Ah yes, a boxer's footwork was a great ally in itself. Ryker had forgotten about such things, which still meant that he had alot to learn. However, he considered his knowledge of his own fighting techniques in ample supply, at least enough to defeat the opponent before him. He noticed that as he struck the strikes out, Chase was closing the gap and it was soon turning into literally an almost chest to chest fist fight, but Ryker had to switch tactics quickly, for Chase realized that one of the strikes was about to hit, so she rushed forward in what it looked like a grabbing motion. Call it instinctual, but Ryker stopped his own strike and reverted to a quick low kick at Chase's head as she attempted to come from under. The kick wasn't meant for damage, only stopping power and the creation of distance between the two combatants. His hands retracted back to their original center line state in preparation for any other counter that Chase might have for his own (which was the kick). Ryker determined that even if he was grappled, there would be a few good tricks to get out of it, but he had rather keep the flow of the battle going than have it stop for a short while. Being trapped in a subdued state while the opponent creates ample time to regain some energy wasn't necessarily Ryker's definition of a good fight. He had to control the battlefield.

All the while to user moves forward with their punches to blast the opponent off balance and finally send them to the ground with the final blow.This technique can also be linked up well with a close ranged kicking maneuver immediately afterwards

Level: 1| Main Style| Energy: 300/350| Tomboyish Daughter| Current Track: Gain Momentum███████████████████████████████████████████████ Chase had a way of going about this since Ryker had already switched to a kick while she was attempting her grapple. With the way Ryker's leg came up from this distance...she should've been able to wrap her arms around his leg. If that was possible, she'd drop to the ground and tweak his leg to the side with as much force as possible without damaging Ryker's knee to badly. Chase had a clear target as to where she wanted him to land, too. Getting him to land on his own bed wouldn't hurt him, but the floor was the alternative, and that wouldn't hurt him much either. It honestly didn't matter where he landed, as long as Chase was able to keep control here. If everything had followed through the way she expected it to, she'd be able to wrap her own legs around his one, and put it in a position for the knee to be broken. Lastly came applying pressure to the point in question, if she put him in enough pain to yield, she'd count this as her first win on the island. Of course, if everything failed from the very start, Chase would be able to take the strike to the head by turning it to the side with the impact, reducing the already miniscule damage and allowing her to continue her charge forward while she was low to the ground. If this was what she had to do instead, she slam him up against the wall with a shoulder tackle before letting loose again. No, this was not boxing, but Chase broke every rule, even her own rules.

A look of displeasure crossed Ryker's face as it became apparent of what she was about to do. Giving her a leg would be even worse than the waist because a leg can be easily used to cause pain. A rather odd and unorthodox technique for a boxer, that suggested that she uses rather a mix of styles rather than just one. Could this be wrestling? Ryker had no time to figure it out, as her arms wrapped around his leg. He had to think quick and immediately he quickly did the only thing that crossed his mind. Though whether he would win or lose in this fight, it didn't matter in the face of the notion that Ryker would regret pulling off this move since it most likely caused property damage. Still, the fact that he pulled off his most powerful ability at his disposal proved that Ryker was enjoying the fight, and maybe even getting a little carried away. Before Chase could even begin to do what she had planned, she would find herself flying through the air, as Ryker threw both of them into a ki fueled lunge. The ability was so fast that if Chase looked closely, she might be able to see 3 after images of Ryker left behind as they flew through the air. Ryker had done this move before, and calculated that the max distance of the lunge would be a total of 15ft. That was roughly the size of a small room, their room. Considering they were in the middle of the room, that cut the disatnce between her and the wall by half, putting the distance between 7-8ft. It would all happen in a instant because of that distance, and Chase would find herself crashing back first into the room wall, the wall shaking from the impact with a small amount of dusty debris falling from the ceiling, and with her pinned there by pressure being exerted by Ryker's leg and with her arms still wrapped around Ryker's legs, Ryker immediately burst into another straight blast, all 4 machine gun like strikes aimed directly at different parts of her head, followed up with a good elbow strike to knock her out, in all probability knocking her out, ending their little sparring match. Since not only would she be stunned briefly by the crash, but she was very much wide open with her arms wrapped around his legs, and since she was pinned, she wouldn't be able to use shuffle to dodge either. The way Ryker had used the environment to his advantage would leave Chase with not that many options.

Lunge Punch

Description: A fast advancing move where the user lunges up to 15ft into an opponent's space and strikes them with a straight punch to the face, sending them tumbling back. Ki propels the user so fast that there appears to be 3 after images behind him, and if this is the only skill used in the post then the user can lunge into the opponent before they can counter (only against lower level opponents). Three post cool down.

