Her assessment of the situation was this: She wanted to go back to bed, she didn't want to fight these odd shadowlings (if she did, she'd go training), and since there seemed to be tons of these things, worrying about herself made her kind of selfish. No, she was here to focus, help out, and defend her home/right to sleep.
Armagnac was mumbling an agreement, something along the lines of when Sherry heard her name. Oh, her favorite Deathie was right there, and wait. What kind of question was that?! Sure. She was in her pajamas, more or less, but she had her coat. Not her scarf, but, oh lord! Were her scars showing? Sherry looked down. Ok, they might be, but whatever. She was decent. "Clothes," she replied. Pajama clothes.
Armagnac was ever loving. She was also very useful when it came to keeping her hunter on task.
"What's going on?" She directed the question at Jake, even though she was sure he knew just as much as she did. But it never hurt to ask.
Then she tugged at her coat to straighten it and scanned the growing group for anyone that might need assistance while she waited for his reply.

Mark was a real pain in the a**, this much was common knowledge and even Leon was aware of it. The fact that the death assistant was trying to punch the beasts to death made him with to punch the guy to death in turn. But his weapon at the moment was one sleepy chainsaw and the dragon that was yawning in the depths of his mind.
Thank gods it could still work in that state, swinging it into a set of shadows and watching it turn into nothingness.

Before was not normally claustrophobic but having a lot of these shadowlings dog-piling him was beginning to make him uncomfortable. Which leads to Before and Vanna attempting a chest-burster impression on the collective mass.

"It's an eclipse," a voice answered Sherry. In came Stormy with bedhead, no coat, and a drowsy expression - well no, she always had the latter. But she looked remarkably calm at the moment as opposed to her usual squeals of terror. "A land eclipse," she went on to explain, wiping at her eyes. "Orrrr the techs in charge of the shadow run course went on coffee break at the same time. Or, well, it is spring . . ." Who knew how else those shadows multiplied?
Belatedly she stood a bit straighter and greeted them with a small nod of her head. "Nice to see you guys, though," Stormy cooed, regardless of whether the notion was reciprocated. It felt odd that Thane wasn't barking at her to attack like he would be by now . . .
Speaking off, she spied one of the Hunters slamming through the horde like it was nothing, though . . . Ow, that looked like it hurt. Compelled, she gave the "one moment" gesture to Sherry and Jake before gliding over and, in a brief window of chance, tapped the blond death hunter with her sword.
"I have no idea why I did that, buuuuut I hope that helps~?"

Lex gave both of the men an indignant glare coupled with a smile, very nearly flipping them the bird. That wouldn't be in good sport, though, not to mention he'd get an earful from Ami for telling her good friend to go ******** himself.

Ami wasn't in the mood to socialize really. She was already somewhat bleary from sleep, so interactions? Not really requested at the moment. All she wanted was for these things to be dead so she could get back to sleep.
Which meant giving her all in the fight. Heartless were crawling on her body now, considering she wasn't exactly and ridiculously tall tower. A 5'2 wall wasn't that hard to scale, especially not for something with tiny little claws.
"Get off me!" she demanded, stabbing Junpei left across her shoulder and shanking it off of her. She was way too tired for this bullshit.

Ami did as Junpei asked her. It resulted in a domino effect, one of the heartless on the bottom falling and bringing the rest with it. Now that she was effectively shadowling free, she brushed off her jacket and gave a little huff. Well a huff that was more like a huff in between pants because she was rather out of breath about the whole thing. Stupid. Just stupid. It shouldn't have taken so much effort just to defeat one shadowling.
Her eyes darted to her house. There still wasn't anything surrounding the yard. Good. Marcus' stories about destroyed houses had effectively scared her silly into protecting her own like it was her own flesh and blood. < You okay. >
"I'm fine, they're just scratches," she muttered.

Lex was already being coy, nothing cold hide the glint in his eyes that said. "You are lucky i don't have any good ammo right now." at least, not to Leon. The fire in the life trainee's eyes was something he saw much too often in the ring. He was sure he had the same type of aura on a daily basis.
Which made making fun of Lex all the sweeter. "Are you going to put the bandage on my boo boo and kiss it all better?" he teased, clapping the guy on the shoulder and swatting at a pesky shadow nearby that tried to get too close.
In retrospect, that was not the smartest thing to say with marcus and more importantly, his weapon nearby. The ideas it made up was enough to kill the light mood and bringing stoic focus back into his motions and that of one poor before who was buried alive by the bugs/ whatever they were.
"Just hold still, I'll get you out." he assured the archer, smashing the blunt side of the blade against the swarm.

