"I'm... not that defenseless." Amaranth commented. She could sorta understand the concern, but she found it a little awkward sometimes. At least when it came from others, at any rate. "Thanks, though..."
"Oh, someone else showed up. Um... we're here to look for anything out of the ordinary. The place is in disrepair, as you can see, so be careful."
Almost as soon as Cera said that, though, the group would hear the cries of more than a few Pokemon. From deeper in was a buzzing sound too, and it wasn't too long before all of it became clear. That deeper area revealed several electric Pokemon, namely the likes of Voltorb and Magnemite. As for the closer cries? Those would be the locals; small packs of Sandshrew and older Sandslash, a few Rattata from other parts. Suffice to say, the lab wasn't completely uninhabited, what with the territorial Pokemon now advancing towards everyone in an effort to defend their home.
"...Or... yanno, don't." Cera said before she ascended, keeping on the defensive. The joys of being a lot closer to the action, but at least she could fight if need be.
(Feel free to catch one of these Pokemon if you want. You'll be in for a small fight regardless.)

Eliel glanced over at Amaranth as the pokemon showed up "Defenceless or not you still need a little help against all of those pokemon you know." He grinned as snivy hopped off his shoulder, ready for a fight. Eliel glanced at the pokemon coming less confidently then his snivy. "Don't think we'll do any good against the eletric types, seeing as their steel too."

At Cera's explanation, Arthur simply nodded before watching everyone depart. He had to run to keep up with everyone and thus was exhausted by the time they got to the lab. Collapsing on the outside, he, along with both Lava and Squirrel took a moment to catch his breath. When he was finally ready again, he came inside to see the multiple Pokemon and nobody seeming to mind them really. Scanning each one of them over his his Snag, Arthur felt the urge to catch one of them. Considering he only had TWO pokemon, this wasn't such a bad thing. "I think I'll catch one if that's o.k. with you guys," Arthur said. Looking at Lava, he saw that he was hiding from everyone. Squirrel was just as afraid, but he bravely came out anyway.

Reno stared at the collection of Snadshrew and Sandslashes approaching them with a small smirk crossing his face. Unclasping twin Pokeballs, Reno simply muttered, "Hydro Pump. Brine." A Kingler with the unique green coloring and a regularly colored, but more rugged looking Cloyster appeared simultaneously, the two firing away with their water attacks with enough force to create a miniature tidal wave to dispel the Ground Types while also doing their best to keep out of the range of the Electric types.

"I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!" Alex frowned, appearing outside the pokemon center. Perhaps if she hadn't pulled that last stunt with Claydol it would have been quick about getting her here. The team had already left but she knew she could still catch up, drawing a pokeball. "Go Lillipup!" Tossing the pokeball, the tiny puppy would emerge excitedly. "Let's use Odor Sleuth and track down the team!" she asked. With its nose aglow, it would point in which direction like a pointer dog. Pulling out her hoverboard, Alex would set the puppy on it before taking off.
Once she caught up, Alex would thank her Lillipup and approach the rundown building. Hearing commotion inside, she charged in to see everyone in the midst of battle. A loud audible gasp came from the girl as she saw the steel/electric pokemon. "A Magnemite? A Magnemite?! Ohhh!" she beamed. "Lillipup, Fire Fang!" The canine lunged forward, sinking burning hot fangs into the magnet. It retaliated with a Thundershock that shook the pup off. Magnemite proceeded to use Lock-On while Lillipup was recovering from the last attack. "Well...I guess biting it isn't the best idea. Use Tackle then!" The puppy charged at it only to be stopped dead in his tracks by a Zap Cannon. Before he could stand, Magnet Bomb rained down on the canine and knocked it out. "Wh-What?! How...? It's so strong... Now I definitely have to have it!" she declared. After thanking Lillipup, she returned him and sent out Z, her Porygon. "Let's go! Signal Beam!" The digital pokemon fired the blast, knocking the steel type back a bit. With a Gyro Ball, it wrapped the beam around it and collided into Porygon. "Man, it's smart too!...But I gotta weaken it more first. Psybeam this time!" Alex instructed. After the psychic blast hit, Magnemite came out confused which let it open to a follow up Discharge attack. "Ok, now!" Alex shouted, tossing an empty pokeball at the magnet. After three, very long and painful shakes of resistance, the ball came to a rest. "Ah...I did it...I caught my first pokemon!...Through battle!" she cheered happily, picking the pokeball up. This marked the third pokemon for her team.

