Tony was not surprised to hear it. Dogby had a way of winning everyone's heart, and getting as much food out of them as she could along the way. Be it treats or parts of meals people brought in to the library, she was there, and she could always target the right people for it. It was probably why she was a little poly now, though Tony did his best to take her on regular walks and played games with her to keep her fit and healthy.
It was like she was cheating on her diet behind his back.
"Oh, you're right down the street!" Tony laughed, "that's a relief, she hasn't gotten very far on those stumpy little legs of hers. I'll come over and pick her up! Thank you so much for taking care of her!"
He looked around and realized he was already very close to her house. In fact, it was a very short time later, even before they had hung up, that he was knocking on her door. But that was weird, even for him, and he was painfully awkward with fair regularity.
"Ah. I'm at the door," he said sheepishly. "I was... already out looking for... well, uhm. Well." He blushed and was glad the door wasn't open yet. Dogby, for her part, was delighted, if not a bit confused, by her new bow. She danced on her forepaws, shifting from side to side, her big tongue lulling out the side of her mouth.

Evalia watched the happy little dog to her dance, with her happy puppy smile, which in turn made her smile. " Oh well, welcome to the block, neighbor! " She said, chuckling " I'll be honest, when I first say her through the fence I thought she was a big rabbit. "
She had just reached down the give the corgi another friendly scratch when he said he was at the door. Having been sitting on the floor right in the living room, she looked at the front door, and surely enough she saw a brown haired upper half of someones head through the little glass window of the door. She giggles quietly, getting to her feet and opening the door. " Hello, New neighbor, nice to meet you! I believe I have something of yours "
She was still talking into the phone.

"Ah, yes, you do," he said into the phone, then noticed what he was doing and hung up. He tried not to look as stupid as he felt, but there was no avoiding it. He looked at her and smiled when he saw Dogby running up between her legs. He grinned at her, noting the bow.
"Did you give her that? She looks like she likes it quite a lot."
Since she wasn't shaking her head or trying to pull it off, he had to assume she was happy to have it on. He rubbed the back of his neck, looking at Evalia.
"I'm very sorry if she was getting under foot, or trying to steal any of your food. I'm very thankful that you managed to find her, though, and keep her out of any trouble. She has a habit of running off, and I would have hated if anything happened to her. You've spared me a lot of fretting, pacing, and hair pulling."
His own hair, obviously. His wife would be safe. Dogby yipped and ran over to him, pawing at his leg and he stooped to pick her up. She acted very innocent in all this, like this little outing had all been arranged and she had no reason to fear being in trouble.

Evalia grinned, watching the little pooch run over to her papa " Aaah well, I had some extra lace and I thought the color looked good on her. I hope you don't mind ' She said said with another smile, feeling a little self conscious. She often forgot most people didn't feel the need to slather everything they wore with lace and frill, and so probably just didn't have random lace ribbons laying around.
" Oh no that's quite alright! I rather enjoyed her company. I don't have any pets unless you count a temperamental rabbit interloper who refuses to leave. Now that I know you live in the neighborhood I'll just keep an eye out if I see a short little dog trying to make a get-away. " The house in all actuality belonged to her father, but he was gone mroe often then not on business, having Dogby's little impromptu visit was the first time she had had company in her home in several weeks.
She would really try to not think about that, because it was just a testament to how... things... had derailed her social life.
" Well anyway, I'm glad I could save you from some hair-pulling! Heck if you ever need a puppy-sitter you can always call me up, you have my number now " She grinned, nodding her head towards his cell phone. And she was sincere in her offer.

Dogby looked very happy to be with Tony, crawling up his chest with her front paws and licking at the underside of his chin. He laughed as she nuzzled him, knowing she was just being cute so she did not get in trouble for running off and eating other food than her dinner. She knew when she did things that were naughty.
But she also knew she was cute enough to get out of trouble.
"You can come over and visit her any time you like, of course. She loves making new friends, and it seems as though she very much enjoyed her time here." He chuckled and shook his head, finding it impossible to be mad, and he was very thankful that she had taken care of Dogby and helped him to find her.
"I appreciate the offer of a dog sitter, too! I might take you up on it some time," he laughed, having no idea that his dog troubles would double in the near future. "and thank you again." He would definitely bring her a thank you present of some kind, once he talked to Kyndall about it. She was better at that kind of stuff. Tony smiled again and then moved to head back to his house, corgi in tow.
