Polaris was unfortunately a little wishy washy when it came to violence. While in her head she'd tried to convince herself that this was war, and to kill was inevitable in this war if they ever wanted it to end... it was still an easier abstract thought. As he teleported practically to her feet she had felt bad for the General. It was clear he was in pain, and had he not been going after her page she might have been even more empathetic to his plight. She did not rush to try and step on his chest or use some small piece of twisted metal to impale him.
His warnings of greater power were filed away, she actually believed them. Or at the very least, felt she should always have that thought at the back of her mind. That there would always be someone out there stronger than her and that the Negaverse was always growing.
Of course her sympathy came back to bite her when he took it a step further, threatening Delphi again. Her hand stretched outward, seeming to search for something to strike him with, but he was gone well before she could succeed, so Polaris was left simply to scowl at the empty asphalt below her.
After a moment the scowl melted and Polaris turned around to better face the page. "Sorry for that language back there." a*****e was usually not part of her vocabulary, but needless to say she'd been pretty unhappy.
After the apology her attention quickly turned to looking the page over thoughtfully, eyes pausing on the ripped coat.
"Are you alright? Did he get you anywhere?" It was like night and day. The expressions and tone that had been directed at Benitoite versus what were now being offered to Delphi. There was soft concern in her eyes, her voice tender.
"I'm Polaris. And you are?"

Watching as the General vanished, she wondered if senshi or knights could ever do that, she was startled from her thoughts by the senshi's attention turning to her and more importantly, and more surprising, was the fast change in demeanor.
As the senshi questioned her she looked down at her coat and then shook her head. "No, I'm fine. Just my coat." Which was fine by her. If she could exchange this coat for something else in the summer heat she'd be pleased, though right now it was winter and still cold, she had a feeling that in the summer this coat would be very problematic for her as heat would become a serious issue quickly.
"I'm Delphi..." Offering a gloved hand the Russian girl, though she had been born here in Destiny City, managed a small smile while her eyes ran over the ground before landing on the 'weapon' that was hers. "Thank you for the help...I couldn't have won against him." Or held her own against him, he was vicious and good with that weapon he had - very good.

"I'm glad. Your uniform will mend itself before you the next time you power up too, so no worries there." After she confirmed the page wasn't bleeding to death or otherwise marred Polaris settled more comfortably on her feet. And in a moment her wings and dress disappeared, leaving behind simply an eternal senshi. Speaking of ill equipped clothing...
Delphi's gloved hand was samwiched by both of Polaris' hands, grasping much more than she was shaking it, and her hands lingered longer then was perhaps normal. "So you are the one I was supposed to meet tonight after all. I'm glad it all worked out and we found each other." Polaris wasn't trying to be rude, but she was probably staring just a little bit. Taking in the details of the knight, a thousand questions popping in her head. What was her name? How old was she? What was her favorite food? Had so been to Delphi yet, if so what was it like? How long had she been powered up. Thankfully she wasn't drowning Delphi in the questions, well not yet atleast...
Polaris' expression shifted a little, settling on an empathetic nod as Delphi spoke. "Don't worry about it. He's a General and he's been at this for a very long time. It wasn't even a remotely fair fight."
"It's always really hard when we start out. I lost so many fights and had to be saved so many times. Heck.. I still lose from time to time. And you guys really have it rough with the weapons you start with. But it's a good excuse to make friends and patrol together."
"Before you know it you'll level up. Your weapon will be better, you might get some magic, and most importantly you'll be more experienced. It doesn't matter if you win every fight. You just need to focus on walking away from every fight."

