She faltered at the word "brother", lowering her plate of spookies slightly, only to lift them again when she realized her friend was still shirtless. Clearing her throat and attempting to look at dignified as she could, she turned to look at said brother, taking a step back to give a little bow of her head and a wag of her tail. "It's nice to meet you, Molan! Etzer mentioned you when we first met--I'm glad that you've decided to join us here at Amity!" Straightening up, she smiled and lifted her free hand to point upwards. "Should you have any questions or need any assistance, please feel free to visit me, okay? My room is just upstairs."

And now back to Etzer. Brows creasing in concern, she stooped down to gather up his discarded clothing. "Are you sure you're alright then, Etzer? ...And is there a reason you're stripping in the middle of the hallway?" Not that, er, there was necessarily anything wrong about doing it...it was just a little unusual was all.

At least his pants were still on.

Finally remembering what she had come down here for, the baku beamed and held the plate out to Etzer. "Ah, right! I baked some things this morning, and thought that I'd give you an official housewarming gift! I'll go back another batch as a welcome for you, Molan," A quick glance and smile over at the other Frost demon, "But perhaps the two of you can share this plate until I get another one done."

Yep, that quiet uttering said it all. Nail on the head. And the silent reply was even better. Xiu wouldn't have known what the slightly flick of his ears meant as he'd given her that smile. Just a happy gesture, right? Sadly, though, his brother didn't give him much to work with, just a basic intro. Where did that rather loose tongue of his go? He did offer a polite bow of his head and that ever so practiced smile his father had taught the to her before listening as she spoke.

Oh, good, something to use. Because honestly, he wasn't entirely sure where to start. Acting like his brother wasn't the best idea, but he... wasn't the best with people either. ...Etzer realized that apparently. Because he knew to keep his mouth shut, but thankfully Xiu didn't. Well, not a problem, he'd do his best to work with what he got.

Which was useful enough. Maybe.

"A pleasure as well, Miss Xiu." He replied, following his brother's cue with adding the bit before her name to be polite, his tone about as sweet as he could manage. Which was decent, he'd been trained for brief basic formalities. Even if nothing much beyond that."It's been a lovely, though I've only just arrived." He added, thinking back to all those 'darling' little parties and events. Right, he'd been couched on a little bit of small talk. And there was a point to this.

Getting back at Etzer.

He nodded at the comment, blinking a bit curiously at the 'upstairs.' He could imagine there might be many rooms? "Is there... a wing... or room specifically? I fear I'd be knocking on every door? But I will certainly keep your kind offer in mind." Yes, he was better at this that he'd thought. Though really smiling that much was beginning to tire him. He wasn't used to it.

And then the next comment, that he had to hold back a laugh, merely flicking his tail a bit and glancing at his brother with a smile. So someone else saw error with it to. "It's a hobby of his. For years. ...and year." Oh he'd told him to stop, now he couldn't take it back. "He's perfectly fine if not a bit sheepish for being caught." Another light flick of his tail as he cast a look at his sibling. Yes, he'd live through the night. His pride would just be a bit bruised.

And then there was mentions of little delicious home made delights. That explained that constant good smell and brought the tray she had back to mind. Oh what a lucky devil indeed, getting treats from the ghoul he liked. How spoiled. He shifted the clothes he'd collected to one hand, offering to take the few she had from her with a polite smile. "That was thoughtful of you, to be honest we're both still learning a bit of home cooking so it will be greatly welcomed." Right right, sweet words. That's how Etzer talked to people when he was trying to flirt, or something like that. He was talking to much in his opinion, he didn't even know her. Useless things. "I'm certain we can share, we were so lucky as to end up next to each other with our rooms even. It shouldn't be an issue. Thank you again."

Right, yes. Definitely. His face hurt a bit. How did people smile this much in such a short period of time? This was like one of those parties all over again.

Well he'd be done toying with his brother soon enough.

