Sally smiled and nodded. ~I've noticed. But... Silly colt has to grow up some time.~ She turned her head sideways. A face with more expression might display narrowed eyes and a curled lip. ~If he splits my hips open again I might have to knock him one good upside the head.~ It took her a moment to realize she'd thunk that out loud. ~Maybe it'll knock something into place.~

Alfred smiled slightly. "Maybe he simply wants a young lady's affection. Colts do tend to express their affections through rough play." Maybe not, but it was a possibility. "It could, but it might also knock something loose, Miss Sally."

Sally snickered. ~If that colt even knows he can get someone's affections, I'd be surprised... he's more interested in jumping than interacting.~ She hummed and shrugged. ~True... Plus, I don't think his parents would let me continue to sit after striking their... 'foal'.~ She smiled. ~I suppose I'll just keep to my own way of doing things, then.~

Alfred nodded. "And if that doesn't work, you are always welcome to bring him here. I'm sure I could assist in some manner." Even if only to let him patch up the tears that her friend had caused.

Sally smiled softly and dipped her head like a flattered spring foal. ~I'd rather keep him away from my friends, in all honesty. At least when he clips my seams, I don't feel it. He doesn't seem to realize how dangerous it is, and I worry he may someday clip the wrong spine.~

Alfred dipped his head. "It's quite alright, Miss. I imagine he would have trouble clipping a spine that is out or range. Although it is quiet now, this mansion used to be quite lively; I am accustomed to... rambunctious behavior."

Sally chuckled softly, smiling at the Stallion. ~I'll have to come around much more often, then. If for nothing more than the stimulating conversation.~ She was teasing, but only lightly. ~You won't mind, I'm sure. As big and empty as this stable is, you must be lonesome.~

Sally hummed and tilted her head up at the stallion, then smiled. ~Well, such a pretty blotch shouldn't be left alone so long. Maybe I'll stay a while.~ She smiled. ~Perhaps I can help in the garden, or make some tea?~

Alfred nodded. "Your company is more than sufficient, but I would not mind if you assisted with the garden." He cracked a smile. "If your friend is as lively as you say, it might need the extra attention."

She smiled and nodded, ready to follow him. ~Have you at all considered a greenhouse... A building made specifically to house the plants and such? I understand humans and other twoleggers use them to protect plants from outside elements... Like... Rambunctious Azrein...~

Alfred shook his head. "I have heard of them, but it would not be as lovely as this would be." He gestured to the garden as he walked. "If there ever was a greenhouse constructed, it would likely be for vegetables instead of flowers." The vegetables garden was for food and not beauty, after all.

Sally just smiled. Without color, it was just a bunch of blotchy shapes, to her. Admittedly, they were shapier blotchy shapes, now, and the form held a beauty she wasn't used to, but they were still just shapes of gray. ~I imagine it is far prettier in color.~ She hummed, nudging a bud as she walked past it. Even the scents were mostly lost on her canvas nose, since her nose was only drawn onto the fabric.

"Indeed they are." Alfred looked at her for a moment, thinking. "... Pardon my asking, Miss Sally, but do you think it would be possible to see color if your eyes were made of a different color of button?" He had plenty lying around.

I've only ever had the two, and never managed to drop one before.~ She shrugged. ~I suppose I hadn't thought about it, either, since the tailor doesn't seem to like me being around and until I met you, noone else had the skill to be trusted with a needle...~