"I noticed that it cleaned itself, which is good." The bill for dry cleaning it, and explaining it, would be impossible really. How to have someone clean it and then when they questioned the outfit they were being asked to clean or mend. It wouldn't be a good thing at all. Magic was a very unusual and interesting thing, tending to a little thing like clothing.
Watching as the dress gave with to the short skirt and small top of an eternal senshi the page glanced down at where her hand was fitted between both of the senshi's hands. She was certainly happy to be meeting Delphi, a surprise but something about it pleased the dark haired girl as well. "Yes, I'm glad as well. I wouldn't have been able to meet you had you not shown up." As she doubted she'd be alive, or if alive she would certainly be on her way to a hospital.
Normally someone staring at her so much, and being so forward with their feelings over this meeting, would bother her but she understood them as well. She understood why the Princess turned Eternal was so happy to be meeting her and she couldn't find it in herself to be upset, or bothered by such. "I don't like this fighting...it's what's ruining this city...the civilians are suffering." She spoke honestly while her pale eyes drifted toward the poor car. At least the owner hadn't come out, yet, or a neighbor. That would have them fleeing while being screamed at she was sure.
"I think I've made a friend, one of the ones who saved me from him the last time...it was the night I powered up for the first time." She could still remember that night. The gear and then confusion and questions. All of it and more. She still didn't like this whole war and wished it wasn't needed. "I feel like I"m part of the problem, part of what's hurting the civilians in this city, what's hurting this city. But why...why this war? Why do we engage them? I don't know what started this or why it persists, for both sides." She didn't like war, she could see how the innocent people suffered more than anyone involved in the fighting and wouldn't it be better to not fight? But she didn't know the goals of either side and what started it all. Iris_virus (We could make this into a second rp when this one finishes. If we want Polaris to take her to the planet? Polaris sighed, folding her fingers together, her thumbs starting to fidget nervously. Whether she liked it or not, she was a horrible culprit of collateral damage and destroying the city. She only had to think back to the night she awakened as a Princess to know just how horrible things could get when she wasn't careful. It was a guilt that ate at her often.. one that she had to weigh along with whatever good she did.
"We do hurt people sometimes... even when we have the best intentions it happens sometimes. In the past I've tried to help raise money for charities to help pay back for some of the damage I've done, but who knows if it will ever be enough?"
Shifting her weight from one foot to the other she continued, hand seperating again. "For me though... I try to tell myself that the lives of people are more valuable then the stuff they own."
"Both the Negaverse and the Dark Mirror senshi use people without concern for the effects. They use them like cattle, taking energy from them whenever they want. Some of them are nicer and will only take a little, but others have no qualms with ripping out the soul and life force of innocent people, leaving them in the gutters like trash to die."
"They've attacked elementary schools. Campgrounds full of children just because they thought those children would be easy targets." Her teeth were beginning to clench until she sighed again, trying to calm down. "I may destroy their stuff sometimes.. but never in my life would I use the innocent for my own gain. And as long as I have breath in my body I'll fight to protect those innocent people. It's the most important mission there is in my opinion."
"Once upon we were searching for answers. For a Queen from the moon that we thought could fix everything. This war started because of events that happened far beyond our time. Sparked by jealousy and hatred."
"But for me the only thing that is important is the here and now. And protecting people from the monsters that want to farm and use them." She'd gotten awfully preachy... Probably travelled too far down a tangent. Leave it to Polaris to potentially scare off one of her own knights in less then 10 minutes.Sleet Tempest Snape Whichever you prefer is fine! "There are charities?" She questioned with a tilt of her head while that idea made her feel better. Was there a charity still? Was it something senshi and knights were running? It seemed the other really did feel for such things, for the damage they caused in this fight, she cared and that was something the dark haired female was...pleased, though that word wasn't quite right, felt. It showed some thought beyond the fighting and beyond just focusing on the war. There was a care for the people and the impact this fight had on them.
"I suppose that is correct." Though the money that people may not be able to afford to fix or replace things they did damage to. But a charity was a good thing and if they still had a charity she knew she'd donate to it.
"Why though? What is their purpose? What is the energy for?" She asked curious. There was so little she knew and she was trying to figure it out and understand the sides involved in this war. The idea though of targeting schools and a childrens summer camp bothered her and she understood things a little better now, felt more inclined to go out and fight them. Adults might have issues being attacked but children...the nightmares they'd suffer and such from an attack like she'd gone through. "The innocent...the very innocent who can't hope to defend themselves. They shouldn't be targets - ever."
"So...this queen could help? If we can't find them than we do it ourselves. We focus on the here and now..if only they'd do that also we might not have this whole thing...if it's all based on some past issue." Which would be nice but she doubted that would happen - ever. "I don't see why either side cared about something in the past...but if that's what fuels this than I suppose we must help the innocent who cannot help themselves."Iris_virus We can do a visit to homeworld, first time, in a new modern rp, Polaris can learn of the dystopian thing than also.

