Orah squeaked when Aventine charged at her, but managed to keep herself from doing more than flinching away from her as she charged past. A soft oof escaped as she felt the elbow in her back and she straightened up, reaching back to rub the spot. It hadn't really hurt, thanks to being powered up. One of the nice things about it.
"Oh, I see what you did... that makes a lot of sense, actually. I thought you were going to crash right into me until you swerved to the side. I can see that taking someone by surprise before they figured it out." She said as she grinned, turning to face the page. Holding up her hands, she waved away Aventine's worry with a laugh, shaking her head. "No, no, I'm fine. You just bumped me good, it didn't hurt. Do you want to try it again? I'll see if I can dodge it this time. I'll be expecting it, but its still good to practice."
Despite how serious fighting could be, the flower senshi felt more like they were playing than training, and she was rather enjoying it.
"I'm sort of debating taking a self defense class at the community center... but I have no idea how I'd fit it into my schedule."

"Ooh, a self defense class? Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," Aventine said, pondering stealing it. "I mean, it's kinda tough juggling this and school and you know, my bustling social life—" she paused, flashed a grin, and then insisted, "Just kidding. I used to be bustling, back in high school. Then half my friends got married, and half are already applying to grad school. Then there are a few that don't totally fit into that scheme, but I have to find some girls to get me out of the house. I'm going stir crazy. Hitting up the bars, the clubs is fun and all, but the nightlife just isn't the same when you're going out by yourself. I guess the intelligent thing to do might be to take a self defense class…"
…But then again, she wasn't sure she wanted to go do something like that by herself. "Tell you what, if you find a self defense class that works for you, gimme a call? Maybe we can go together. Because, you know." She waved her hand as though that was an explanation enough. "—So tell me what you think after you find out if you can dodge, okay?"
She gave Ida only a second after that to prepare herself before she was charging again, this time veering to Ida's right as she whipped her left elbow backwards. It wasn't as controlled or anywhere near as strong as her right arm, but in battle, sometimes you just had to spice things up if you wanted to come out on top.

Ida smiled sheepishly. "I'm still in highschool, I'm afraid... I don't really have a ton of stuff to do though. I'm in the choir at meadowview, but I don't actually have a ton of friends so I don't have a really busy social life... And I've never been to a bar."
Aventine was obviously older than she was and she felt silly. Would she even want to be friends with a highschooler? You couldn't tell what anyone's age was in these fukus, not really. Maybe she just hadn't known and considered it beneath her.
Half in her thoughts, she was taken by surprised when the page rushed her, but went the other direction this time. Thrown off by it, she stumbled and still got the elbow in her back, making her squeak as she danced out of the way. Well, at least her foot work was holding up.
"Yeah, I can give you a call if or when I find something... and then you can let me know if you still feel up for it."Kyuseisha no Hikari *leaves a note for you* I don't know how much detail you want to go into for the sparring! If you wanna gloss over it in a post we could possibly wrap this soon, otherwise i'm fine rping out the fake!fighting!

Aventine grinned. "Absolutely! I'm at DCU now, but most of my classes are in the middle of the day. College is great when you get to schedule when you want to go to class. All my mornings are free, and most of my evenings are free, so I should be easy to work with!" she replied—but then it was time to get serious.
For a good twenty minutes straight, she and Ida took turns trying off different moves and attacking each other. Aventine had neither done nor received any real damage, though she figured she might still end up being sore come morning.
Thankfully, her mornings were very free, and she had the luxury of sleeping in as long as she liked. Hunched over and panting for breath, she looked up at Ida and grinned. "I think I gotta call it a night, girlie. I can't catch my breath anymore than I can catch you. You're pretty sneaky when it all comes down to it!"
Bluefire Dragonz All right! I hope this works! If it doesn't and you want to change things up, lemme know and I can edit!