Etzer grew more sullen by the moment, gracefully taking a cookie and then shoving it in Molan's mouth. Just to shut him up.

"I have to strip when I get nosebleeds, helps me... cool off." He smiled, not at all ashamed about it. It was just a fact he had to live with - no clothes meant a cooler body temperature. "Also helps in the summer." Etzer gave her another smile, moving forward to take the plate off of Xiu's hands and take a bite of one.

Delicious.

"Thank you very much for the treat." He bowed his head. "Perhaps you'd like to-" Jack, she couldn't go in his room, he wasn't done with her outfit yet. He faltered, thinking a moment until he thought of something else. "I'm sure we could all eat lunch together? Someplace nice?"

My my, Molan certainly was polite, wasn't he? Then again, considering what Etzer had told her of their family, she supposed that she was not surprised by the formalities. "Please, just Xiu will do! We're all friends here--there's no need for titles." Or well, her mother and father would disagree, but neither of them were here, now were they?

She perked up when he asked for clarification, a sheepish grin spreading over her lips. "Er, yes, sorry about that! Room 268 is mine. Sometimes I leave the door slightly ajar while baking though--you'll know once you smell it."

Xiu turned to look back and forth between the two brothers at their explanations for Etzer's, er, habit of getting naked. Molan's explaination that it was a hobby alarmed her a little, but it all made more sense when Etzer cut in with his own two cents. Oh, well then, that was...acceptable, she supposed. It made looking at him a little difficult (or awkward, at least--she preferred for her friends to be fully clothed when she was talking to them) but at least he wasn't about to strip and go streaking down the hallways for no reason.

...So she hoped.

"Oh, no thanks needed! I'm always willing to share." Xiu lifted a hand and waved it in a dismissive manner, only to pause in surprise at the sudden invitation. "Ah, no, it's okay! I don't want to intrude on your brotherly time!" She had only told her minipets that she would be a moment, after all, and--

...Wait a minute, did she lock her door? Momentarily distracted, the ghoul frowned as she turned a cast a glance over her shoulder.

Seeing Xiu look away, Etzer took the moment and grabbed Molan around his neck, arm clamping around it while his ears slid over Molan's ears.

"Another word," He whispered, "and I'll pinch your ears. Yes, I like her. No, she's not like any other ghoul. Shut it."

He slid his arm around Molan's shoulders, plastering on a grin of good cheer so Xiu wouldn't think they were fighting. Brothers? Fighting? No way!

"Not at all! Molan needs to meet new people, so it's always good to ... meet them. Why don't you hang out with us?"

And there went Etzer covering up all the fun again and keeping it from being as utterly embarrassing as he was trying to make this conversation. Purely in revenge, there was no other side effect of this. Okay, well there was a small bit of personal joy in watching his favourite younger sibling squirm a bit at his crush, because it was painfully obviously, find out some little tidbits from dear older brother. Who knew too much.

And obviously the frost demon knew it, because as he opened his mouth to speak up again a cookie was shoved in to silence him, and keep it as such. He did shut his mouth, properly quieted for the the second as he contemplated if he was upset about that. Because actually, this Xiu ghoul was a really good cook. He wouldn't mind occasionally getting snacks from her. Actually, he'd forgive him. Worthwhile trade for a cookie for brief silence. But it was only temporary until he finished chewing the thing and swallowed it. Then it was back to where he was, which was...a pleasant smile to thank her.

"Oh, I see. Well if everything you make is this delicious I'm sure it really will be easy to find." Had he just quoted Etzer from somewhere... probably. Too late.

And then she was invited over to go with them, and the look Etzer got as Molan realized he'd just avoided mentioning his room. Had. He. Trashed. It. Already? REALLY? ....they talked about keeping it clean before he left. That judging look was probably what set Xiu thinking she was 'intruding' even if it had nothing to do with anyway else.

