion the man had made earlier. The wolves didn't react, having already been pierced by high density winds the moment the man had landed. The effect was bloody and full of gore, but the wind pushed back and sent the debris away. When the man's hand left the girl's ears, her eyes opened, but no one was there. The man watched her confusion, again from the tree lines, as she turned and ran home... certain to tell someone of what she saw.

A week had gone by and a foot of snow had fallen on the small village. There were two sets of tracks that lead up to the village, but they were already fading from the wind.
Naruto was in a white cloak with the hood pulled up. His white fox, Koori, was the size of a dog. They were walking with one of the villagers in silence. Naruto suddenly said, "Thank you again for doing this." The villager smiled in response as they continued on.

He could hear children playing around the corner as they approached.
The villager that was escorting Naruto called out someone's name, "--, come here please!" A little boy peered out from around the corner of the building as the two approached. His eyes widened when he saw Koori, "FLUFFY DOGGY!" Seven more children popped up around the corner, copying the boy's reaction and then running over to Koori screaming and shouting.
The white fox backed up behind Naruto before taking off and dodging into an alley. The kids chased after Koori laughing and screaming. Naruto's attention was quickly drawn to a little girl that finally appeared from around the corner of the building.

Naruto looked to the father of the girl for unspoken permission to approach and ask questions.
The villager nodded to Naruto, then addressed his daughter, "This man wants to ask you about what happened a week ago." The little girl kept half-hidden behind the corner, unsure whether or not it was ok to come out. The father motioned for her to come closer, "Don't be scared, just tell him what you told me."
Naruto barely approached her and knelt on one knee to be at equal height to the girl. He put on a pleasant smile, "Was the person that helped you very tall?"
The girl looked at him and nodded silently.
He looked over his shoulder and pointed in the distance where a snow-covered forest could be seen. "That's where it happened, right?" He asked casually.
The little girl came out from behind the building. She shook her head and pointed slightly to the right of where Naruto pointed.
"Mmm, I see. You must be very brave, you know. Going that far out into the forest." He paused and studied the little girl's solemn expression, "Let's be honest, you could have taken those animals no problem." Naruto held out a flat palm that faced the sky, while still being horizontal to the ground. He twitched his head back, "Come on, give me five!"
The little girl walked up and slapped the palm with hers lightly.
He pulled his hand back quickly and shook it severely, "Oof, so strong..!" Naruto used his other hand to rub the top of her head, "You're a good kid. Thank you for the information."
She grinned, clearly pleased with the compliment. She ran off to go play with the others.

Another day went by in the flashback. Naruto and Koori were forcing their way into the forest against the cold heavy-winds. There was probably a storm blowing by and they were on the outskirts of it. This was Koori's natural environment; she was use to this kind of cold. It was Naruto that wasn't accustom to it.
The further the two went into the forest, the less windy it became. Naruto was using a small amount of chakra (at the bottom of his footwear) to keep himself from stomping and crunching loudly into the snow. The white fox was doing the same. Naruto pulled out a stringless black bow from the depths of his cloak and held it by his side as they kept going.

A green cloaked figure sat silently in a tree branch, unmoving as he stared down at the man and fox below. Though the two made no noise as they traveled, their presence was given away by the fleeing of animals and a scent that did not belong in the forest. It was clear that these two could use chakra and were not the normal sort that passed through aimlessly; they were powerful and here for something. Gritting his teeth, the man let out a silent groan, grimacing the human encroachment upon his tranquil forest. The man decided to follow the pair a bit, curious about their intentions, and while the two used chakra to conceal their movements, the man used nothing more than slow careful movements. Infact, the man seemed to have very little chakra at all.