Lykas released Palaeo when the wild Pokemon appeared. His typing made him an ideal choice for this instance and the Palpitoad could tell it when he made his appearance. "Toad!" He croaked out before firing a Mud Bomb at an approaching Magnemite. It was dispatched with ease, though it was quickly replaced by two more as well as a Voltorb.
"Palaeo, use your Mud Bomb again." Lykas instructed, staying calm as he kept an eye on the others. A couple of rookies who might need help, Amaranth(who had Cera watching her back as well) and Reno. Wait, Reno?! Where ddi he come from?
Regardless, he turned his focus back to the Pokemon attacking Palaeo just as the Palpitoad's Mud Bomb went off, blasting one of the Magnemite with a small explosion of mud and slime. The three Electric-types were in no mood to toy around and the trio released a Sonicboom each. Palaeo managed to evade one of them, countering the attacker(the same Magnemite that he'd just hit) with a Mud Shot. The Magnemite went down this time.
The other two managed to hit him with their attacks, leaving him to stagger for a moment, somewhat winded by the twin attacks. He recovered quickly enough, however and, at Lykas' call, used his Supersonic to inflict confusion upon his foes' minds. It worked on Magnemite, though Voltorb's Soundproof ability protected it from the affliction. The Electric-type began to spin rapidly before hurling itself at Palaeo with Rollout. "Hydro Pump! Push it back!" Lykas called to his Pokemon, who responded by releasing a massive surge of water from his mouth at Voltorb, hitting it hard and throwing it off course but not stopping it. "Mud Bomb!" Rather than just attacking outright, Palaeo watched Voltorb's path for a moment and fired his attack right in it's path. Voltorb never saw it coming.
The confused Magnemite was flying around in circles, trying to figure out what it was supposed to be doing and, after a moment, it fired a Mirror Shot at random. Somehow, it managed to hit Palaeo, who was celebrating his victory over Voltorb and forgot it still had one enemy left. "Mud Shot, Palaeo." The dual-type nodded and finished off it's foe with ease. The single Mud Shot hit the circling Magnemite with ease, knocking it out of it's orbit and causing it to run into a wall when it began circling in a new location. The crash was enough to knock it out, sadly.
"Great job, Palaeo. Palaeo?" Lykas was stopped as his Palpitoad began to glow, his form changing as the Water-type evolved for the last time after quite some time in his second stage.
"Seismitoad!" Palaeo bellowed as the light faded, looking to his new hands and turning them over a few times. "Toad toad! Seismitoad!"
"I see you have arms now. Great job, again. You're finally a fully evolved Pokemon!" Lykas cheered as he gave the Pokemon a hug. "Congratulations." The duo turned their focus back to the others now that there were now longer wild Pokemon staring them down as if they were insane lunch specials.

Wesleyf (Confusion o.o I thought there was gonna be a roll system here.) (Just sent you a PM about that, actually. Anyway, if you still want to get a fight in, you can.) "If anything, you're- eep!" Cera quickly moved out of the way, avoiding a Magnemite that decided to go after her. She soon sent a small Aura Sphere to gun it down. "...right on time..."A number of the Pokemon started back as the fights unfolded. For some, they didn't exactly want to fight. For others, they didn't want to risk what just happened and hoped they'd just be left alone. One of them, however, was bold enough to stare Eliel down and see what he'd do.

Eliel grins, waving at it playfully "Hi there." He raises an eyebrow, tilting his head. "Hey, I'm not the one you should be watching you know." He says as Snivy hits the sandshrew in the side with tackle.
It goes tumbling across the floor before it regains its feet and runs forward and tries to tackle snivy. Snivy jumps over his head and turns, using Leer just as the Sandshrew turns around. Its defence lowers and it rushes at snivy who meets it mid air with a tackle of her own. They both fall back, skidding. Snivy rubs her head before rushing forward again, hitting the dazed sandshrew directly in the stomach. It rolls a bit before stopping on its stomach. Snivy turns obviously feeling this is over and walking back towards Eliel as Sandshrew gets up and tackles her in the back. She leers again, and side steps the Sandshrew as it tries to tackle her and hits it from behind, making it faint this time.
Eliel grins. "I would like to point out to anyone who cares, I did not half to say a single command that entire fight." He smiles, petting Snivy's head when she comes back. He then walks to the Sandshrew, helping it up and patting on it's back, sending it on it's way back to the group "Now get going."