"Well... kind of." She answered thoughtfully. "There are occasional events now and then that relate to it. I usually try to contribute to those things by helping run bake sales and what not."
"But during Christmas one year. The city was running a giant canned food program for the needy. And us senshi and knights got together to collect food and so much more. And on top of it all we gathered together a bunch of money."
"And then when the city was celebrating we actually delivered all our stuff. I actually ended up being one of the ones to have to step forward because no one else would. It was really kind of scary because all the police had their guns on us... but it felt really nice to be able to give all that stuff and to let people know that we care and we're sorry. Even if.. we probably only reached a few people with our message."
"I don't know if there is anything like that still running. But if it isn't I'd love to try and help get it going again." It would take more than simply collecting a bunch of money or stuff though. You needed organization skills for that. To keep track of the funds and to figure out how to get the money out to people. There was also the big problem of getting out the word so that people actually KNEW there was someplace to go for help.
Laughing a little she added lamely. "Maybe we need to start carrying around business cards that we can leave when we accidentally damage stuff. Or just pay a ton of money to the insurance companies that probably have to pay for a lot of this stuff."
The questions were good ones and ones that Polaris REALLY wanted to be able to answer for the page. But wanting to answer and actually having all the answers.. that was a totally different story.
The eternal tapped her cheek however as she thought back, trying to recall as much as she could.
"The reason they gather energy is to further power themselves. While we are given our powers from our homeworlds and wonders.. their power comes from something different. I assume the energy they collect, because I've seen agents EAT starseeds before to boost their energy." Did Delphi know what a starseed was yet? Did she know how truely horrific that implication was? That the Negaverse could rip the soul and life force out of someone and then just casually destroy and consume it?
"Nothing is ever entirely black and white of course. But in general.. the Negaverse and Dark Mirrors are aggressive forces. They go out and gather energy for themselves and their leaders. They create mindless monsters that can gather energy. Or they go out and attempt to corrupt others into their group. Us on the other hand.. the forces of Order. We're a reactionary force. Most of us do nothing more than react to their actions and try to stop them or clean up their messes."
The most difficult questions were left for last, and Polaris paused gathering her thoughts before exhaling finally. "Okay so.. a long time ago we got to see... images of the past. So you have to take the information with a grain of salt because images don't always tell a full story. But between the things I saw.. and the information I've gleaned from my star and from others throughout the years.."
"A long time ago someone high in the royalty and heirarchy of Earth became very jealous of the Moon Princess and also the senshi of Earth. And that jealousy.. or fear.. or whatever became twisted.. to the point where parts of the Earth turned against the senshi and knights. I guess that group is the group that started the Negaverse that we know? And their whole plan was just to destroy us all."
"They traveled through space, destroying our homeworlds and taking us out one by one. Even still I've heard some Negaverse agents claim that the reason they are fighting us is because we're 'aliens' and they're trying to get us off their planet."
"Unfortunately I do not think there is a simple answer anymore like the queen." Once upon a time she had believed. When others had bawlked on the idea she had held firm in the promise that there was someone out there to rally behind. But when they went to the Moon and finally saw the holographic message left behind for them.. "After one particularly terrible battle we were.. saved... Something pulled all of us to the moon to protect us. And we saw like.. a message or something left for us from the Queen of the past. She said it was up to us and that we had to come together if we wanted to have the power we needed to save everyone."
"So.. yeah.." Polaris frowned slightly, apologetically. Polaris had had years to digest and slowly glean most of the information she'd just offered. It was probably a little harder to believe just spit out like that. Would any of it make sense to Delphi?

