"I dunno, it might have magic," he started and scratched his head. Things that came naturally to do to other Senshi or Knights didn't quite feel as natural to Troy. Whereas others may have a feeling that they run along with, Troy's obliviousness often attributed these feelings to bad gas or horniness. Intrigued nonetheless, he summoned his branch of a weapon and presented it to Zia. "Ya think this thing can do magic?" He then began to wave it around like a wand, pointing at various objects hoping some magic would happen. When that was failing, he began to make sound effects to accompany it. " Bzzzap! Boom! WHA-CHANG! Pewpewpew! POW! ALAKAZAM! PIIIIIKAAAACHUUUU!"

Zia seemed to gain a lot more perk in her mannerisms when he actually summoned his weapon and she could see it for herself. That and his attempt to use whatever magic it held was apparently entertaining enough to garner giggles and applause.
"Who knows! If it can't, that'd be kind of weird. But... I don't know, I guess sometimes magic just craps out or breaks or goes away," She mused, her thoughts wandering.
Rather than try to explain it in vague terms, she bit the bullet and powered up into the form that she found so entirely unpleasant, the humanoid mauvian holding the winged artifact on her collar. "This used to do magic things, but now it doesn't anymore. I never know why. Sometimes things just run out of batteries, probably."
For being a designated information hub she was a fount of inaccurate theories and assumptions.

"Maybe I'll ask Oreius about it some," Troy shrugged, not sure how to use his own weapon. He didn't even know the thing came with magic, but the thought of that sounded both neat and terrifying. He learned in the past year and some months there was a wide variety of magic than the kind he grew up hearing horror stories about, but he was always afraid that he'd encounter that kind of magic that turns people into frogs and curses them with syphilis. "He knows a lot of things. He's one of them smarter people." "What kinda magic did that necklace do?" he asked, hoping it wasn't the syphilis kind.

Zia had a habit of becoming a bit too engrossed in the dead gem lodged in Zircon's center and played with the collar until one fluffy ear swiveled at the odd name.
"Oh! Who's Orius?" Not making the connection. She hadn't had much experience with the concept of knight ancestors and had demoted the one wandering around Alfheim as just 'other Alfheim' with no personality or name. She couldn't talk to her, how was she supposed to know they were individuals with identities and s**t?
"Oh, I don't know. It did something, I remember. It's all kind of hazy, it hasn't really done anything since I was corrupted. I think it might be broken. Like, there's a piece missing... or... I don't know, I can't remember."

"Oreius is my ghost granddaddy," Troy explained with a casual shrug, because it was normal to speak to your ancestor from a thousand years prior as a ghost. But before he explained any further, something she said startled him and shut him up. "Did you uh," he started. "Are you corrupted?" He knew what that meant. Corrupted meant bad. But she didn't seem so bad, but... He took a cautionary step backwards, unsure if he was going to need to defend himself.

"Right," Zia clicked her tongue at the explanation, only taking a fleeting half a second to ponder if she should feel bad for not bothering with whatever her own great ghost whatever was named anything.
She probably was. People were usually named things.
She put her hands on her hips when he took a step back and pursed her lips. "Do I feel corrupted to you?" She was giving off an energy signature in this form, she figured it was decent proof as any, especially since ********* indicated the marking on her forehead was unusually dark for a supposed 'good' cat and she had no real proof otherwise.
It did remind her she had been leaking energy like a faucet, though, and powered back down to a normal girl at the realization, tailless and all and only a shudder at the thought of powering up. Except it took her learning aid with her her realization was more of a disappointed 'aw'.
"Oh well." And then energetic excitement again. "Do you go to your wonder a lot?"

