Remaining quiet like she had once she had entered the building Mitsu waited the remaining floors until they were finally at their destination. As they stepped off she nodded to the older man again before the elevator shut leaving them alone in what looked like a living room. It was a little strange to step out of an elevator into living quarters.
While Shun was taking everything in Mitsu was looking toward the window, a cold chill running down her spine. She would have thought she would have been used to this height by now but it was somewhere new and strange.
Following Shun, Mitsu soon found herself in a smaller room, not unlike Shun's dorm back at Amity though a bit larger. The biggest difference was the punching bag on one side of the room. A well worn and abused punching bag.
"I..I want to stay here." To prove her point Mitsu stepped a bit closer and took hold of Shun's arm. She didn't want to be left alone in her own room.

That punching bag was definitely well used. There might have been some traces of blood on it in fact. Shun looked around his room, then turned towards Mitsu as she took a hold of his arm. His expression softened while he looked down at her. Nodding quietly, he set his bag down, then gently wrapped his arms around her.
"That's not a problem. You're welcome here," he said quietly.
The Reaper lingered there for a time, then thought of something.
"Are you hungry or thirsty? There should be something in the fridge.."
He figured she would want some time to try and acclimate to her surroundings here, and he wanted to try and make her as comfortable as possible.

Lingering in the embrace for a time Mitsu looked up at the offer of food. At the moment she wasn't really hungry and for now shook her head. Maybe later but not now.
"What..is going to happen next?" As well as not knowing what to expect about the place itself Mitsu didn't know what to expect from events to come. She had no idea what would be required of Shun not to mention what she would have to do since she was here.

"For now, we relax awhile. Later tonight, I need to meet with Kaitou to see what he wants exactly. You don't need to accompany me for that if you don't want," Shun explained. He thought about it some more, trying to think of ways he could try and get her to feel more at ease around here.
"After that... I could take you around the city. Show you around. This is where I grew up after all.."
A few changes likely happened since he was last here, but he figured he should still know the general lay of the land pretty well. He hadn't been gone for that long.

Relax, yeah, good luck with that. Mitsu was as tightly strung as a drum at that moment. She was doing a little better to hide her anxiety but being here knowing that something bad was coming was eating away at her. Even the distraction of going out later did little to help.
"W...what do you think he will want?" It was what she wanted to know most of all and surely Shun had an idea. Mitsu could wager a guess but she wasn't entirely sure, just the fact that he had asked him to come all the way home had her uneasy. Was the older Kuroda going to do something to Shun? Try to hurt him or make him pay for before? It still confused Mitsu why Shun would want to come back. To her it was on level with if she wanted to go back to the Hunter's Island to be locked up and turned into a weapon. It wasn't logical.

"I don't know the specifics. Possibly to talk to me about things regarding the Family. Potentially something about what had happened with the five men who got arrested. It may not go well, but avoiding it would only anger him," Shun stated, before glancing to the clock to check on the time.
"I have about an hour before I need to go meet with him. If... you need anything, please let me know."
Furrowing his brow, he let out a sigh.
"And.. I'm sorry. I should have known you wouldn't be very comfortable here.. Maybe it would have been best for you to stay home."

Mitsu turned to look at the clock as well, noting the time and how long it would be before Shun had to meet with his father. Should she try to tag along? Would she only get in the way?
"If I wanted to stay at home I would have." Mitsu said softly, her eyes turning up to look at Shun. "I wanted to stay with you and make sure you were okay." Because despite how timid and afraid she could be Mitsu knew as a last resort she could use her strength. How effective she would be against an adult she didn't know but as she had come to realize her advantage came with her size. No one expected much from her tiny form.
"Will your father be angry if I come?" She wanted to know if she would do more harm than good by being there. It was possible she could escalate something or easily prevent it all the same. All she knew was she didn't want Shun to have to pay the price for it.

Shun's expression softened at that, and he quietly nodded to her in turn. It took courage to want to stick with him despite her fears. She didn't give herself much credit when it came to that, but she could be brave when it mattered. And in a way, he was glad to have her here despite the issues. He had someone he knew who would support him no matter what happened.
As far as her question went, he had to think about it.
"I'm sure he won't expect it. I can see it going either way. He's a very hard man to please... and can find excuses to be angry regardless of what path is taken. That said... he can be somewhat unpredictable too. He has surprised me on more than one occasion.. I can never tell for certain how he may react to one thing or another."
There was a pause.
"Well almost. When it comes to things I do, there always seems to be disappointment no matter the case."

Having a father figure who was unpredictable sounded very familiar but it also meant they would be walking in on the situation blind. Shun knew about as much what to expect as Mitsu did which was anything and everything. Still, there was the possibility his father would want to keep up a friendly front. Maybe it wouldn't be all bad if she was around if that was the case. His father might want to keep up the facade a little longer. Though once he learned of their relationship Mitsu had a feeling all bets would be off.
"Disappointment?" That certainly explained a few things. Actually it explained a lot of things about Shun's behavior. The cloud of disappointment was something Mitsu was not foreign to but she was also certain that she had not experienced the level that Shun had. Struggling to do your best but no matter the outcome you just couldn't do anything right.
Instead of saying more Mitsu grew quiet again. Since entering the building her words had becoming fewer and far between. Instead she focused back on the clock as the minutes ticked away.

