"I don't know." She said with a shake of her head. "I guess my parents were always wanderers, even before they met each other. Guess it's not easy to break that habit. It's not so bad though, I do get to see lots of things and meet a bunch of Soquili everywhere we go. But I think when I'm older I will find a place to live and stay there, traveling out for fun when I want to." The wanderers life just wasn't for her and she knew that already, but until she was on her own there wasn't much she could do but follow her parents, which of course she did happily because she loved her family.

Of course all thoughts like that were quickly forgotten when the mention of knights came up again. She was going to see them! Evangeline hurried up the hill eager to see these knights. Coming to a stop beside Adalaide Evangeline let her gaze drop to the training are where the knights were and listened as her friend named a few of these. "Wow!" Her eyes were wide with awe, partially from seeing knights but also because there was a female among them. She didn't know much about knights but she had never heard of a female knight. "This...is...so..cool!" Evangeline could barely contain her excitement as she watched from the hill. The idea of getting closer was tempting, very tempting but she shook her head. "Let's stay here for now. Maybe we can get closer in a bit." Her eyes followed as the knights moved around doing various drills as the one named Ironforge called out orders. She wondered what it would be like to be a knight, she was certain it would be a lot of work and likely wouldn't be something she would do, but if she could talk to one of them she would likely ask a million questions.

Adalaide nodded as the other filly explained why her parents spent so much time wandering about, it made a small sort of sense she supposed, if you had lived your whole live wandering around staying in one spot was probably pretty strange...probably as strange as she thought wandering around all the time was. Still it was kind of sad to thing that while yes Evangaline made a lot of friends and met allot of Soquili in her traveling she likely rarely saw them. At least here in the herd she made friends and then saw them all the time. It sounded like Evangaline had already come to that conclusion on her own however.

In any case the subject of conversation was once more swiftly turned back to the Knights and Adalaide nodded slightly as the other filly wanted to stay up here on the hill. It was better to stay up here out of the way anyways. "Mercy is really nice, we can go and visit with her after practice if you want." She offered. Mercy was by far and away her favorite Knight - sure Ironforge was watched in awe because of who and what he was but Mercy was sweet and kind as well as being a Knight and not nearly as intimidating as the others and so she was Adalaide's favorite by far and the one the filly was sure wouldn't mind meeting her new friend.

Evangeline was watching the knights move about. Some were sparring, some were running, some were talking among themselves as they waited for their turn to spar. She watched as the stallion called Ironforge gave out orders, swapping one pair in the sparring ring with another. She couldn't hear completely what he said but it was so amazing to watch knights that what he was saying to them didn't matter. Oh yes, her brother would be so jealous of this, but that didn't matter to Evangeline either. What mattered is that she made a friend and got to see something amazing as well. How many Soquili got to see knights, let along talk to them? Probably not many, especially if you didn't count those like Adalaide who lived in a herd with knights. "Wow, there's a lot of them." She said in awe as she watched the knights. This must be a fairly big herd.

Her gaze slowly shifted to Adalaide. "I'd love to meet her! I want to meet them all!" She knew that wouldn't happen, there were too many of them and before long she would need to return to her parents but she did want to meet Mercy, and Ironforge and Kaleidoscope and any of the others that would talk to her. "I'd like to move closer now." Watching from a distance had been amazing at first but now she really did want to see these knights up close. She wanted to know how many bad guys they had stopped, how much they train, how many there were. Oh there were so many questions she wanted to ask, the idea of it all had her prancing in excitement. She wondered if wherever she decided to live in the future would have knights or if she would have to come here again to see any.

Adalide couldn't help but laugh a little bit at Evangalines excitement, oh she wasn't laughing at the filly so much as she was sharing her amusement but it was nice to see someone so happy over something that she considered so small..then again she saw them Knights almost everyday. There were probably things that Evangaline had seen in her travels which would make her very jealous to know about if she heard of them.

"Okay." Adalaide told the other filly before leading her down the hill towards the sparring area. "We just have to stay off to the sidelines a bit of Ironforge will get cranky, he's a good stallion but he gets grumpy if his training is interrupted." She warned the other filly. "He takes it all very seriously." She stated. Still they could get fairly close and still be out of the way, most of the Knights were pretty used to being watched by curious foals and yearlings anyways...some of them even liked it. "When they take a break - which should be soon considering how hot it is today - we can go and talk to them. Ironforge doesn't mind if we talk to them on breaks."

