"But mostly cos we're flying under the radar as it is," Harrison said. "Can do. They're down this street."
Palm trees lined the walk, and Harrison took Jordan's hand, knotting their fingers together.
"Kinda funny being out in civilization without a Godzilla attack and all guns blazing."

Rep leaned against Jordan just a bit. "I guess pretty pissed off~ I'm not a huge reader of phone books though." He kept forgetting that random acts of superhuman destruction would probably draw attention here. It was easy to forget when you were used to people destroying things like showers while you were in them. He didn't let go as they headed along, at least not at first.
"Don't jinx it." Rep commented as far as Godzilla went, he wasn't in the mood for fighting today, one of the rare days they got away from it.
It took about three passing people before Rep got anxious and then one person clearly staring too long for him to try and outright wriggle away from both of them to walk on his own.

"Well, it's not leisure reading," Jordan laughed, "but it is useful when you don't get your phone preloaded with everyone's number, you know?" He'd actually half-forgotten that normal people couldn't do that himself.
I'm useful, Ferros preened.
Always. "Let's not have any Godzilla attacks today," Jordan agreed. "I really do want to get that tattoo." He laced his fingers with Harrison's contentedly.
When Rep got skittish, he let go, but with a gentle brush of fingers across Rep's back before his hand dropped away.

"I been thinking about getting another one. Tattoos and s**t,"
Harrison got Rep's sleeve before he could wander too far, pulling him close and grinning, "I'm not too worried about jinxes. I got a good feeling about today~."
The air was warm, but the breeze coming off the ocean was cool.

Rep looked pleased, entirely taking credit for the entirety of the human history of tattooing. Clearly the only reason anyone would want a tattoo was to be more like him. Rather than like, actually just wanting one because they were amazing.
He gave up on panicking and feeling awkward as he was denied an escape, still slightly anxious but deciding ok, he didn't get to decide, held hostage by people again. He was kind of glad of it, Jordan's touch had been enough to leave him with a sad twinge of regret that he'd had to pull away.
"Everyone starts talking about good feelings I get really ******** worried okay." he didn't look too worried though. It was hard to be too dismal about the future when it probably held breakfast in it.

"Once in a while we can have a good day," Jordan said, and chuckled. "With no Godzilla involved. Hey, what about that one?" He indicated a fancy-looking hotel as it came into view, one with a restaurant attached; there were a few late-morning vacationers trickling out of the entrance towards their cars, chatty and self-involved, none of them giving the trio a second glance.

"Any place with eats," Harrison said, heading that direction compliantly, with Jordan's hand and Rep's arm hooked to his. He wasn't worried at all.
The lobby did, in fact, boast both a buffet and a made-to-order menu. There were an assortment of foods- pancakes, a waffle-maker with batter beside it, french toast, bagels, english muffins, bacon, country ham, eggs, bagels, oatmeal, nuts and spices, fruits, cereal, coffee, milks and juices. A chef was on stand-by at the omlette station.
Harrison untangled himself from the guys to pay for his own plate, and filled himself up a big glass of chocolate milk right off the bat.

Rep's eyes went wide as he took in the dazzling array of food, a lot of which he'd never even run into before. Not that that was going to stop him. He picked up two plates and piled them high with what ended up amounting to a little bit of everything, smothering his pancakes in syrup.
"Oh maaan." he purred.
He could have cried at how beautiful it all was, if he wasn't so busy making sure he could eat as much of it as possible, as soon as possible.

"Holy s**t, sometimes I forget there are buffets that don't suck," Jordan said, awed. He followed suit, loading up two plates with plenty of food and sliding into a padded booth. A waiter came by moments later to pour a cup of coffee.
Yep. Day started right.

The rest he piled, and piled, and piled, balancing the plates before shuffling an array of five stacked mounts of meat, egg, syrup, and breaded cakes down next to his milk and juice.
"Forgot what off-base food tastes like," he joked through a full cheek, inhaling three pancakes in a couple of bites and scraping the last syrupy, cakey bits from the plate with a fork before pulling over a plate of meat.
"Mmmf," he said, nearly in tears himself.

Rep sat down and for a short time, all replying ceased, all that mattered was food. Food, food and food and eating as much as he could in as short a time as possible. In his head Tracey also thrummed with approval, whether it was from the taste or from delight at the energy influx was anyone's guess. Only when he'd demolished the plates he'd piled high and downed three glasses of chocolate milk did he finally feel he had sufficient space to relax a bit.
"So ******** good."

Teenage beanpole metabolism had been nothing to Hunter metabolism, really, and by the third stack of pancakes the chef was eyeing Jordan with a mix of alarm and awe. Jordan grinned at the guy, thanked him, and wandered back to the table. "They're replacing the bacon again," he said as he sat back down.
