********* let out a light, airy laugh. "Oh, heaven forbid me being an angel, Machholz! No... just a cat... though sometimes the term 'guardian cat' is used to talk about cats like myself." It was a hint that there were indeed other talking cats like herself out there.
The new senshi's question was simple, but had plenty of answers she could give. "Honestly... I'd keep an eye out for any suspicious activity from the Negaverse. They have been known to unleash monsters called youma upon the masses. If you notice anything... you should change, as you did just now, into Sailor Machholz."
She paused for a moment, wondering how to phrase the next part. When she was able to figure it out, she then added "You will be able to fight off the threat as a senshi. Just be careful and don't let others see you transform. 'Secret identity' rules and all..."

Oh great, secrets! Just what she needed in her life. Oh, well, come summer she won't have to be around high schoolers anymore. No, she was going to graduate this May. Still, fighting things, youmas? It didn't sound easy. Biting down on her lip, she looked to ********* and squinted dubiously at her. "Well.. Is there like, a training camp or something for new people like myself?" Serenity couldn't imagine it just naturally happening, her knowing how to fight youma without any sort of training. Even magically, it sounded unlikely.
"Oh, better yet, do I get my own personal mentor who'll teach me the ropes?" She was grinning now, as if being a bit silly with it all.

Despite the squinting, it seemed the cat was completely unrattled by the gesture. Perhaps even oblivious to the doubt. "I do believe some senshi out there are completely invested in doing such activities as you mentioned. However, Machholz, it isn't a program that is happening at all times. I could do some poking around and send you a message on your new phone if you'd like." She was already making note to do the mentioned research, even if the girl declined her offer.
With a mild tilt to her head, she added "However, many of the things a senshi learns somewhat comes from 'learning on the job'... I can only help you so much... but I will do what I can!"

Excellent, a hands on learning kind of thing. She let out a shaky laugh and nodded. "Thanks, but don't go out of your way." Of course it wasn't every day a Senshi got picked, or something, right? She put her gloved hand to her eye and nodded. "Right. Of course. So this is where I go off and have my first lesson or something and we meet up again like, later?"
Clearly she watches too much anime.

It was odd that this girl seemed to be so okay with this whole ordeal. With a tilt of the head, the feline jokingly commented "...if it weren't for the fact I know the answer to this, I'd ask if you had done this before! You know, the whole Senshi thing..."
She semi-bobbed her head up and down, but then paused before actually mentioning something contradictory to the movement.
"Actually... I can do the first lesson right now... because otherwise you might encounter some issues later on."
She backed away and did a couple circles before she settled down again and resumed.
"Lesson 1... how to change back to your usual self!" Perhaps it wasn't a very exciting lesson, but it was a good place to start.
"What good is having 'secret identity' rules if you can't switch between the two, right?" With a laugh, she simply explained the procedure.
"It's pretty simple. Just think of your normal self. Like close your eyes, clear your mind and think of who you were before you used your henshin pen. Usually you will switch back... no hassle!"

"...No, but... I figured if there are others that one of them has a heart and will teach me things when you can't be there?" She gave a nervous little chuckle and just wrinkled her nose. Her stomach was going to empty itself her first battle, she had a feeling. Swallowing at the thought, she just watched the cat bob her head and then arched a brow when she paused so suddenly.
Oh! Shed been wondering about that. Arching a brow as ********* explained how to get back to her normal form, Serenity took a deep breath and did as she instructed.
She thought of her outfit before she got the pen and felt herself relaxing. When she opened her eyes, she was back to her normal, adorable self, ice skates included. Wonderful! Grinning a little more, she looked down at the cat once more, crouching down to reach out to scratch ********* head.
"So.. I'll end up seeing you again, right?"

The round animal easily enough leaned up so that her head would touch the girl's fingers as they scratched and adored behind her ears. A gentle purring sound escaped *********, showing that despite her intelligence, she still had some baser animal instincts as well.
"I will be honest... I do actually wander around the city a lot... it keeps me pretty busy. I will see what I can do though... hmmm..."
She paused before realizing something.
"...I don't believe I learned what I should be calling you when you are like this." With that she stood up and then leaned down her upper body to give a small sort of performer's bow (adjusted for her feline body).
"My name is *********! And I apologize for my terrible manners! Coming in, giving you things to transform, and not even giving my name!" A small laugh. "I am just terrible!"

Serenity couldn't help the giggle that come from her as she continued to scratch *********. Honestly, if her mother would have allowed it, she would have gotten her own cat. Not a talking one, mind you, but still!
Drawing her hand back when she started talking, Serenity laughed at the bow and just gave her a wink. "*********, I'm Serenity Kinderman. Most call me Serenity, and a few call me Ren." She didn't particularly care for the nickname Ren, but she wouldn't out right tell someone to stop calling her that, unless she didn't like them. So far, though, no one fit that description. She found people to be nice and accommodating to her. "I wouldn't know about terrible, but..." She grinned down at the feline before shrugging and standing up again.
"Well, *********, it's been an.. interesting meeting, certainly."

"Serenity?"
Unknown to the girl, that name in itself had quite a significant meaning. However, that was a lesson for another time. As much as this new senshi needed to be confused by the fact the Moon Princess shared the same name as her, it could wait.
With a smile, she complimented "It's a lovely name!"
Once more, the feline gave a small bow. "It has indeed been interesting, Serenity! I am sure I will see you again!"
With that, the feline hopped off and then began to trot off. She still had places to go, and people to see. There was no rest for the responsible!