Evangeline followed Adalaide down as they made their way closer to the knight's training grounds. The closer the got the more clearer she could hear Ironforge's instructions to the various knights assembled, she could hear the hooves moving and hits landing in the sparing ring. Dust kicked up as the two knights currently paired together moved around, trading blows and trying to outdo the other. She could hear Ironforge calling out for one of them to watch the other more closely, to predict the movements before they happened. Evangeline's pace slowly slight as they got closer, she was watching the sparring pair closely. Each of the stallions was quite large, well muscled and they looked pretty evenly matched to her. Being this close was even more exciting than watching from a distance.

She gave her head a nod. "Don't worry, I won't interrupt them." She was quite happy to stand there and watch for the time being. When they found a shady place to stand Evangeline let her eyes flow over all of the knights gathered here, most were stallions but there were a few mares as well, Mercy being the only one whose name she knew, but that would change once the break started. Then she would learn all their names and everything else they would tell her about being a knight. Now that she was closer Evangeline was finally able to get a clear view of the stallion named Ironforge. Her eyes widened as she took in his tall frame, shaggy coat but most of all those large curved horns. "Wow, look those horns! I've never seen any that big before." She whispered excitedly to Adalaide.

Adalaide had already seen these exercises many time's and while they had been exciting at first they were now old hoof as far as she was concerned..still it was obvious that her new friend was excited and enthralled and Adalaide wasn't about to ruin that for her. Instead she watched quietly along with her friend for a time, until the other filly made a comment about Ironforge.

"Oh yes, they are quite intimidating aren't they? I've heard some say that they've even settled fights before they could begin, Soquili just back down sometimes when they see them..though honestly I'm not sure it its the horns so much as the overall vibe he gives off. You'll see when you meet him...if I didn't know he was a good guy, I'd be scared of him." She told the other filly truthfully. But then what filly wouldn't be scared of a large stallion like that? Only the stupid one Adalaide was sure.

"But don't worry." She was quick to assure the other filly after a few moments "He really is a good guy, Mercy says he's just scary because he's old and cranky..but I wouldn't tell him that." She stated with a slight giggle.

Evangeline didn't take her eyes off of Ironforge's horns as Adalaide explained how useful they were in stopping fights before they could even get started. Only an idiot would try to stand up to those...or maybe someone who was really, really determined. Why had she not been with Adalaide now, had she not known he was a knight and thus one of the good guys and had she simply stumbled upon the large shaggy stallion she likely would have ran back to her parents without looking back. Not that Evangeline thought she could outrun such a large and muscled Soquili but she certainly wouldn't stick around to find out what he was like. But since that wasn't the case she could merely stand there in awe and take him and his knights in. "I wouldn't want to go up against him." She told Adalaide with a slight giggle.

Finally peeling her eyes away from the impressive horns Evangeline gave her new friend a smile. "I definitely wouldn't say that to him." Heck she didn't even want to repeat the words from where they stood in the off chance he would hear here. Old and cranky were one thing but having to see old and cranky up close and personal was another. As she turned her attention back to the knights it looked like things were coming to an end. "Is the training done now? Can we go meet them?" She didn't want to assume that they were and see the cranky side of Ironforge for getting in the way. Best to wait and see what Adalaide said, this may just be a shift in the training or him setting them up for something new, which hey she wouldn't mind watching more training either, but getting a chance to actually meet some of these knights and talk to them would be even better.

At Evangaline's question, Adalaide returned her attention to the Knights from where it had wandered to the pretty patch of wildflowers over by the tree's. Later on she decided she would go and make herself something pretty with them..or if she couldn't think of anything perhaps she would just admire them. Wildflowers always smelled so very pretty.

But..for the moment the flowers would have to wait. From what she could tell the Knights seemed to be wrapping things up and Adalaide was fairly sure that they could indeed go and meet some of them. "I think it would be fine now, they look like they are finished for the time being...who did you want to meet first? Anyone in particular?" She asked, letting her eyes sweep over the group wondering who Adalaide would pick.

It was happening, she was going to meet a knight. No, not just a knight but several of them. Oh the questions she wanted to ask! Oh the things she wanted to learn! But where to start? Evangeline considered her options. There was the big, and apparently old and cranky, leader stallion Ironforge. There was the equally larger, if not larger, rainbow stallion which Adalaide had said was named Kale. And then there was the only female knight among them, or at least the only one that she had seen so far and that was Mercy. Of course Evangeline would want to meet them all at some point but she knew who she wanted to meet first.

Turning her attention to Adalaide she smiled. "Let's start with Mercy." Oh yes, who wouldn't want to meet the female knight first. Of all the stories she had heard, from her father and others, knights were almost always male and so a female knight was special. That was who she wanted to meet first, and there were so many questions rolling through her mind that Evangeline feared she would blurt them out all at once when she did meet the mare.