She did remember that canned food drive but had been too busy, with classes, to think much more on it. She'd bought cans and had someone else drop them off for her. She'd had exams right around Christmas and had needed to study hard and do well on the exams, since her job paid for her classes in part. They were paying, in part, for her to get GIA licensed since it was a need for the job she had. "After a moment she spoke up again. "I'm sure if another canned food drive, maybe a toy drive also, is run I could get my job to help as well. They could put boxes in the store to collect things for a drive." It would be a good idea but that would be months off. "Maybe something for Thanksgiving and Christmas." Both holidays were major ones and while people needed help year round, how could anyone think that needy people only needed help around that time of year was beyond her, but it was the time when people seemed to give the most and be the most willing to give to others.
"If enough time and thought is put into it...if enough people are gathered before hand, on our side, we could make it bigger...and better for those in need." This wasn't normally like her, not at all, but to help those who were suffering due to this war was an important thing. Those innocent people had done nothing to earn their fate and it needed to be helped. Not just by them but by the city which had failed in some ways also. The city hadn't rebuild or repaired certain things as they should have, among other things the city had failed in.
"I haven't heard of anything like that running. it would be good to try and get something going again." But would they be able to? She wasn't the sort to start or run something like that on her own, she wasn't social enough and didn't deal well with people enough for that.
"I don't know if that would be the best way to go about things. Maybe...a charity fund or some fund though..." She said this slowly as the thought ran through her mind. It was possible to help people in big ways but the work it would take and how many people would need to be involved. "And yet we'd still have to keep ourselves safe." From people like that General and from civilians who thought they were terrorists, which in a way they were.
The information dump took moments to digest and when she had she nodded slowly, the crystals in her hair jangling together as she did so. "I see...but no one is really coming together- at least not that I've seen." Which wasn't a lot but still. She hadn't seen them all gathering together as it seemed they should, or needed to do. "Starseed...what is that? It sounds like...they need outside power? Like us but different..." She would think on everything more, after tonight, and try and figure things out as she needed to, she would need to in order to survive this war and help others.

"That would be fantastic. Even if there isn't an event there is no reason we couldn't just gather things and drop them off at a shelter. Though any good PR we can get isn't really a bad thing..." She laughed a little at the thought. It seemed like the Negaverse was so much better at PR.. It was really hard to combat that whole 'terrorist' thing.
"I totally agree." Polaris nodded vigorously to Delphi's idea and sentiment about making things bigger and better and about the charity. "It really would be a fantastic thing, but it's probably one of those things that you need to set up yourself if you want to see it done."
Her finger tapped her cheek thoughtfully. "Maybe I'll start looking into what goes into setting up and running charities. I'm sure it's a ton of work but if a few of us can work together I'm sure we can figure out something."
Speaking of working together. Polaris gave a bit of a sigh and shrug when Delphi mentioned the lack of Order coming together, venting her own frusterations. "I really think trying to gather us all together is a harder than a giant youma battle. We've tried it so many times. So many giant meetings that start out with the best intentions..." She trailed off, thinking back to the meeting she herself had helped to run once. "But they always crumble into bickering. There are just too many opinions, and views, and vastly different ideas of the best way to go about things."
"And it's not like trying to force your views on someone is going to work. We need to find a middle ground.. were we can work together even if we don't necessarily go about it in the same way. But yeah... getting everyone to work together is probably our hardest battle, and one I don't think we've ever been successful at."
"Well except for when giant monsters try to attack Earth.. and in occasions like that we've even kind of... fought alongside of the bad guys to kill the even bigger bad guy."
She was rambling. Babbling like a brook, and hadn't really realized yet that she might be talking just a litttttle bit too much. But then Delphi said something that brought a giant smile to the senshi's face and she leaned forward to hug the other girl suddenly. She was just so.. glad and relieved that Delphi hadn't found herself in a situation where her starseed was in danger yet.
"Okay so.." Stepping back, she tapped her fingers on her chest. "Right here in all of our chests there is a beautiful crystal. It holds our life force and our power. Everyone has one and without it you can't live."
"I'm not really certain how they do it.. but Negaverse agents have the ability to reach into people's chests. And they can corrupt someone's starseed and make them join the Negaverse or they can pull it out of their chest. Which.. like I said.. you can't live without your starseed.. so if a body is without it for too long the person will die." She paused for a moment, letting Delphi take in the somber warning.
"When Chaos drains energy from someone I imagine it probably comes from the starseed as well.. but it's a slower motion. Usually less lethal." Though that wasn't always the case... "But when they want a lot of energy they take the starseed. If they eat a starseed it gives them a giant boost of energy, but they only seem to do that in emergencies. What they do with them when they don't eat them though I don't know.. I assume take it to their leaders."
"Regardless. The starseeds and energy of Destiny City doesn't belong to the Negaverse or the Dark Mirror senshi. So I try and do my best to prevent them from taking what isn't theirs."

