Lightning struck again and the ever darkening skys light up with light. In that flash you could see the horrified shock in the cubs face as the lioness moved away leaving her open to whatever dangers lay ahead. Her jaw hung loosly open as she tried to catch her breath still. She was in quite a spot, like one she had never been in before. She looked at the ground, her ears still folded and closed her mouth. It made her angry that they would do that to a cub like her. She was a nice cub wasn't she? Suddenly as she stared at the ground a smooth line of red shot before her... blood.
Then everything happened fast. With a horrifing hiss the snake came fling at her and the other lioness. Snaping with it's huge fangs as it landed on the ground. It was angry. Knowing that in it's state it couldn't go fast, she darted away now in silent tears. She knew crying out wouldn't help as the rolling roar of the thunder clouds was getting larger as the storm neared. The cub stopped within watching distance a ways away. Maybe if they wouldn't help her, she could help them.

Stepping back another step, Palesa found herself letting out her own soft hiss before she watched the snake land. Darting foward, she extended her claws and took one slash at the struggling creature. Setting it out of its misery, she flicked her eyes back towards the god.
"You're charming." She purred out in a mocking manor before glancing back towards the disappearing cub. Turning away from her as well, Palesa just starred at the now still creature and glanced away after a long silence, "So who are you?" She finally asked out, ready to figure out just who the god was and where he had come from.

Tanaka cackled viciously as the cub fled, the serpent having had the desired effected. His mood have improved then had his attention not been snapped back to the lioness. She was really grating on his nerves, and he'd had about enough of it.
He held no reguard for the serpent and he couldn't have cared less that she had killed it. Though he may have been a bit disappointed that it hadn't struck her beforehand.
When he finally spoke, his voice was a low growl, "If I wanted you to know that, I'd have told you already."

She eyed him a moment with his responce before chuckling to herself and thinking up a name for him instead. Being annoyed herself with how he was acting, she got the perfect name, and after a second spoke up to him with a knowing grin.
"Than I shall pick one for you. You will be called Chukizo, in honor of your...humor." Saying the last word with a purr, she could not hold it in any longer and started to chuckle some more, turning her head away to hide her smirk before she finally contained herself.

Tanaka barely raised a brow at her words. At this point he couldn't have cared less. He didn't give a damn what the stupid lioness called him so long as he never had to see her again. But it was only fair to return the favor.
"Then your name must be Kuso, because you're full of it."
Had she asked 'what's your name?' instead of 'who are you?' he might have been more inclined to answer. But then again...no, he wouldn't have answered that either, not to her.

"Ah, but you have only just met me..." she whispered softly to him, eyes glimmering with amusement as he seemed to keep her day going. It had become some sort of a game, and had she thought about it and who she was playing with, she might have stopped long ago. However, that seemed to not be the case anymore as she continued her way, unknowing of the grave she was digging herself into.
"Tell me, Chu, what is so amazing about these lands?" By than, she figured he would give her a snide remark, but this once she was not making any sort of joke, or anything of that matter. Instead, her eyes had darkened to just gaze out towards the distance, mind wondering where she just was in the world.

"I could say the same thing of you."
There was a flicker in his eye, something that might have been dangerous. It would have been so easy to just charge her, to silence her smart mouth. But he wasn't interested in playing her game, there was just no point in it, nor would it have given him any satisfaction.
"Why don't you look and find out for yourself."
It wasn't a question, it was a statement. He really didn't care about the lands, he was here because of Kiuma, it wasn't the destination that had brought him here, but the journey itself.

The cub stopped a distance away and sat down. Her golden eyes still glazed over with tears as studied the seemingly heartless ones before her. There didn't seem to be much difference between them dispite what they may think. Her violent with words and him with claws and fangs. She sighed and shook her head, with a growing anger and feeling of helplessness. What could she do, to show them that... What is it that she would even want to show them? Not like they would listen to a cub like her anyway! She flopped down onto her stomach again letting a cloud of dust rise into the air. The land really needed that rain and it couldn't have been far away now.
Suddenly the grass in front of her quivered, then a somewhat large rodent ran out from hiding. Quickly the cub stood and chased after it. I started running again in the direction of the two lions. Luckily with a pounce, she caught it before it reached them. It stirred the dusty ground and again a dusty cloud formed around her. The small creature let out a short squeal as it laid under her paws before finally laying still. With both paws still over her dinner she looked out at the two lions hoping they didn't hear or see her. If they did her dinner could easily become their afternoon snack.

Looking to him with silence, she decided to keep with her actions, and let out a soft sigh soon after.
"Alright, I shall keep that advice in mind." Saying nothing after that, her eyes stretched across the spance of land before she decided the conversation was all but over between them. Moving up to her paws, she turned her back to him with no real attempt to protect herself, and started to pad away with the winds once more ruffling up her spine. Of course, it directed her towards the cub, but she passed by the child without a second glance.

Tanaka's lips parted in a snarl, tail flicking behind him to show his annoyance with the whole encounter. It would have been so easy to to take her while her back was turned, so easy to permanently end the annoyance there, but Tanaka wasn't interested. It might have even been what she wanted, but he wasn't in the mood to give her the satisfaction. She was gone, and he would never have to see her again, that was more than enough for him.
Turning he walked on, continuing his path to other parts of the lands, most likely back toward Kiuma, he'd rather be with her anyways. As he passed the cub he turned and growled, jaws parting to bear fangs, extended talons digging into the earth. But it was simply meant to frighten her, and he continued past without sparing another thought.

The cub watched as the lioness leave and the male walk right past her. She crouched down and closed her eyes tightly hoping that would somehow hide her from him as he growled and walked on. Slowly opening her eyes and looking around she noticed they were both gone. For the best it had seemed. She had learned that looks can be deceiving and for a rouge cub it was a lesson not often taught without dire consequences. Never did she want to run into those two again but if she ever did she knew she would give them a silent Thank you...