It seemed like everyone else had the same idea as Arthur. All around him Pokemon were being pushed back, chased away, or captured. He had to act fast or there wouldn't be any Pokemon left for him to catch. "Squirrel, get rea-" He cut off as something hard suddenly knocked him over. It felt like he'd just ran into a rock...if it were three times as hard. Falling on his back, he rubbed his forehead and looked at what had hit him. It was a Magnemite, floating around and not even noticing the trainer on the ground. "Well it looks like we've found someone," he thought to himself.
"Don't think you can just knock me over and get away with it," Arthur said to the Magnemite. Finally noticing him, the Pokemon simply said "Magnemite" before floating away. Sitting up, Arthur decided that he'd make the first move. "Squirrel use scratch." The timid little Sentret hesitated before launching at the magnet and slashing at it.
Reeling from the attack, Magnemite turned to release a sudden Thunder Wave that froze Squirrel before he even landed. He was paralyzed, flinching at the static still covering him. "Fight through it Squirrel," Arthur said. "Try to use scratch again, I think he's getting weaker." Closing one eye from the paralysis, Squirrel tried but couldn't bring himself to even move his tail. He was completely immobilized.
"Shouldn't have sent him in a battle like this," Arthur thought. "He's a normal type so he can only use physical attacks. Every time he gets close, though, is another time Magnemite could hit him with electricity. This is an opponent that only Lava can beat." Looking to the Cyndaquil, he saw that he looked even more frightened then before. Even if he did send him into battle, he'd just stand there because he wouldn't be able to flare up. If Lava was gonna fight, Arthur had to get him angry somehow...or really scarred.
"Scared," he repeated in his mind. Reaching down, he'd suddenly scoop up his partner and, without warning, threw him at Magnemite. "Sorry Lava," he apologized in his mind. "It's the only way I could think of." As he flew towards Magnemite, Lava suddenly felt a rush of adrenaline, making his back quickly flare up. However, something else happened. The flames began to surround Lava.
"I know that move," Arthur said in surprise. "He's using Flame Wheel." Slamming into Magnemite before it could move, Lava fell backwards in surprise. The Magnemite, on the otherhand, was sent spiraling into a wall. Seeing that it was weak, Arthur threw a Pokeball for the capture. While the pokemon shook around inside, Arthur went over to apologize to Lava. "I didn't know that would happen. I just wanted to scare you enough to flare up. I just wanted you to help Squirrel and knew you went do it without some incentive." Speaking of which, Arthur looked to see that the Sentret was up and moving again.
"But now that I know you can do something like that," Arthur continued, "it just makes me want to make you even stronger. I don't want to have to get you scarred or angry whenever I want you to fight. It's time I actually helped you self activate your flames."

Lykas, noticing the problem Arthur was having with his Cyndaquil, walked over to the boy. "Come see me after we get back to HQ. I think I can help you teach your Cyndaquil how to use it's fire at will." He told the boy with a grin. "I have a Quilava that loves to battle, myself, and I'm sure he'd be glad to help your Cyndaquil train itself."

Luckily for Amaranth, she had her own ways of getting Pokemon to stay away from her. It involved her Yanma and a lot of buzzing. Between that and the efforts of everyone else, the remaining Pokemon backed off to retreat. Aside from any that were caught, of course.
"That explains the nearby chi..." Cera commented. "And... the new one? I dunno your name, sorry. Anyway, while it's good your Snivy can fight on its own, it's better when the trainer can give it commands when needed. A Pokemon and its trainer can only do so much on their own, after all." Granted, she might've been one to talk.
But right now, her focus kept going back to this more distant chi. "But if the closer chi was from the Pokemon here... what's this denser stuff further in? Everyone, go further in; I'll follow. Whatever's in here, if there's anything, I dun think we've found it."

"Am I the only getting a small vibe of there is going to be more people who want ta kill us?" Reno muttered, following behind them with a small quirk of his eyebrow. He returned his fire brigade of Pokemon to their balls before wandering along with nearly no idea what he was up to.

Hearing Cera's comments, Lykas would follow her suggestion, heading deeper into the lab. He could somewhat sense......a sort of pressure coming from inside. That was all he could make out, though. The hybrid told himself quietly that he still needed to work on his chi abilities.
"She's right, you know." He voiced to Eliel. "Your Pokemon relies on you to direct it when the battles become difficult. This time it was easy. It had the advantage against it's foe, for the most part. But what would it, or you for that matter, have done if that Sandshrew had used it's Poison Sting on it?" He questioned as he glanced back at the boy. "Don't flaunt that your Pokemon can battle without you. Be proud that it trusts you to step in when it needs you enough to battle on it's own but be humble about it." He told the boy. "I learned that mistake a while back. One of my Pokemon is still incapable of battle and may never battle again because I failed her as a trainer." He warned, looking down to Sphynx's Pokeball, which he now carried everywhere he went as a reminder of that failure.

Eliel sighed, frowning as he scratched the back of his head "Well, So much for that. That joke turned into a whole torrent of ' Shut up and listen to how wrong you are.' It's all that is a joke." Eliel pulls two cards out of his pocket. A Red Queen and a Black queen. "Red is Tackle, Black is leer." He rolls his eyes. "We worked this out a while ago, so no one but the people we taught our system to could know what move we were using until it hit them or we were using it. Caaaalmm down." Snivy swipes his leg with her tail, Glaring up at him. ".... And appearently I just let that secret spill."
