The sudden rush of self-doubt that had hit her was hard to shake, but it helped that the other senshi was patient with her. It was true, she needed to defend herself and Tsui was strong... if she needed proof of that, all she needed to do was open up and feel the energy she put off. Ida was still new, still weak... when she imposes logic on her sudden panic then it started to seem silly. What could she do to actually hurt such a strong person?

When she thought about it, it was really like those karate things you saw or heard about. People fighting each other, barehanded, and no one being hurt more than a bruise. She might not ever be good at this sort of thing, but Tsui wanted her to try.

"I'm sorry, I just panicked there... I've fought youma before, but it was just... I don't know. I'm not really good at anything and I just got a little scared that I wouldn't be any good at this too." Ida said as she fumbled for the words, twisting her gloved fingers together as she shifted from foot to foot. "Let's try it again, and I'll really do it this time, I promise! Just... be patient with me at first."

"In this line of work, doubt can be your worst enemy sometimes." Tsui said, trying not to sound too harsh to the girl, especially when she felt that same crippling doubt far too many times. She had made the mistake of allowing too many on the other side to get into her head, so much so that she found herself resorting to just shutting down her mind and just lashing out. That was just as bad as giving into their lies and doubt, wasn't it? "Members of the Negaverse and Dark Mirror Court really think that they're on the right side and will do anything to convince you of it too. They can't help it, but don't believe them. Believe in yourself, okay?"

The Eternal Senshi of Tigers had her fill with self-doubt, and she was pleased to see that she was getting through to Ida. It wasn't just to feed her own ego, but it really felt good to know that other members of her court wouldn't have to go this route alone, whether it be unwillingly or willingly, like she had. It gave her some sense of hope, and that was the biggest combatant of the doubt and despair that seemed to be running rampant with her allies.

"Well, so long as you try your best, and do what you feel is right, then that's all that matters," Tsui said in regards to Ida's very rational fear of not being good at it. Tsui had long since accepted that no everyone wanted to fight, but she knew that Senshi and Knights had to stand on their own, for the sake of those who couldn't. Such profound wisdom she didn't think to share with Ida, as she gave a confident nod and returned to a defensive position, welcoming the Senshi of Orchids to strike. "I'm not normally a patient person, but like you, I'll try my best. Now, try to punch into my palms, but not too hard. I don't want you to get hurt..."

Ida firmed herself and then took a swing at Tsui, aiming for her palms. It was time to just let go of her fears and let the older senshi lead her. It wasn't so hard or so frightening this way. She trusted the tiger senshi and that went a long way. They might have only just met, but Ida just sensed the goodness in her and accepted it the way it was. It was a big step forward for her and one she was never likely to forget.

The training seemed to go by in a blur, though the ache she felt afterwards was a very good reminder of all the work they had done. Defensive stances, how to throw a punch, how to take a punch or a kick, how to fall down... all of it was absorbed by the flower senshi and filed away. She might not remember most of it, but it laid the foundation and that was what was important.

Finally coming to a stop, Ida braced her hands on her knees and breathed deeply, trying to slow her heart rate back down to something normal.

"Oh, jeez, that was a work out..." She huffed, straightening up and behind from side to side to loosen up her body, relax it from the rigorous use she'd put it to. "I feel like we've been at this for hours... and I'll probably feel like I went through a meat grinder tomorrow." A bright smile spread on her face though, feeling a haze of tiredness and goodwill settling over her. Maybe this senshi thing wouldn't be so bad. Maybe she could, if not be the very best, at least be useful. Maybe find a place where she could be helpful.

Turning, she offered her hand to Tsui with a smile.

"I want to thank you for this, and for being sort of a mentor to me tonight. It really means a lot to me and I really do appreciate it. I hope I can run into you sometime and we can do this again. Training a newbie like me is probably the last thing you want to do, but I already feel like I've gained a lot through this." She said sincerely. "I hope we meet again."

Tsui had spent the better part of a year being a senshi and even outside of her role as a Senshi, she was rather athletic, but even she was winded by the end of the training session. It was easy to lose track of time, and she had thought that she was holding back, but she was wrong and often put more than she probably should have put, given it was a training session. Yet, Ida was keeping up with her, and this definitely gave Tsui hope for the new senshi.

When they were finally done, Tsui dropped her guard, and she flopped to the ground, huffing and puffing and doing nothing to hide just how much this had taken out of her. She bobbed her head with complete agreement, but she offered her some well-deserved encouragement, as she accepted the hand and pulled herself back up. "Soak in a tub for awhile... or stretch a little here and there. All else fails, you can stock up on bananas- I heard they're good for cramps."

The mere mention of bananas made the Tiger senshi a little hungry, but she forced the growling of her stomach back down, and she tried to not let the warm fuzzies take over. She had to appear tough and strong, right? "I'll do anything for a friend, even if it means putting aside my own personal training to help you out."

She placed a hand over Ida's and gave it a squeeze- a comforting and friendly one, before she pulled away. She felt accomplished today and that she had made a difference in her own court, and that, as well as gaining a new friend, was more than enough for Tsui to consider this day a successful day. "Thanks for letting me train you. If you need any help, give me a call. We'll definitely be meeting again."

And it was a promise. In this crazy world they lived in, it would be impossible not to meet again.