Ida couldn't breath enough to laugh when the pair finally called it quits, instead grinning at Aventine as she braced her hands on her hips and panted. Shifting her hands to the small of her back, she bent backwards and to the sides to loosen up her spine and ease some of the ache from repeated blows from the page's elbows. They hadn't been hard, sure, but after a while anything could make you sore.
"That was... a great... work out." She said as she chuckled, shaking her hair back out of her face. "You got me more times... than I dodged."
Dropping her arms and taking a step forward, she offered her gloved hand to Aventime.
"Thanks for sparring with me, and for being so nice. I'll call you on my phone in a couple of days, when I'm free, so we can work out a good time to meet up. Now is probably not a good time to do it, especially because I could get in a lot of trouble if my Dad figures out I'm not at home right now. I don't know what I'd tell him... I'm really no good at lying to him, but getting out like this... I dunno, it feels important. And there are times, like now, when I meet someone awesome doing it."

Aventine forced herself upright and managed to provide another grin; she took the girl's hand and shook. "You're a sweetheart, yourself. I'll look forward to that call! I don't mind a wait time—you do what you have to do. I don't want you to get in trouble or anything." While she missed her father, Aventine was glad to be living on her own; the lack of a roommate was an extra luxury (once you got past the occasional boredom) when you considered not having to come up with excuses. "If he asks, you could always tell him you were hanging with a friend? I mean, it's not a total lie. And the offer extends to beyond that. If…something ever comes up, if you're ever afraid to go home or need an excuse to get away, I've got an extra room at my place. So like…bad fight or something and you need a few hours to recuperate and clean up before you head home, my house'll be open. If you don't mind the dog, I mean. He's a super sweet heart, but he's also…super big. Uhm. Yeah, so," rambling was a pretty strong talent of Aventine's, so she forced a quick smile and ended with a hasty, "Just let me know if there's anything I can help you with. This whole thing—yeah, it's…it's important. And I'm going to wish you the best and thank you for sparring with me. I figure this sorta thing is gonna be what keeps me alive in the long run, so thanks, Ida. I appreciate it. And I'm definitely looking forward to doing it again."
She couldn't resist another playful rush and elbow jab; she had enjoyed the workout, and while exhausted, it was relaxing to treat this more as a game than a life or death situation. Besides! She had to make sure Ida had learned something out of all of this!

Ida felt warmed by how open and friendly Aventine was, and how much she seemed to care despite how short a time they had known each other.
"Oh, don't worry about me. I never fight with my dad, he's a big ol' softy, but I'll remember your offer if I ever need it. Thank you for that... I really appreciate it." She said with feeling. She'd never had anyone like that she could turn to if she had troubles, it was a new and strange feeling.
The sudden motion broke her out of her serious mood and she squeaked as Aventine rushed her another time, taking her by surprise. Thankfully, they'd already practiced this... she managed to spin on her heels with the Page's forward motion, following it around so any touch she got from the elbow was light at best.
She laughed as she danced back, feeling tired but happy. "Almost got me that time!" Ida said as she bounced, pretending she was a boxer with her hands up in fists in the classic pose. "You'll have to be faster next time!"

Aventine laughed. "Almost!" She mimicked Ida's boxing antics, and then playfully swatted at the air. "I'll work on it! But for now, you just get home safe and we'll catch up later! I had a really good time, so it was really good to meet you! Night!" she waved, spinning on her heels.
Even the soreness and fatigue from their session wasn't enough to wear her down; she might not have fought off evil or dusted any youmas this evening, but she still felt more productive than she had in weeks. Meeting a new friend, working on some moves, and establishing future plans were enough to sate her craving for social attention while still ensuring she wasn't neglecting her knightly duties. If things went well, she'd have more than just a patrol buddy; she might even get away with nabbing a new shopping buddy.

Ida laughed with Aventine, feeling a lot lighter than she had in a while. She watched as the older girl headed for home, waving her good bye as she went.
The flower senshi had a feeling she'd started something good here and she was excited to see where it went.