And then the ghoul looked off just a moment and he found himself in a headlock, listening to his brother whisper rather crossly with him. Wasn't that the same sap one heard in every flick? Oh dear, he'd been let out of the house and fallen for the first thing that could bat a lash? ...not that she didn't seem nice. But that quickly? His voice was equally hushed as he looked back over at his sibling, obviously far more amused. Afterall, he was the one with leverage of sorts. "It's been two months, really?" No, honestly, he was a bit cranky. His brother had gone and fallen head over heels for something in such a short time. He was getting replaced just like that, even if it was different, it was still the same.

Years and years of misadventures and trying to act out more than one of those choose your own adventure novels, and something pretty shows up and he got replaced. No wonder he'd been upset to see him. "You know. I could make this rea-" And she was turning around, so Etzer's posture switched back before he had a chance to finish, giving his brother a light look at the pats.

Fine, he was done playing the two people can hit on the ghoul game, he didn't feel like faking a smile anyway. He'd ruin it some other way then, prove she wasn't as good or something maybe. Or that she just didn't put up with the real him and he had to fake it to get along with her. Something like that.

He didn't have a reason to lash out at the moment, but that oh so polite smile was gone and instead his more stoic flat expression had taken over as Etzer spoke. Really? He was using him as an excuse to flirt. "I suppose if your room is a mess, mine is clean. I unpacked to. We can go there if you'd prefer." Etzer would probably recognize the flat tone as being annoyed, since usually he did try to sound a little pleased, even if he didn't care much. Nope, it was a pseudo war.

Kanth
But that's why he needs his own friends so he won't bother his brother.

Kaiyumi
It is no longer embarrass little brother, it is now 'prove' Xiu won't like him so Etzer gives up time. He's possessive of his 'things' which includes people he gets along with. Moreso than most physical things(minus bells.)

Xiu had obviously not noticed the exchange, as when she turned back, the pleasant smile was still on her face. It did, however, falter a bit when she noticed the faint change in Molan's expression, and she cocked her head to the side. "It's kind of you to offer, but...are you certain I wouldn't be intruding?" Her gaze flickered between the brothers, and she let out a thoughtful hum when Molan offered up his room.

"Are you certain? I mean, you just moved in, and I'd feel like I'm intruding more than I already am..." She frowned, lifting a hand and cupping her cheek, "So...well, if it's lunch, I don't mind having you two come up to my room. I was just about to start cooking anyways." Free meals were nice, right? And the baku was always pleased for any excuse to cook for others, so it was a bonus for her too.

That, and judging by the missing smile from Molan's face, she couldn't help but be a little concerned that it was the thought of having to invite a near-stranger into his room that had wiped it from his face. Dorm rooms were especially personal spaces for some people, after all!

"Molan," Etzer muttered under his breath, sighing as he looked away. "If you keep her entertained for ten minutes, I'll be right back. I'm sorry I touched your bell, and I won't touch it again." ... he didn't say any other bells, but he knew he wasn't going to touch any of them anytime soon.

"Miss Xiu, I will be right back." Taking his clothes gently from Molan's arm, he gave his brother a meaningful look before retreating back into his room.

Had he lost his touch at his displeased face? Perhaps, he'd check it later. It... didn't seem to work. Like, she seemed unsure, but... but.... why was she being nice and friendly, and? People people, to him, registered a challenge. They saw it as what it was. Picking a fight of wills or some such, but here she seemed rather concerned and almost bothered he was even displeased with her presence? She'd completely dropped the challenge, which made his brother's statement that he was going and... wanting him to keep her busy worse?

Wait, what did he do NOW? Etzer was leaving him alone right now, right when he had failed to properly explain with a look that this was a now a fight over-

Oh bother. too late. There he went.

Pale blue eyes shifted back tot he rather polite, and remarkably cute ghoul who seemed clueless to his moods after a moment. "...he is... getting something." There was a pause and he tilted his head to one side, toying with one of his sleeves, not sure what to do with a ghoul who didn't know how to figure out his moods at a glance. "He said ten minutes." Right. Good, good start that was... pleasant enough.