"We would have to work together for a charity, those who understand money management, business, and other fields which can help in managing a charity. We could hold events, to get more money, where plates are charged for and the money goes to the charity." Something big and lasting would be an ideal if she were being asked, sort of how universities had endowments which lasted and grew and covered things for students.
"I'm sure there is, it makes sense. With how many of us there seem to be, as the tv has shown, there is going to be many different personalities which won't all get along." No, she supposed it would be hard getting them to all work together to accomplish something, but she was sure some would help with such an idea. It wasn't something she could start though. She didn't know anyone, not really, and it wasn't something she could do.
"Yes, a middle ground is the best we can get. That'll at least help in working together, toward the same goal...just in different ways." She didn't like working with others, she really didn't, but if it would help the people she would be willing to...try and do her best in working with others.
A hug, she was being hugged. For a moment she went stiff in the others hold but managed to relax herself. It wasn't something that happened to her unless it was from a family member, she didn't have friends and dating was something which didn't happen either. So to be suddenly embraced by someone whom she'd just met was a very odd thing, she supposed she might have to get used to this white haired woman hugging her.
The lesson on starseeds and energy had her nodding, though internally she shuddered. "I see...I agree with that. I am curious what they go to doing, the starseeds and energy, but I agree with what you've said and find that information helpful." Helpful and it would hopefully be information she could put to use, or would need one evening.
"What other things do I need to know, what do I need to learn and do?" The warmly dressed page asked finally. She was sure there was more she needed to know and things she needed to learn - to see even. There was obviously a lot out there which she needed to learn.

"Those are all great ideas." She praised, nodding her head as she filed away the suggestions. "I'm studying to be a teacher... so that's not really helpful. But there is something to be said about time and effort. Even if it's just helping gather the right people or the grunt work of arranging files." Really it was an idea that had been at the back of Polaris' head for awhile now. Having the push from Delphi just helped to get those juices flowing. Maybe one day it could actually be something more than 'just an idea'.
The hug was brief but affectionate, Polaris settling back on her heels as she thought about the knight's.. fairly overwhelming question. "Gosh.. I probably couldn't even begin to cover everything. There is so much that I don't know myself."
"The big important things I guess are to always be cautious around the forces of Chaos. Some of them seem nice enough and will even just talk to you versus trying to fight, but others are very tricky so never let your guard down entirely, even if they seem trustworthy."
"Also patrolling together and working in groups is always a good idea if possible." It was like.. rule number one really.. but Polaris knew how bad she was at following that rule herself.
She was listing away, ticking at each finger as she hit a new point. "And since you're a knight there is your ring and your wonder. Have you been there yet?"
Laughing a little, her head swirling with thoughts, she shrugged a little. "To tell you the truth the best bet is just to give you my cellphone number. When you have a specific question I can see if I know the answer. Or you can write me too. If Niflhel happens to be around I can respond through him as well."

