A warm smile replaced Gene's frown as the Reaper boil started talking, giggling a little and nodding at his first comment. The poor boil was so pale, the pumpkin sun would do him good. She'd have to plan a beach trip, or something like that.
"You really are the sweetest thing this side of Halloween, Mot." She smiled, "And sure, I'd love them."
They were silent for a while, enjoying each other's company as they walked.
"Mot, what's your favorite game to play? Like, a board game or a video game, or whatever."

Mot blushed, something that was always glaringly obvious on his pale skin. "Aww, you're sweet to say that." Mot chuckled, tickled pink at her compliment. Those chimes would be delivered to her ASAP. Probably with a bow on them.
"Game? Hmm.." Mot hummed in thought, looking up at the sky for answers. "I suppose Shooting games. Surprising, right?" He said with a cheeky grin. "My favorite board game growing up was actually Nagas and Ladders. I tried to get my father to play with me once, but he got fed up with the fact it was solely based on luck." A light shrug and whimsical smile dawned his face. "At least he tried. He usually doesn't take any interest in me at all. But I was a lot more pushy as a kid." He actually laughed a bit. Usually his father was a sore subject, but it just didn't bother him anymore.
"What about you, Gene? Favorite game? Favorite band? ...Ever been to a concert?"

Gene had to give Mot a small giggle at his first answer. Of course the boil liked shooting games! She would have to agree that they could be fun, though the ghost was still wary from the one Hunter woman who had shot her a multitude of times. That memory was one she'd rather not have brought back just by playing a game.
"I don't think I've ever even heard of Nagas and Ladders..." She mused as Mot continued on, talking about being a pushy kid and how his father hadn't like it because it was a strictly luck based game. Gene giggled a little at that - luck games could be pretty infuriating; but they did level the playing field.
Oh? Her favorite game and band... hmmm...
"Well, Danny likes to make be play Casketball with her, and that's pretty fun." You know, when the Demon wasn't 'accidentally' elbowing the barista in the face. "And, uh, I really like this human band. But you've probably never heard of them before..."

"It's fun! I'm pretty sure I still have it at home. Maybe next time I visit Mother I will bring it back with me." The reaper offered, followed by a light chuckle.
Casketball. An actual sport. One reason you never saw Mot doing sports was... he sucked at sports. Mot was rather an indoorsy and bookish sort of guy. Odd, seeing as he dressed like a cowboil and actually knew how to ride a skeletal horse. That was as outdoorsy as Mot O'Boyle got.
The reaper laughed at Gene's hipster reply, giving her a light nudge in jest. "Maybe not. But maybe I'd like to hear of them. I like music."
The Devil's Punch Bowl was now in view. A crater carved by water, a tall and majestic waterfall streaming down into its mouth. The water glittered red like a ruby. The plant life ranged from dead to leafy; the liveliest being the great willow tree that sat at the bowl's highest peak.

"You should definitely bring it back! It'd be fun, I think." Gene urged, bright smile warming her face as she dug around her bag for something. Ah, yes, there it was! She pulled out a CD she'd burned, containing music from a relatively up and coming band known as "The Oh Hellos." "And you can listen to this on the train ride over - they're really good, trust me." She nudged him back, handing him the disk.
Once the punchbowl came into sight, Gene let out a little gasp. It was gorgeous! Her eyes lit up a little and she squeezed Mot's hand, entirely excited way more than she already had been. "Mot! It's wonderful!"

Mot grinned, taking the CD and giving it a look over. "Ah, thank you! I look forward to that train ride now." Smiling, he set the CD inside one of his pouches for safe keeping.
"Isn't it? The perfect place for a picnic date." When they finally got to their spot under the willow, Mot set down the satchel he'd been carrying. Piece by piece, he set out their lunch. A large thermos, followed by two mugs. Two neatly wrapped sandwiches, a paper bag with jerky, and a tray with a delightful assortment of fruit cut up artistically into fun shapes.
"I am no cook, but making things that involve no cooking at all was relatively easy. I spent the better part of an afternoon looking for such meals in the interweb."