"I dunno, I haven't really felt you up yet," he shrugged, meaning to say something else. He had sensed her energy signature, but wasn't exactly sure what to make of it - particularly since he only paid particular attention to the energy signatures of those who were corrupt. She appeared to power down, at which point Troy thought was the best time to focus his mind on sensing her power signature, but of course could no longer sense anything, only confusing him all the more. Her change of appearance was largely unnoticed in his obliviousness. "Erm, I don't go too often, just like, every few weeks or so," he explained. "It's cause Oreius wants to train me or something, he's my Mento. But I reckon I should go soon and ask him about what magic my magic stick can do."

"I dunno why either, my tits are kind of spectacular," Zia deadpanned with a shrug. She figured he'd misspoken since the phrase wasn't accompanied by any kind of body language that usually made her throw up defensive walls and she decided to poke fun at it instead, even if she had no idea he meant energy signatures. Her train of thought didn't usually spare them much attention.
"Aaaw," She sighed and gave him a pat on the shoulder when he talked about his Mento, but she nodded at his conclusion he should visit his wonder soon, and not for the most altruistic reasons. In addition to condescendingly treating him like a gimpy puppy, she could be an a*****e in other ways too, like her self serving interests.
"I think you should too," She encouraged. "You should go as often as you can just because. Even if you can't go more than a few weeks, some people can't go to space at all. Some people can't go to space at all even though Earth is a claustrophobic nightmare," She said with slow deliberateness that was punctuated by her jerking both thumbs in her own direction.

Still not realizing his earlier mis-speak, he gave Zia an awkward brow raise at her first comment. "Er yeah, your tits are nice," he complimented, sensing she was fishing for one. He rubbed the back of his neck as he waited for that moment to pass before moving on. "Yeah, I'd reckon a lotta people can't go," he said, not quite picking up on her not-so-subtle hints. "It ain't anything to special up there though. Sorta looks like Earth, but like. Less Earth like? There's the road in the Surroundin' sorta like uhm, Mario Kart rainbow road." He wasn't sure if she could relate to that, but that's how he always thought of it. "And then there were them like, space whales that I saw one time." Because surely that made sense. "Other than its just like old buildings and ghosts. Nothing you can't find here." He wasn't sure where to find those things, but he just figured someone more worldly would.

"Well thank you," Zia chirped. She was just rolling along in this conversation and completely glossing over his confusion, because she didn't care to explain or backtrack for the poor guy.
"Okay one," She held up a finger, "The Surrounding is awesome and magical I have been there twice I love it, and two," She raised her shoulders and huffed.
"Not everyone can do it! Knights, senshi, s**t, even chibi senshi. All you guys just zoom up to space on a whim. Cat's can't do that, it's very annoying. It's like not being able to drive, and I need to bum a ride to get anywhere."

"Well it ain't on a whim, I dun think," he clarified. "I went recently and then tried to go back, but I wasn't able to or nothin'. I dunno." He gave a light shrug. "Maybe I just need to wait some more time before I go back up." He did something unusual for himself, and thought for a moment. "Hey, ya know, if you wanna come to see my wonder, maybe we can wait a bit and meet up again another time," he suggested. "I reckon I can take ya up and show ya around the Surroundin' some."

"Well," Zia flippantly shrugged off the revelation of restrictions, mostly because they didn't usually affect her directly and she didn't care too much. They could still go sometimes.
"Ah!" She did clap her hands together at his offer and lit right up. "It's a date, beefcake. Here," She managed to find a stray business card, even though these jeans never saw the inside of her posh office.
"Call me sometime," She said with a click of her tongue before she looked behind her at her car and groaned. "I got my own calls to make." She started to walk away, and didn't stop when she called behind her with a wave, "Thanks for the interview!"

Troy took the business card and looked down, reading it at his own pace. His own, far-too-slow taking-way-too-long-to-read-a-business-card pace. And by the time he had finished reading and looked back up, Zia was nearly gone, just a figure giving a way farewell. "Erm, bye!" he shouted after her with a wave back as he watched her walk away. He held onto the business card as he leapt off onto another rooftop, returning to his trip home, making a note to himself to give a call to Zia next time he pays his ancestor a visit.