"I'm studying gemology, the jewelry store I work for is paying part of it." So this one, her princess, wanted to be a teacher. That was a noble and worthy thing to pursue, to educate the next generation. "We could gather the right people, I'm sure." Though it may not be easy, it may take time, but if it helped the people in need it would be worth it. it would also help their faction in this whole damned war and the people might stop calling them terrorists, she really wasn't happy being called a terrorist.
Patrol with others...it made sense and yet it wasn't something she was fond of. She didn't like working with others, didn't trust others though Polaris here was different somehow as was Veruna. She felt she could trust them both so perhaps it would be Veruna she could patrol with as well as Polaris? She could do that but the idea of going beyond that, of widening her social circle was troublesome to the dark haired girl but she did understand, and accept the advice given. "I'll keep that in mind about chaos." That wasn't something hard to think about, not at all, she didn't trust anyway and she knew it. She didn't need to worry about Delphi listening to and possibly trusting what a member of chaos said - it wouldn't happen.
"Ring...wonder?" She questioned before she shook her head. "I know I heard about a place...but no - I've not been there." She answered while wondering just what it would be like up in space. It was something which broke many things she'd learned in high school and even middle school science classes. To be able to go to space, with a fair amount of ease, and no need for helmets and air supplies and other such things. "Write you...? I'm rather clueless. I've not met many others. My cell phone I can give you though." That was easy, that she could do.

"Ohh that sounds like an interesting job." Aurora was no stranger to jewelry or the jewelry store. Working with all the beautiful stones and settings must have been nice. Peaceful even.
She was slightly disappointed, but not particularly surprised. People getting awakened and then not told much of anything had always been a problem and it wasn't one that had entirely be solved. Kallichore had done a wonderful thing creating a primer in the senshi phones, but that didn't help the knights or the senshi that didn't realize where to look.
"Every knight has a special ring that they need to find. I think they are usually somewhere on your wonder, but another knight would know better then I do. In anycase, the rings let you send messages to anyone you like. you just write something on a piece of paper, write who it's going to, and then touch it with your ring and poof." Her hands made a flourishing motion. "The other person receives it almost instantaneously. Very good for when you're in trouble."
"We senshi have magical cellphones." Summoning hers into her hands, she showed Delphi, before pulling up the contacts. "Go ahead and put your cellphone number in there and I can call you with my regular cellphone tomorrow. I'll give you my address and stuff too, in case you need anything at all. Even if it's just a meal, I love to cook and bake."
"You should also check out your wonder at some point, but that isn't really quite as pressing as finding your ring. Luckily you're dressed pretty warm, it's really chilly up there on Polaris."

It was a love for the shiny stones which had captured her, as a child, first and she'd been pulled since and sought a job dealing with those stones so many years later. It had brought her to this point, where she was going for a degree dealing with gemstones and to continue her currant job, perhaps move up somehow? Yes, she would like that a lot. "It's interesting - very interesting but it takes a lot as well." but what college major didn't take a lot from a person? Though some surely took more than others. If it hadn't been for her love for gemstones, and her want to work with them and learn all that she could about them, she wouldn't have done so well in science classes throughout her school years, or math either.
"So it's like e-mail or a text." She said while nodding her head. That seemed like a good idea, a good way for messages ti get from person to person. Fast and efficient and she liked that, a lot.
Taking the offered phone she punched in her number, her full civilian name, and pressed save for it. "I'll give you my address also...I also cook and bake, I have my own apartment." As much as she loved her parents she had wanted to move out in order to live on her own now, with a little help from her parents as possible. She liked being self sufficient, at least as much as she was.
"is it? I suppose the uniform is for that purpose...as it once was needed." Though the summer and it's heat made the uniform unbearable really. It was more likely she'd drop from heat stroke than handle a fight of any kind. "I'd like that...to go up there..." She wanted to see it.

Polaris nodded softly as she Delphi mentioned the work involved in her studies. Maybe once they got to know each other better she'd find out what jewelry store the other girl worked at, and she could switch most of her business there. After all, wasn't it her job to support her knights however possible? She assumed that was it. Noone had given her a princess manual.
"Yay, maybe we can swap some recipes." She mused before finally take back her phone and poofing it back away into nothingness.
"I'm sorry." Polaris laughed a little apologetically as Delphi commented on the hot costume. "I'm actually always had the reverse problem where I was freezing to death in the winter."
"I can take you up there sometime though if you like. Or if you'd prefer to go yourself all you have to do is focus on the North star and think really hard about your Wonder. If you ask it'll take you there."Sleet Tempest Snape *cough cough* Maybe Azzo and Aurora can get her wedding ring from a certain shop. ;3 Can she set stones herself yet?
