"Yes," said Celsus, in mock seriousness. "Because we must know how to handle the wondrous paradox that is the guardian cat H ebe."
The expression on his face softened a little. "It's a pleasant place to be," he agreed. "Though admittedly right now, we're a little...sparse..."
Celsus trailed off, cleared his throat, and tried again. "Skateboarding seems a reasonable excuse," he said with a laugh. "I should go and get myself one, because how would I explain skateboarding accidents without a skateboard?"
He grinned suddenly. "Tell you what. Tomorrow I will get myself a skateboard, and then in three days time, we'll meet back here (same time), and you can give me all the pointers you can. That way I have a little time to adjust to using it, and look less like a fool when I board in front of you."

Victoria nodded, "Indeed, I don't think the world could handle ********* without everyone knowing her."
There was a smile as the other agreed to a skateboarding lesson. When Celsus mentioned that he could look less like a fool in front of Victoria he couldn't help but chuckle a little, "Trust me, I've seen my share of accidents when someone just starts on a skateboard. I work in a skate shop, we get a lot of first timers."
He clapped the Knight on the back. "You're not going to look any worse failing on your dairy air than anyone else in this town." There was a small pause, "Though if it'd make you feel better that's fine, you can practice on your own."
Humming, "Though I'd offer to help you with buying a board too, if you wanted and didn't mind us knowing each other's Clark Kent's, so to speak. I could also help that way. At least get you a decent board, with a decent price." He shrugged, "Up to you though, you're the boss man on this one." Victoria liked helping out fellow crime fighters, when he could.

That made him laugh aloud, Celsus shaking his head, an affectionate look in his eyes as he said, "That's for bloody certain. She's quite a character, isn't she?"
Grinning, he added, "Yes, well, at least when I fall on my backside it'll be with style. Because that's really what I'll be practicing for the next three days - learning how to gracefully fall off a skateboard."
Victoria's offer made him tilt his head thoughtfully, Celsus tapping his chin.
"Don't go ratting me out now," he said, and smiled before de-powering back down to his regular civilian self, a lanky redheaded young man with freckles and his hands casually slipped into the pockets of his khakis.
"Fritz St. James, at your service, sir."

"That she is." Victoria agreed as he stood there, laughing a bit along with Celsus. "Takes an army to feed one cat, I'd hate to find out there were more that could eat like her."
It would be a wonder the City had any food left at all.
There was a shake of his head, "There's only two that I know who can fall with style and they're not real. That's Rainbow Dash and Buzz Lightyear." His sister tv knowledge might've been showing there, just a little.
"Ah shucks I can't go rat out a fellow do-gooder, what sort of hero would I be? I don't think my little sisters would appreciate it. I have to be a good role model you know."
After a few moments Victoria powered down as well. "Feliks Varvrik, pleasure to meet you Sir." St. James, the name reminded him of that song his sister listened to, St Jimmy. Totally different saints but still!
He pulled out a card, "Marxz makes me carry these now." There was a small exasperated sigh "Anyhow, if you stop by Mad Marxz's you're in for a complimentary 10% off using that as a first time customer." This was Marxz's way of making Feliks pay him back for all the cover stories he was doing. At least Marxz wasn't the sort of guy to question things as long as they weren't illegal. . . . .

He stifled a laugh, cleared his throat, and kept his face as straight as possible.
But internally he was still laughing at the Buzz Lightyear joke.
Grinning, Fritz stretched out his hand towards Feliks, a smile on his face. "A pleasure, then, Feliks Varvrik. I'm glad to have made your acquaintance."
He plucked the card from the other's fingers and scanned it curiously, eyes flicking down the information. "That's good to know, thank you," he said, and looked back up, smiling. "You've been quite helpful tonight, I'll have you know."

"Ah perhaps you should tell Iris that, I can hear her now 'well at least he's finally good for something'."
He even did the air quotes, and stopped himself, giving a small cough, "Anyways, I'm glad I could help you out. It's good to be able to do something a little more useful than normal."
He smiled, "I should probably get home, my youngest sister starts to ask a million questions if I show up past one am most nights." There was a sigh as he said this, he loved his sisters he really did but he was going to have to find a way to sneak in the house without them hearing him if it keeps up.

Fritz grinned. "Don't worry, my brother is the same way as this Iris, it seems. He's always getting on my case."
Rocking back on his heels again, Fritz held out his hand for a second time. "Really," he said. "You've been an excellent fellow, and I've glad to have met you. Now if I can just figure out a way to be quiet about getting into room...not easy when I live on the fourteenth floor of a loft building."

"Ah well, we have something in common then! Besides knowing *********." Feliks took the offered hand in a shake, "Yeah, I have four sisters.... one story house but still... I know your pain." He couldn't just climb in the window either. Which was very unfortunate some days.

Fritz lifted his hand, giving the other a mock salute and a grin, already beginning the walk back to his building.
"Till next time then, friend!"