Jake only stared at Sherry, giving her an incredulous look. "You look like you just rolled out of bed." At least I changed.
Her question only earned a shrug. "Hell if I know. Woke up with one of these things in my room."
Another voice speaking up made him turn, and he arched an eyebrow at the mist trainee. "I don't think this is how eclipses work." Though the explanation about Shadow Run breaking down was quite plausible... but to this extent?
He pursed his lips, and was about to strike at more shadowlings, when he noticed a life hunter getting mauled by the shadowlings. Oh geez, these things we a pain in the a**.
Leaving Sherry behind momentarily, he stepped in front of the life hunter with braided blond hair, and another female death hunter, tonfas raised at the creatures. "If you can't handle them, step back."

Robert was mumbling something about how ******** ridiculous this entire mess was when he stormed out into the towns, about done with this whole shadowling mess before he'd even started. The first thing he saw as he arrived was Leon spanking Before as he walked by. He couldn't help but think that perhaps this whole.. open sexuality situation Deus had been set up with was infectious.
Try as he might, Robert was still a pretty close minded individual. He scooted away from the situation and moved forward to look for any injured.
[ Path of the Observant ] Special Bonus: You cannot attack or defend, you can only HEAL. Your heal depends on your regular melee dice. So if you normally attack using 2d6-6, you heal for that amount. You can only heal one target at a time. If you decide not to heal and use a Fear Charge for the turn, you may do so, those behave normally, same with Artifacts, Runics, Learned Abilities, etc. Distortion and Artifacts that normally boost your attack STACK with your Heals (accordingly) - Your HP is normal, but your attack power, after all results is HALVED - Special Effect: Full Heal Your special bonus heals for double (see above on how to "heal") on any ally being protected by a Warrior skill.
"Sorry Leon, I'm not a fan of swollen lips." Lex jested back, still a mite aggravated. Had he been fully rested and not put down to the level of a field medic, this would be a much more jovial conversation. Still, there was always time for a pass at the boxer's former life.
Not that Lex didn't admire Leon's strength, but you had to take what was given to you and use it. Like these bandages.
With Leon going to attack some more shadowlings and hearing Ami say something about being fine (she wasn't), Lex was off to apply some kind of bandaging to his girlfriend.
A blue haired hunter was in front of the petite blonde, guarding her. He'd have to thank him later with something, probably a cake or muffins. For now though, bandaging was to be had.
"Ami, dear, you really need to be a bit more careful." The man chided, quickly wrapping her forearm in the healing ward powered cloth and, very quickly, kissing her 'boo-boo'.
"Regal won't fire, don't ask. Now go kick some butt."
He had to heal other people than just his girlfriend, after all.

Ami stabbed another shadowling through the chest, when a hand caught her wrist. Annoyance struck her face more than worry, surprisingly enough.
Instead she was greeted with Lex and a blue-haired boy she'd never seen before. Ami stubbornly listened to the man only because it was Lex. Anyone else she would've brushed off. What was he doing out here though? Conflicted feelings- part of her was glad he was within earshot, the other part wanted him safe and tucked away somewhere. Then again, it was a minor shadowling threat. He could handle it, and so could she. No need for obtuse worries.
Regal wouldn't fire? Worry panicked her expression- weapons not working was never a good thing, Ami knew that first hand. "Stay safe," she said quietly as he left. Hopefully he wouldn't. She couldn't do with another tragedy. Turning to the blue haired hunter, she said, "I'm fine, really. Go protect some of the other trainees."

Robert was tall and easy to spot. Thus it became Jude's goal to follow the loveable oaf as soon as he spotted him. The young man summoned up his weapon to start hitting the first thing that made him angry.
It happened to be a group of shadowlings so without any regard for his own safety he tore right into them. He felt them clawing at him but he cared very little about that.

This was followed by a variety of curses highly inappropriate (or maybe not) for someone his age as Gale swung his rifle around like a bat, slamming it into the nearest shadowling and imagining it was a certain division assistant's face.
If Gale's house got destroyed (again) he was going to be very, very unhappy.
