Heh. "You are pretty simple, aren't you?" It wasn't something Riyo meant as an insult this time, shoving her hands in her pockets and looking forwards. "But I guess when you spend more time as a cat, clothes are pretty trivial anyways." She felt like the opposite of him. Riyo spent most of her days walking upright. Bipedal. Only resorting to her cat form when she needed to sneak around or fit into small places. This was how she had been raised. It felt right.
"And I bet you'd look silly in a suit." The cat ghoul gestured to one of the suits in the window before she started to walk again, slowly heading towards the destination with a fabricated and unnecessary goal.

Akubi shrugged, "I suppose I am fairly simple. It wasn't as if Auntie played dressups with me often at all. She had other things to do," he said simply. His ear flicked as he stared at the suits she gestured to and suddenly he was changing course.
"Only one way to find out, nyahahaha," he cackled as he marched right into the establishment, much to the bewilderment of the shopkeeper who was currently staring at the pages of the latest fashion magazine.
Truly Akubi was a free spirit.

"Yeah, well..." Riyo began and trailed off. She could say the same thing about her own mother. She had other things to do. Many other things.
"Wait, what?" Her feet halted and her head turned, though by the time she had looked back the door had already been swung open and the cat boil was no longer standing where the demoness had left him.
Seriously?
Ugh. Well. It was something to do, at least. This gave her every opportunity to point and laugh at him if he came out looking like a stooge.
Turning on her heel, the ghoul trailed behind Akubi, attempting to appear casual and uninterested... Even if her eyes did glance away towards the clothes every few seconds or so.
"I bet you don't even know what size you wear." Riyo called, approaching one of the clothing stands to eyeball some of the premade garb.
Hm. Choices. What color suit? What about the tie? Style? Long collar or short collar? Hat or no hat? So many glorious options.
She held up a suit at eye level, looking between him and the clothing to try and gauge what would fit him.

The revelation that clothes had sizes was a bit like telling him that Humans were made of tasty, tasty mackerels in a giant skin suit. He stared at her and pretty much said, "Clothes have sizes?"
He was smart on some things but not this.
He meandered closer to her unaware why she was holding things up toward him. Akubi figured it was just the thing to do and thus he picked up a suit coat and ... Did the exact same thing at her, mirroring her expression and all.

And Riyo just stared back, bewildered at how he couldn't realize such a simple thing. "Uh. Well yeah. I mean, you're not gonna fit into the same clothes as me. Your body is shaped differently. Men tend to have thicker frames... Along with other differences." You know. They didn't have boobs. Not that she would actually say that.
When Akubi started picking things up and mimicking her, Riyo's eyebrows creased in confusion. "... What're you doing?" She retracted the article of clothing. "Are you copying me or something?"

"..Makes sense, yes." Akubi nodded sagely as his ears pointed straight toward her, it signaled that she had his attention.
Her confusion made him pause, "This is not natural to do when clothes 'sizing'?" Akubi asked curiously with a raised eyebrow. She was the one doing it, so of course that meant he had to do it as well, right?

Riyo's expression became flat when she realized what the disconnection was.
"Okay, look. I'm going to teach you about clothes today." She reached out to take the suit he had for the purposes of hanging it back up. "I'm doing this to see if this particular size looks close to your proportions. You don't have to mime it back at me."
Hanging up the one she had, Riyo grabbed one that looked a few sizes bigger and handed it to him."There's a little tag on the inside that tells you how big it is, denoted by numbers." To prove her point, she hooked the tag with her finger. "There are fitting rooms where you can try this on back there." The ghoul gestured towards the sign that said 'fitting rooms', figuring he wouldn't need any help putting on clothes. He was a big boil. He could put his own pants on. Right?

Akubi just grinned at Riyo as she explained everything to him. There was nothing 'knowing' about it but he did seemed pleased that she was bothering to tell him how things worked. His ears flicked as he took on the suit she handed him and directed him to the fitting rooms.
"Alright then." He announced and marched his way on into an empty one.
The shopkeeper seemed amused.
The demon cat-boil, luckily, could manage to put on pants and shirt with no help needed. Except when he came back out the buttons on his dress shirt were misaligned and made the top look crooked. He also apparently got frustrated with the necktie and decided to wear it as a bandana. Classy.
"Done!"