"Yes. Disappointment. I don't really recall ever having any sense of approval from that man. There was always something wrong," Shun replied quietly before shaking his head. He was certain he would remember any moment where Kaitou was actually proud of what he had done. His memory held no instances of anything like that.
And thus, disappointment was something he was very used to.
An hour soon passed and it was time to go see the old man. The Reaper grimaced as he made his way to the elevator to go up to the designated floor. Though, before stepping on, he turned towards Mitsu.
"Are you going to stay here?" he asked. He wasn't sure if she wanted to come with him. Quite frankly, he wouldn't blame her if she preferred to stay behind for this segment.

When the time finally arrived and Shun had to go Mitsu rose from her chair along with him and followed him to the elevator. When he turned to address her she simply smiled and reached for his hand, intertwining their fingers as she did so. She wasn't fond of meeting his father again knowing the things that she knew but she didn't want to just stay behind. Mitsu wanted to be there for Shun.
"Lead the way."

There was something a little soothing about seeing her smile. Shun nodded and took her hand, then went onto the elevator. Before long, they were at the top and it was time for business. Straightening up, he gripped onto Mitsu's hand, then stepped on off. They had to walk down a couple of hallways, before coming up to the office where Kaitou was waiting.
The older Kuroda was sitting at a desk, looking as he normally did. But he wasn't the only one there. A handful of others, including Shiro were in the room as well. The other two were a demon and a monster. As Kaitou watched his son enter, his gaze fell upon the lycan that accompanied him. This was unexpected. Aside from that, he noticed that the two were holding hands. The rings they had did not escape him either.
Stopping a few feet away from the desk, Shun didn't bother looking at the others in the room. He released Mitsu's hand for the moment, then bowed down.
"Good for you to make it on time, Shun," the older man said in a rather cool tone, though there was a sense of disapproval coating every word, "I see you've decided to bring your... lovely friend here."
"She be staying with me. I expect her to be treated with hospitality."
For a moment, something like a sneer flashed over Kaitou's features, but he soon gave a sort of smile to the lycan.
"Of course. I believe we had met once before.... Mitsu.. was it?," he said before eyeing his son sharply, "It seems that you two are... rather close."

Mitsu was doing her best to keep up her brave face but inside she was scared out of her mind. Sure people were often nervous to meet their fiancee's parents but Mitsu felt she had a little more to worry about. Shun didn't really give her any instruction so she had no idea how to act and she thought about it all the way to the top floor. This was a whole new situation so it was hard for her to pinpoint what to do and what not to do. When the elevator finally opened she was nervous at first thinking it would open up onto a vast office but instead there was nothing but a hallway.
Sighing a little bit the lycan followed Shun through the series of hallways until they finally arrived at Kaitou's office. Slowly she followed him inside, her eyes focused on his father sitting behind his desk looking very much like he had on the festival night. She felt Shun release her hand but it took her a moment to realize he had done it so that he could bow properly. Was she supposed to bow? Was it the right thing to do? Frantically moving to follow suit Mitsu made a hasty bow just as Shun was straightening up.
Mitsu now knew what Shun meant when he said disappointment. Every word the older Kuroda said was dripping with it. But why? What had Shun ever done to deserve it? And the way he stressed the word friend. Would he be angry when he was finally told? It looked like he might be when Shun told him his expectations, but then he turned an odd smile in her direction inside. It sent a shiver down her spine and she was certain she would have preferred the sneer.
"Yes...Sir." Mitsu said softly, her eyes drifting to Shun as Kaitou directed his attention to him.

"So, how have you gotten to know my son?" Kaitou asked, resting his hands onto the desk as he watched the two.
"Can we get on to why you've asked me to come?" Shun interjected with a frown. He would rather get this over with, and his father was elongating things by going on about other topics. His words caused the older Kuroda to look to him sharply.
"We'll get onto that soon enough," he said lowly in turn, but then he attempted to put on a more pleasant face as he looked towards Mitsu again.
"But what I'm really curious of... are those matching rings you two seem to have. How peculiar."

Mitsu was about to open her mouth to answer Mr. Kuroda when Shun interjected. Hesitating she looked between the two as they conversed until Kaitou's eyes once again settled on her with what seemed like a mask of a pleasant smile. Nothing about it felt real to her.
As he pointed out the rings Mitsu looked down at her left hand and then to Shun's, the gold and black rings glinting slightly in the light. Turning her head up again she blurted out a response before she really gave it any thought. "It's because we're engaged."
She realized her mistake as soon as she spoke. It probably would have been better for Shun to have said something first. Instead she had stepped out of line and now she was worried about what the older Kuroda would think. Now that the news was out would he act differently? Would he think less of her since she was a monster? Would it have been better if she had hid her tail and ears?
Casting a slightly apologetic look toward Shun Mitsu fell silent once again. Perhaps she had caused enough damage, they would have to wait and see.
