The beginning was shaping up to be a normal game of laser vs. laser for Sekani: take some shots and run away, out of view of potential snipers if he could help it. After bringing devastation to some unsuspecting lovebirds, though, he had a clear shot for the enemy base. It was carnage! He had to hold back the urge for high-5s all around and slamming into his nearest teammate. Save that for the lacrosse field, where it wouldn't actually be detrimental.
There was actually someone blocking his retreat, however. "You're in my way, sir," Sekani said in a mix of fun and mock-military. When the other player turned around, he realized his mistake. That was no yellow team member.
CRAP.
It was all death-blossom formation and running from there. The danger of his lingering in the heart of the enemy base was becoming more and more apparent as exits were blocked and enemy beams criss-crossed around every turn. He couldn't return it as fast as they were dishing it out! Salvation only came in the form of the yellow team's sniper -- whether that player knew it or not, they had paved a way for his escape. Only a few minutes left now.

Bush bush bush bush.
There it was! His good friend, the bush. Back to where it all began or some poetic drabble. Not too many other players looked for people in this particular shrubbery, even less on a casual-heavy event such as today. One had to practically curl up on the ground to use it effectively -- Sekani told himself that it was tacticool, but it was likely more that other people didn't treat laser tag as a faux military exercise. He hid there just long enough for the hoard back there to lose him, content to stick with taking a few pot-shots when the opportunity came up.
There was only one chance left to redeem himself before the last minute was up. A cluster of couples off of starboard. Perhaps it was the group he just lost -- either way, they were primed targets.
"Serving up hot laser!" It was funny to him, being a chef. Unfortunately, it also caught the attention of the other team's snipers! He had only gotten one of his targets before he was destroyed. Lights went up, signaling the end of the round, before he 'recovered.' Now that was a good game. Safely off of the field of battle, Sekani finally could let loose his pent up high-5s, congratulating teammates and enemies alike who had given a good show.

Aitana's foster parents had apparently wanted a quiet 'date night' at home bad enough that upon the Brazilian exchange student arriving home from school, she'd been pretty immediately bribed and booted. Not that she minded! Without a job Aitana often found herself pretty poor. It didn't ever bother her enough to warrant getting a job to remedy the problem, but it wasn't often she had $50 free burning a hole in her pocket, and Aitana was happy to go find someplace to spend it.
Her first trip had been a gas station, picking up a soda and bag of nacho Doritos to munch on as she made her way down the street. The movie theatre was her second stop, glancing at her choices thoughtfully. Most of them looked pretty girly and dull. People making kissy faces or holding each other tightly. But one stood out to her. Explosions, blood and sweat, even the title (Die Hard) screamed out as something exciting. Unfortunately it didn't start for another hour or so.
She had some time (and more money) to blow and nowhere to go, so slowly Aitana wandered, glancing casually at store fronts as she passed by. The blinking lights of the arcade were hard to ignore. Finishing her soda and chips she dumped the trash in a nearby can before wandering in, letting the loud thrum of music swallow her up.
Making her way to the counter she traded $10 for tokens before starting to make her way around the arcade, looking for a game that was open and looked exciting. First stop, House of the Dead! Popping in a few tokens she picked up the colorful plastic gun and locked her eyes on the screen. Die Zombie scum!!!