He wouldn't fight with her, after all. Promises were promises. He'd leave at least one of them alone for a good while, good enough for now. He toyed with the bell that had been stolen earlier before sighing. Normal conversation, what did he know. "So... you like cooking?" Yep, get her talking then he could just smile, nod and let it go from there.

Ghouls liked talking about themselves, right?

"Oh?" She looked startled when Etzer suddenly excused himself, instinctively lifting a hand as if to ask him to wait. However, after a moment of thought, she simply let it drop and gave a little shake of her head. He said he'd be back shortly anyways, and despite her slight anxiety, Molan seemed like a pleasant boil.

So, she simply smiled and nodded as he disappeared off somewhere, turning her full attention onto the remaining brother. At the question, she nodded enthusiastically and gave a little wag of her tail. "Yes, very much so! My friend and I have plans to open up a cafe after we graduate, in fact." Smiling, she cocked her head to the side as she regarded the boil, "What about you? Do you have any particular hobbies? Or, um--any particular foods you like?"

She thought it only polite to return the inquiry with one of her own. That, and she really did like getting to know new people. What better way than to converse with them for some time?

She'd had about as much luck as he did with his brother. Well, at least it was proven. No one could control Etzer. He did what he wanted, and when. So yep, that left them at this. It was perfectly fine really, he could entertain someone for ten minutes. He'd done it before, this was well within his skills.

And thankfully she made it easier by taking the bait, full hook, line, and sinker. Rather enthusiastically. Hmm an actual job with it. That was a curious thought really. He hadn't taken much thought to what he wanted to do for a job. Maybe follow in his father's footsteps? Apparently he was serious enough for it, but that meant a lot more people and socializing than he liked. Besides, as per their father, that was to be Etzer's duty. He was technically free to do what he wanted.

In truth, her question was a bit troubling. Not the food part, he wasn't picky. Anything well prepared worked. But rare treats and things, such as cookies, were always a favourite. For someone already a bit spoiled, home made things specially made just for him were actually well... special. Because it wasn't just a chef making it because they were paid. He wasn't used to homecooked things made by family. They were usually too busy. So, the answer was easy enough as long as he dodged the beginning. Anything home... made." Chefs were good, but you could tell it was just a professional doing their job. Again. And again. And again.

Call him sentimental but there wasn't any love in the world. Which is why her cookie was actually a bit more appreciated. ...she was still a source of evil though. She was going to take his brother away, nice or not. And actually, perhaps, now that he thought about it, wasn't just nipping it in the bud the best?

If she said no then Etzer might be angry, but he'd get over it. They both always did. So a simple solution was to bring it up, he'd never been told not to. He flicked his tail a few times, musing before offering a small smile to the ghoul, obviously distracting her from the previously half ignored question. "So, you know. My brother. He really like you, a lot. Right?" Right. Just ending his brother's happy little existence for the last few months in a matter of minutes. That took a real master.

Now this was nice, wasn't it? A pleasant chat with a potential new friend--always a fine way to spend a day, and as much as she enjoyed reading, it definitely beat her previous plans of finishing off that mediocre novel she had sitting in her dorm room. Perking up at his answer, she let out a laugh and linked her hands together behind her back. "I'll be certain to keep that in mind, then! I always make a lot of food, so I can always deliver some to you and Etzer if your hungry." It gave her to perfect excuse to cook fancier meals than the plain ones that she made herself too.

That, and with Scarentines coming up, it meant that the baku was most definitely going to bake way too many Scarentine-themed desserts. The more people she had to share them with, the better.

Considering the current topic of conversation, Xiu expected for them to carry on about food, or at least, something that was relevant. Hobbies? Their desired jobs after graduating? Their conversation had left room to lead into a wide array of various topics to choose from, so when Molan suddenly turned the topic onto Etzer...