As far as Riyo was concerned, the shop keeper could kiss her a**. She didn't acknowledge any glances her way, she simply continued shopping on her own until the boil hopped out of the dressing rooms...
... Looking disheveled as hell. In a suit. She supposed that took talent.
The ghoul let out a long exasperated sigh before she marched up to him and started unbuttoning the shirt. "You buttoned it wrong." A soft scolding, if one could even consider it that. It seemed that Riyo wasn't really processing what she was doing. This was just a minor problem that needed fixing. The thought hadn't occurred to her that she was technically undressing and redressing him.

Akubi let Riyo fuss at the clothing with relative calmness. He took the scolding as well, "I am not used to buttons. As you may or may not have noticed my clothes lack them," there was a small pause and then stared down at her hands as she corrected the buttons. "For buttoning on my own I did pretty good."
Indeed he was only one or two off. It could have been much worse.
There was a small thoughtful sound as he looked up at her face and squinted eyes at her a little, "Do I make you feel comfortable?"

"I imagine you're not used to many forms of clothing." The ghoul commented, seeing as he wore about the same thing every day.
When she finished with his buttons, Riyo began straightening his collar. "Whatever helps you sleep at night." Not that she could remember the first time she had to button her own clothes. It was probably a very similar attempt.
Though, Akubi's question caused the demoness to pause, brows furrowing. "... Comfortable? What kind of question is that?" Her hands snatched the necktie, going through the motions of properly knotting it without much thought. "I wouldn't consider myself particularly comfortable with anyone. What makes you think you're so special?"

"You'd be right about that," Akubi answered.
At her dismissive tone he tilted his head, "Lots of things help me sleep at night. Usually nice warm beds. With comfortable blankets."
Mmm blankets and beds.
There were a handful of thoughts going through Akubi's mind, mostly the fact that she was fixing a tie around his neck. He'd carefully moved his noose so she wouldn't bump it. One of the few times where Akubi was suddenly being careful with his words, "You're standing very close to me. Without backing away. Pleasedon'tchokemeImightbeusedtoitcausemynoosecatchesonthingsbutplease..."

It seemed the boil missed the whole point of her quip. What had she expected? "Then I don't understand why you sleep in that tiny cat bed." He had some money, didn't he? Surely the boil could save up for his own mattress and sheets... If not new than from a thrift store.
The point the boil made, however, seemed to be acknowledged. Riyo glanced away nervously when she realized how close she was. "S-so?" The cat ghoul tried to make it sound like it wasn't a big deal. It was, of course. There were few moments when she managed to get so close without fidgeting or freaking the hell out. This was, however, strictly business. She did not like seeing anyone in a messy suit, so this was just natural.
When he started fussing about the tie, the feline's brow raised and she immediately looked back to him. Oh. So this was something he didn't enjoy, was it? The grip around the tie tightened, and the smile that crossed her lips was nothing but sinister. Hands speedily tightened the knot, acting like she was about to choke him, but instead stopped when it was just loose enough. A little bit of payback for old crimes. "Wearing a noose around your neck is counter-productive if you're afraid of choking." Riyo straightened the tie ever so daintily and took a few steps back.

Akubi only grinned at her in response, "Why when I can borrow someone else's?" Seriously. What was wrong with randomly using someone's bed? Certainly he wasn't always welcome to 'borrow' someone's bed.
The catboil just smiled as she glanced away nervously and let her fidget with the suit as long as she wanted, it was probably better to not point it out too much. Sometimes it was simply a matter of pointing things out to the other to let them know that they are doing something very much against their supposed 'ethos' when it came to dealing with others. It interested him and fascinated him. He was close to everyone that would let him be close.
Misfortune loves everyone.
Akubi had paused a little she tightened her grip on the necktie, "The noose is very much apart of me. It practically hurts when it isn't on," he said simply, "it is like tearing fur off of my back." It was a odd secret to reveal but then again it was better she know before she tried to remove it one day.

"Because some people don't like sharing." The ghoul retorted, taking a step back and pulling out her eye phone. Truly, he didn't look too bad in a suit, but Riyo figured it was more the appeal of the suit than the person wearing the suit.
Was she going to take a picture? She was going to take a picture. Might as well memorialize this moment of him looking like he belonged to someone. "That's odd." Her phone made a clicking noise. "I've never heard of anything like that. I guess that means it's been there all your life." Imagine having something like that grow with you. She almost couldn't. So strange. So... Curious.
"Well... You about ready to go?" There was only so much one could do in a clothing store, and it wasn't like she had any business trying on clothes with as empty as her wallet was.
