Trevor thought about it for a moment "i'm usually doing homework or going out for a nice walk to enjoy the fresh air, i actually don't get out much" he admitted,"i mainly focus on practice and academics" he told her and he was not proud to admit that. As his mother and sister put it he needed to live.

"It sounds like you keep yourself busy." She said lightly, though in her mind she was thinking about how dull that must be. Not that she was going to say that out loud! Homework and sports? Didn't he have time for anything else? She stretched her arms out behind her, resting them with her hands around her neck and elbows sticking out.
"Have you ever thought about doing something new? Like going to a restaurant you have never been to, or take a class that you have no experience with?"

Trevor shrugs a bit "i try to anyway" he put in and thought about it "i don't get out much, i prefer to eat home cooked meals instead of spending money on what i can get and cook on my own." He told her "still learning to cook some different meals on my own, but i don't have room mate so im slowly teaching myself to cook." He said.

She let her arms drop, then spread them out wide. "Well you happen to be in luck! I am all about cooking, both teaching and testing! Tell me, do you like peppers?" Her grandparents and roommate hated peppers, so she could only use them when she was cooking for herself. She cooked for her grandparents a couple nights a week. They demanded that she spend that time studying, but spendig the time with the people who raised her was important to Amarilla, and her grandparents weren't getting any younger. She knew that sometimes it was difficult for them to get around the house, let alone cook a full meal.
"Or what about water chestnuts?" she continued, mind flying to the asian style recipes she had always wanted to try.

Trevor nodded his head "that is lucky, I don't know any new recipes just simple ones like soup, and ramen" he said unsure if she had heard of the term 'ramen' it was usually common with asian cultures. He stopped in mid-walk to stretch a bit before looking at her "I'm open for learning new recipes" he told her with a smile.
The tapped his chin thoughtfully with a finger "I don't think I've heard of water chestnuts, my palette isn't as sophisticated as others" he informed her, it never was he would need to remedy that soon.

Amarilla clapped her hands, stopping her walking as well. He was like a fresh opinion! A clean slate! And he already jnew about ramen. She dearly hoped he meant traditional ramen, not the instant garbage that most students her age were prone to eating.
"Well it's settled! You definitely have to come over and cook with me!" Her tone became mildly shy, and she fiddled with her ponytail. "I mean, if you want to."
She shouldn't have been so demanding. It was incredibly presumputious of her to assume. She felt rather silly, and a tad embarrassed.

Trevor glanced at her and smiled lightly "I would love to, I don't mind learning something new about cooking" he said and grinned lightly as her tone became mildly shy " I would like to" he reassured her. Before he stretched a bit longer.

Reassured, Amarilla grinned.
"Well ok! How about I give you my number, and you can tell me when you have free time? After classes, I am usual,y at home studying or something. My roommate is super cool too!"
She ran over to her bag, rummaging through for a spare piece of paper. Then came a frantic search for a pen. She scribbled her phone number on the paper and, feeling shyness threaten to overcome again, ran back over and handed the paper to Trevor with a blush.

Trevor nodded his head "I'm usually here, the soccer field for at home" he told her. "Sounds...great" he said with a smile. He could use some friends that's for sure. So far all his friends have been girls.
He chuckled lightly as she ran over to her bag for a piece of paper and pen. He waited patiently until she came back with her number he took the piece of paper and folded it neatly putting it somewhere safe he would need to move the number to his phone when he got the time. Before smiling "Okay..I'll give you a call or send you text and we can set up a day and time" he told her.

"Ok!" Amarilla was pleased. She had a new friend!
"Well...I have to be going actually. All this running and talk about food has made me hungry!" She giggled, then offered a wave.
"Hope to hear from you soon! Until next time!" She didn't like saying goodbye. It felt too final. And she hoped that this wasn't the last time that she was going to see him. So she refused to use those words.
Oh but whe he came over, what was she going to make? She didn't know how long it would be until then, so she should decide now! Curry with rice? Sweet potato soup? Well it woukd depend on the weather....
She picked up her things and with one last look back, she left the track to peruse her various cookbooks.

Trevor waved after her and picked up his bag and headed in the opposite direction towards his dorm. He really needed to get cleaned up before he decided to go over to Amarilla's house.