...And not just about Etzer, but something that seemed to concern her as well. There was a moment of silence as she blinked at him blankly, struggling to take in his words...and then her face immediately flooded with warmth. "I--what? Molan, I'm not so certain that--...w-what?" Just what kind of "like" were they talking about here? She liked to think that she wasn't quite as naive after past fiascos though, a thought that only made her cheeks redder.

Now just what was she supposed to say about that?

"Okay, I believe I've made all the necessary modifications." Etzer stated, fully clothed again as he exited his room. Shutting the door gently behind him, the frost demon carried out a medium sized package, holding it out for Xiu to take.

He was completely oblivious to the earlier conversation that took place.

"Call it an early Scarentines gift." He winked at her, then turned to Molan, his cheery mood back. "You still hungry? Xiu offered to cook, and if you think her cookies are good, wait until you try the main course." No, that wasn't a euphanism, though with Etzer it easily could be.

He smiled at Xiu again, waiting for her to open the package. The rest of the cookies on the plate he'd taken to his room, fully guilty for hoarding them all to himself. He might share with his brother later.

If he asked nicely.

"Keep in mind that I don't just make these on a whim for people." Etzer teased Xiu, a bit flirtatious. If only he knew what Molan had done...

A conversation continuing on along the lines of foods, snacks, and if she insisted going on about it futures was probably a better idea. A wiser idea. One that wouldn't end up with his brother angry, or not talking to him for a while. Right after he'd gotten to school, but it was too late. He'd already said it, and that reddish hue to her face suggested she god it. To some degree anyway. Excellent, something had sunk it. "That like." He added, not liking to say more than he had to. The tone should have been enough to cement in what he meant. Not friends, ohhhh no. The scaretines like-like.

And as if magically on cue, because maybe Molan had timed out the minutes in his head. (He wasn't that clever. Probably.) Etzer decided that moment was a good to time show up, bearing a cute little present of sorts all wrapped up. Oh, this really was too perfect. Even the great suffering beings couldn't have timed it more perfectly.

And he was really just trying to put a damper on the ghoul potentially running off with his brother. Really. That was his only goal, he didn't like the idea of someone he didn't even know taking away the only person he understood, or really understood him. That was fair enough, right? He toyed with his options a bit at that point, listening with a small, knowing smile on his face as Etzer babbled about lunch before giving Xiu a look that said 'told you so.' Well, she might not have been able to read it, it was mostly a faint smile and his ears tweaking just so, but his brother would have known it. Maybe he'd realize, maybe not.

"If... Xiu would still like our company." He commented, watching her quietly. Eyes studying for something more of a reaction since Etzer's return. After all, the proverbial cat was out of the bag. "What would you prefer?" Look, he was even being polite again. After all, threat dealt with. Perfect.

Xiu was barely even given any time to fully process this whole situation when the topic of their conversation returned with...a package in hand? The baku's gaze flickered to the object that was being held out to her, her face flushed as she hesitantly reached out to take it. Still, she managed to offer the boil a small, embarrassed smile. "Geez, Etzer, what is this? You really shouldn't have."

If possible, her face turned even redder when he said that he didn't make these for anyone, a clear indication that something was amiss. However, she knew better than to skitter away like a frightened ghoul. Natural, that was how she needed to act. Clearing her throat, she turned to smile at the pair of brothers and give a small nod of her head. "Um, well. I have...no problem with your company. Should you two still like to eat lunch with me, I would be more than happy to cook for both of you."

Was she pulling it off, she wondered? At the very least, her voice was even, but her face...

She probably looked like a tomato right now. Or a lobster. In either case, the baku couldn't help but lift a hand and fan at her face in an attempt to cool it down. She then turned her attention back to the gift from Etzer, glancing at it almost shyly before she finally moved to open it. "You really didn't have to make me anything, you know. Might this have to do with you asking me what size I wore the other day?"
