Kwasi hadn't stopped running as he bolted through the dorms, the school, and out onto the front lawn. He wasn't sure where he was going, but on the top of the list was as far away as possible from the horrible bed-eating minipet. As he came in site of the school gate, his feet slowed from a sprint, to a jog, to a walk. There were students up ahead, and a couple seemed to be going toe-to-toe with the black creatures that poured over the gate. No way out. Realizing as he neared the group that he was still in his pyjamas, which consisted, not to put too fine a point on it, of his boxers and a string vest, he stopped before he reached the other students, and hung back, away from the gate and the growing crowd.

Yaya had run from the dorms, and and sprinted across the lawn, dodging black bodied creatures as they formed from nothing. She had no destination in mind, only a desire to keep moving, away from the black figures, away from whatever was causing them.

Of course, she had no idea what they were, or where they even came from. She needed to find a teacher. If anyone held information, it would be them.

The first faculty member she came across was the serpentine Selene near the gates. "Professor!" She called, darting towards the elegant figure, and not stopping until she'd reached the woman's side. "Do you know what's going on?"

Their teacher wasn't the only one present, and Yaya let her focus fall on the other students that were nearby. They were all fighting, and some looked quite a bit worst for wear. "Shun, you look awful." She sounded anxious as she took a step towards him.

The djinn could fight. She'd done so many times, but she had another power now, a much more helpful one, and she intended to use it. Gesturing towards the reaper, her fingers uncurled, and she sent a loop of crystal clear water around the one eyed reaper that formed a thin halo around him before closing in to cover some of his wounds. Cool, clean, magic touched water to soothe and heal.

Amarus regarded Shun with a blank expression. He seemed tense, was he always this serious? Of course she had met him at prom, he looked familiar now; she had largely blocked those memories, for her own reasons. It was better not to remember, she had been learning, though she was doing fine lately. Amarus had nothing to do but catch up, until she wasn't dizzy, so... this was really her only recourse.

"Shun. I remember," was all she said, before turning her attention elsewhere as Olivia appeared. Amarus' aura flared for a moment, expressing her clear pleasure at seeing the wight. "Olivia! You look fine, minus a few tears," she said, relieved, "You are always a tiny powerhouse, aren't you?" she added, with a hint of pride in her cute friend. Amarus, despite feeling dizzy continuously, and now faintly nauseous, reached for Olivia and attempted their customary scoop up and spin ritual.

Every situation she ended up in was dire. Amarus had long since come to terms with the fact that if she didn't express joy at fighting alongside her friends, she'd likely never get to express joy at all.

Shun seemed to be attracting more allies, and Amarus was relieved that they were no longer left to defend the gates alone. "I am relieved to see you both, though I recognize neither of you," she addressed them, whenever they were in close enough proximity. Then, turning back to Olivia to give her a blank (it was supposed to be stern) look, she added:"Do not let the black creatures eat you, alright? I can't replace you like a desk!"

Running from the dorms that seemed to be engulfed in shadows, just like her room, Millie ended up at the gates of the school where others had gathered.

Recovering her breath from running, Millie held her weapon out in front of her in a defensive stance towards the creatures. She felt self-conscious in nothing but a nightgown, but thankfully it looked like everyone else had been chased out of their room just as she had.

"If this is someone's idea of a pajama party, this is not the way to do it..."

Damn, it appeared no one else had a clue as to what as going on. It wasn't a huge concern to the dragoness however, as she was more focused on getting rid of the mass of minipets eating everything.

Her ears twitched at Shuns suggestion as she jumped off the fence, more then happy to revert to her natural form to lay the smack down. Removing her pin, her body shifted to a much larger blue dragon. Baring her teeth against the shadowlings she literally charged forward, lowing her head and swinging from side to side to throw them away from a few of the students.

As she lumbered backwards, her heard turned towards one of the ghouls, a purple haired ghost, as she spoke to her. She grinned a toothy grin in response. "Pokerus is my name, and if you need a bulldozer just give me a shout." Her attention then changed to the professor nearby as she recalled a class with her.

"Umm...perhaps if you used your natural form too, you could scare away the minis?" She was pretty sure the professor had a natural form...

Oh. So they were all in the dark, even the ones who'd been here? Well, that really didn't help. His ears drooped a bit as he glanced off at the mess that was the gate and sighed lightly. What a mess, and it seemed some of the students where trying to get rid of them. That seemed a pretty good idea. I mean, they were sort of destroying things. Everything. He'd kind of had a bit of a fight with one earlier. "Wonderful" There was a bit more than a bitter tone to his voice as he shook his head. Even if he agreed with getting rid of the things, this seemed like it shouldn't have even been an issue.

Which led to the thought of trying to turn one into a living sculpture for a bit of vengeance. Unfortunately, his aim... was a bit off. Rather than managing to engulf the small shadowy creature in a thin mist of frost and ice his seemed to hit Amarus a bit with it, but instead of causing a potentially painful layer of ice, it seemed to heal up a few of her scratches?

When had that happened? The last time he checked if he hit people with that it hurt. It certainly... wasn't meant to mend. It was good of course that she hadn't been hurt, but... well. His face was contorted. Confusion was evident as he cocked his head to one side and wondered just what had occurred. And then promptly sighed as he chalked it up to another of the oddities of the night. "Weirder... and worse things have happened." He mumbled while shaking his head. Apparently he healed things now with ice, and seeing as how physical combat wasn't his forte he was probably going to be stuck like this.

Mot ran full tilt for the gates, FooFoo the Foxfire pitter pattering behind him. His shotgun was summoned to ward off any creatures who would stop him from protecting his precious pet.

But the gates... he was stopped by a wall of black.

Mot stared in horror, his pet cowering behind him with a wimper. "What do I do..."

Like so many before her, Needle scampered out of her dorm and headed towards the gates. Unlike everyone else though, it was a very awkward, stumbling process. Her eyesight sucked already, but throw in blobs of yellow eyed everything eaters? She was doomed.

It was something of a miracle that she even made it to the gates in one piece.

Despite the rude awakening, today turned out to be her lucky day: she escaped her room, managed to make it to the gates unharmed, and ran into an old friend! Unfortunately for said old friend, she literally ran into him. Again.

"Oof!" The ghost gasped as she bumped into poor Mot, stumbling back a pace or two. "Ah, my apologies!"