"Mmm, it's perfect. Really just gorgeous." She cooed, seating herself cross legged as Mot set out a tasty looking lunch. SHe'd actually never had jerky before, but her boilfriend sure seemed to love the stuff. She'd give it a try, just for him.
Piquing a brow at where he found this stuff, she gave a little giggle as she reached out for a pretty looking crab apple. "The interweb, hm? Have I gotten you into Stabinterest?" She teased, nudging him lightly with her free hand, using the other to bite into the little green fruit shaped like an actual crab. What a creative boil she had.

Mot smiled bashfully, lightly shrugging his shoulders. "Perhaps you did~." He chuckled, taking up a piece of jerky for himself.
"It's getting close to a point nowadays where I really need to think about Graduation. I'd like to really appreciate a day like today where I don't have to worry about such responsibilities."

Oh, right; Mot was graduating soon. He'd been a Hob for a while now, hadn't he? The Doppelganger had just recently moved on herself, thanks to Mr. Avery and his amazing timing. She gave a little hum, cuddling into Mot a little closer. "I see..."
Could she do anything to put his mind at ease? Well, he did say that just taking the day off for this picnic was for that reason... but surely she could do something else? "Well, there's no reason to be too concerned, hon. You're going to be great."

Mot took comfort in the close proximity he had to the ghost, keeping a free arm wrapped around her shoulders. "You think so?" He chuckled and smiled warmly.
"Taking risks isn't something I usually do anymore. But I'll never get anywhere if I don't take them, right? You and Xiu opening a restaurant is something to be admired. I'm amazed at the passion you both have for it." That too was a risk. Putting their dreams into a reality. Mot believed with all his heart it would succeed.
"And if my dreams do not take flight, maybe I can mooch my way into helping out at the cafe, since my culinary skills today proved so successful. I know a ghoul or two who work there~" He added with a sassy tone.

"Mmm...risks are a part of unlife - and even life I guess." She mused, putting a hand on his knee with a smile. She supposed that yes, they could be admired for putting their dream into action - but the ghost felt like both she and the Baku were just doing the only thing they could see themselves doing. "And I'm not sure about those two letting you work...might cause some issues." She teased back, squeezing his kneecap.
A blissful sigh as she poured a bit of coffee from the thermos. "Have you found a place to stay yet? Or is there an Academy that Boogeymen go to?"

"Ahhh... A place to stay.. Gee I don't even know if the Boogeys have an academy of their own." Mot was a bit ashamed of himself now. Why did these things never occur to him to find out?
But on the other hand, this was a whole other thing to be excited about.
"I had best be seriously looking into that." He chuckled, "And I need to calculate how much money I will be receiving and if it is feasible to have an apartment..." He drifted into thought, soon shaking his head. "I have been much too laid back, it seems. I think in the back of my mind I always assumed these answers would appear from thin air after graduating." The reaper admitted with a sheepish smile.
"When I move on out into the world, I do hope I'll get chances to visit you."

A sip of coffee, and a little nudge from the elbow. "Well, Mot, it doesn't hurt to ask Red? I know she's a little... volatile? But, she is, or at least was, a Boogey. As for housing..." She gave a little hum, putting a finger to her lips. "I dunno! It'll work itself out though." She gave him a little kiss on the cheek, giggling.
"And you'd better visit me!" Again with the teasing sass, but Mot could tell that there was sincerity behind it.

The reaper went slightly pink from the kiss on the cheek, his smile widening despite himself. He couldn't help the urge to give her a kiss bak, tilting his head to press a quick kiss to her cheek in return."Red, huh? I should look for her in the near future. Having her back is an advantage." He knew of one other Boogeyman, but he rarely saw him around.
Mot raised a free hand in the air as if under attack, a light chuckle coming from the smiling reaper. "Of course, of course! I can't imagine not visiting from time to time." Still, the distance would be felt. "But for now, I'll take advantage of how close by you are. A few coffee dates here and there."

"Good." She stated, nuzzling a little further into Mot as she took in the scenery. She would miss days like these, she mused, so why not treasure them now? Make them last as long as she could, him and her in the midst of beautiful scenery. The days were fleeting, unfortunately.
A little sigh escaped from her lips as she flicked a wayward piece of hair from her face. "I'll be sad when your class graduates, Mot. I'll be losing you, Danny, Xiu, Bella, Mort..." She sighed again, sipping the coffee. "I should have made friends with my class, and the people below me, too. It's gonna suck without you guys."
