The mermaid blinked as Hel's face redden, immediately earning a flush from the mermaid because OBVIOUSLY IT WAS EMBARASSING.
It'd be funny to see two ghouls walking hand in hand and blushing at each other.
the mermaid jumped as Hel snapped and made a small 'o' with her mouth before looking down. Mac, she had just seen the reaper not too long ago and had learned that he had broken up with Lizzy, though never why. It seemed to the mermaid that perhaps Hel might be a big factor but...
She was never drawn into the drama of relationships and instead squeezed Hel's hand supportively.
"Mac does need good friends, ones who love him. Obviously you do both very much." Amphi moved back to her original space, not letting the valkyries hand go but still..."I think its very nice of you to wait to graduate. And very sweet to wait until you and Mac can together." Even if their relationship wasn't defined to the mermaid, friendship was important. VERY MUCH SO and she brought Hel's hand up to her cheek, rubbing it a little with her cheek.
"Oh we're almost to the lake..." The mermaid actually gleameeeeeeed as she saw it.

Hel couldn’t help but grimace at that. Friends who loved him. Yeeeeeeeeep. Love alright. ******** love. What a stupid thing. She honestly still wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to wait for him or not…so she was keen to let go of the subject. Instead she just squeezed Amphi’s hand, and managed a smile when she felt the mermaid’s cool cheek against her hand. A grin came to her lips now as the light reflecting off the surface of the lake came into sight, and the ghoul picked up the pace, pulling Amphi along with her until they arrived at the shore. She released the ghoul’s hand then…just so that she could start stripping down her layers.

When no more discussion of the Mac came up, Amphi just hummed before squeaking at the tug towards the water. At first she had to hold back jumping in, in fear of ruining her clothes. But as Hel stripped, her face reddened for a whole nother reason.
She had never really been with another girl stripping, and even then...swimsuits were the least amount of clothes she had seen on her friends. Her head swiveled back and forth to make sure no one was watching the two before removing her own layers down to her bikini attire underneath.
She gave a curious look at Hel though, comparing bodies. Because Amphi had no one really to compare too. Both of the ghouls were well endowed in the chest area, and Amphi wondered if maybe Hel's were a bit bigger then hers? Hel also had little more curvage to her hips and waist. Something the mermaid lacked in her short stature was curves.
She was so busy staring at Hel that she didn't realize she was staring at Hel.

Hel didn’t notice the staring right now, because she as focused on getting her clothes folded and off, and wore more than Amphi did. She had decided to go for the red string bikini she had gotten to troll Mot with…should use it for more than trolling, she supposed. After her clothes were neatly folded, she placed them on a nearby rock, and only then did she turn to face the ghoul.
“…Uh…” She waved a hand in her face. “Is something the matter, Screecheart?”

Amphi blinked....
and then blinked again and her face exploded in redness as Hel got her attention again. She fumbled with her words because she had just been caught staring at Hel and looked down shyly.
"no! I mean yes...No wait I mean no! Nothing is the matter! Oh jack..." The mermaid looked back up Hel again and then away, "It's just...I was admiring your figure! I don't ever see ghouls uh....in their...uh...well....uh...." Wow she was sounding like some perverted boil who got his hands on a screaming porno mag or something. She took a breath and looked at Hel one more time.
"I just don't have friends that are usually so well....um...beautiful. I mean Lizzy and Xiu are gorgeous! but they are smaller! And Danny and Belladonna are too but they don't ever really come swimming with me and I was just comparing your curves to mine and how yours fill you out so perfectly and I am just kind of like..." She drew straight with her hands. "You have such a pretty figure...." The mermaid whispered, oh jack she was embarassing herself.

Hel stared at Amphi, her brows furrowing as the ghoul was rambling and stumbling…and…oh! Once it became clear, Hel laughed, cheerfully. “Oh well, I am flattered, friend! Truly. I appreciate your kind words.” It was rather conceited, but Hel knew she had a rockin’ body…but it still made her happy to hear others tell her that.
The ghoul came closer to Amphi then though, and cupped the mermaid’s face. She leaned in, and pressed her forehead against hers, her eyes lidding as she smiled. “But do not be so down on yourself. You are very beautiful, and I am sure one day you will be driving someone mad with this.” Her hands slid down from her face, and down her neck, and her shoulders…and then grasped her waist, and squeezed. “Ya. I am pretty certain you will.” She released the ghoul then with a laugh, and spun on her heel, wading into the water.

And then Hel was really closeeeeeeeee to Amphi's face and that made the mermaid even REDDER then the red she was before as she held her breath. She squirmed a little at the roaming hands of Hel and then let out a breath when the ghoul stepped away towards the water.
She mirrored the hands on hips, held them out, looked at the small space of them before sighing. She just bit her lip and followed after the valkyrie. Soon as water hit her legs though, her body shimmered and faded. Instead of humanoid body, her mermaid form had taken over. As always, she dived underneath to finish the transformation and swum a little bit past Hel. The only thing the ghoul would see is bright blue and purple scales reflecting from the halloween sun on the lake before the mermaid surfaced farther out.
All talk of body disappeared as Amphi swam closer to Hel. "How far do you want to go out Hel?"

As Hel waded further and further into the water, she looked down as the shimmering mermaid blew past her, and her lips quirked upwards. She’d never seen Amphi in her natural form before…so it was rather interesting. She looked up ahead as she surfaced, and it was at that point now that Hel started to swim, since she could no longer keep her tip toes on the lake bottom. “As far as we can.” She stated…though in reality that wasn’t likely, as Hel was not a strong swimmer…not that she’d tell. She was stubborn like that.

Aw s**t. If Hel had a shred of common sense she’d say no to this whole race thing. The odds were too heavily stacked against her! She sucked at swimming, much less fast and for a long distance…not to mention Amphi was a <******** mermaid. She would probably be torpedoing through the water! But this was Hel, and Hel never said no to a challenge. “Jack yeah!” She cried, and immediately started to going into full on arm strokes to pull herself through the water faster. “To that rock straight ahead of us!”

Amphi had been circling under hel for a little and assessed the swimming skills of the reaper at...Medium. But under competition, swimming could always change. It got the heart pumping, blood flowing! It was EXCITING!
"Okay!" Amphi brushed against Hel in the water before darting past her....Ah, Hel was so cute! Well quick too, she had been right to challenge the Valkyrie because regardless of the odds stacked against her, Hel didn't back down. At all!
"Almost there Hel~" The mermaid teased as she slowed her pace and started to float on her back, waving to the reaper.
Certainly a side of Amphi no one ever saw....

Oh, Amphi was kinda gutsy right now, huh? Hel snorted, amused as Amphi brushed against her and then took off. Hel, to her credit, tried her hardest, and could make impressive speed in a short spurt…but she was no strong swimmer like Mac, and especially not like Amphi. The fact that the mermaid had the balls to taunt her too… B | “You better hope I do not get my hands on you, Amphi~” Hel sang, a bit ominously.

Amphi giggled as she pushed a little further away from Hel, Just in case the Valkyrie suddenly shot through the water to grab her. The rock was severely closer now and Amphi wondered if she should take pity on her friend.
Nah.
"But you have to catch me first Hel~" Amphi sang back, they were in water....Pretty sure she had the advantage here Hel, Ol'chap.

Yeah…she so wasn’t going to get to that rock first. “You can run, you can hide, you can swim, but you will get tired, little mermaid~” She continued to sing ominously. “And I am tenacious. I do not know when to quit, or how.” She grinned then. “I will catch you through sheer will.”