Level: 1| Main Style| Energy: 325/350| Tomboyish Daughter| Current Track: Gain Momentum███████████████████████████████████████████████ Chase blinked not knowing what was going on at the moment, she noticed a second later that she had her back against a wall, and a knee holding her down. In classic Chase fashion, she refused to be defeated. If Ryker listened, he'd hear Chase growl in frustration, her anger caused her to take the stun and get through it faster, and due to her refusal to be defeated, she even seemed to work a bit faster with strength she'd yet to show. She was already leaning herself to the right as soon as she hit the wall, taking Ryker with her. Her falling to the side save her from one or two strikes, but she had to turn her head to the side and take the strikes in the jaw in order to stay up. She was down for now, but not out! Before Ryker could strike hard enough to knock her out, Chase posted up with her hips, sending Ryker forward. He'd have to use his hands to catch himself on the ground, otherwise he could end up looking quite inexperienced by allowing his face to hit the ground instead. As per her training, while he was catching himself, she took the chance to roll him over until his back hit the ground. From the position she should've been able to achieve, she sat on her knees, but refused to move from this spot, just to keep Ryker from standing up again. If this worked the way she predicted, she quickly placed her hands on his abdomen before pushing up and slamming her palms in to his chin. The blow would cause the back of his head to hit the floor, it wouldn't do much damage, but it may stun him. She then, if everything worked as she saw it in her head, would spread her arms out and hold Ryker's down at the bicep, effectively stopping the movement of his legs by resting where his guard should be, and stopping the movement of his arms by overpowering him.

Ryker was rather astounded by the tenacity of this girl. What he was able to accomplish right there would take out most individuals, but she responded with a burst of strength that would attempt to take Ryker down with her as she fell. This was bad, Ryker was not amply equipped to deal with grapples, his master had taught them to avoid grapples using certain techniques. Wing Chun was not built to deal with such fighting styles, but at the very least, his old master had taught him common sense in fighting. What he had to do now was immediately take away her leverage of his body, and pulling away like he instinctively wanted to was the worse possible thing to do. Instead he did the opposite, Chase may have had his leg but he still had his arms. Using as much force as he could muster while still in the middle of his combo, Ryker tried to pull his leg that was ahold of Chase, and at the same time he brought himself skin to skin. chest to chest, head to head with Chase wrapping both arms around her neck. Now that he was so close, Chase had no choice but to deal with Ryker's opposing force. With his body so close, and with her arms still wrapped around his leg, there was little she would be able to do to force him off. In the process of the fall or whatever Chase was planning to do, Ryker took one for the body so to speak and began to repeatedly headbutt her in the temple. The objective was to remove the desire to keep ahold of his leg. For Ryker didn't let up, no matter how painful it was going to get, he repeatedly attempted to bang his head against hers until she let go of his legs and shoved him away. Because Ryker had his hands around her neck, and with her arms still wrapped around Ryker's leg, there wouldn't be much she could do save for maybe rolling around but that would only bring Ryker with her in the position she and Ryker currently put themselves in.

She'd have to think of a way to get him to stop moving...so she left go of his leg with one arm, but the other hooked even tighter around his leg. Chase turned her head and took the next strike to the forehead before bringing her arm through the hole left by Ryker since he wrapped his arms around her neck. As he came down again, Chase caught him by the mouth and crossed her arm over the back of his neck, pressing down with enough force to keep him from moving his head again. "Okay, smart one...what now?" Chase thought fast, she needed to make sure she wasn't below him, since she couldn't attack from there. Chase pulled Ryker's leg closer to the top of her body in order to make it easier to flip Ryker. She attempted to put him on his back once more, and if it worked, she could bring her last arm through Ryker's and press down on his neck for a blood-choke. A few seconds should be enough to knock him out.

Ryker admitted she was rather good at adapting to the situation in her own special kind of way. Though what happened in the following seconds, Ryker didn't very much appreciate. A kiss was a cheap and dirty trick, which made the fight all the more concerning since this girl was willing to stoop so low in order to pull out a win. Ryker however was not only un-amused, he was unphased and kept his focus through it all. While it was true that in the position that he was in, he could no longer headbutt, Chase sacrificed an arm to do so. It wasn't both, but it was good enough. The situation was also helped due to the fact that Chase was ever so kind enough to pull his leg in further, which pretty much set his leg up like a spring that was coiled. All the while this was happening, Ryker also worked up his other good leg up to Chase's waist, as close as he could get to make both legs parallel to each other. So while Chase was trying to get on top of him, Ryker waited for the right moment to unleash his coiled legs, and once he realized they had rolled to the side, BAM! Ryker would exert all his lower body strength towards Chase, effectively pushing him away from her despite her arm around his neck. It didn't matter all that much, the human legs were several times stronger than the human arm so in terms of strength, there would be enough to create distance despite the resistance. So as he pushed away and freed his arms, he grabbed ahold of a nearby bed pole and used it as leverage to get his own free leg standing back up on the ground. Now Ryker would have the high ground again as he stood on one leg while Chase would still probably have the other, despite the push away. Still, he was in a better position than he was before and he now had multiple ways of going about freeing his leg, while Chase was still on the ground.

She'd seen his fighting style, and unless he was standing up, she had the advantage. Of course, Chase's fighting style required standing up, but she didn't like following rules, she'd fight on any front at any time. Chase made sure to tighten her arm that still held on to Ryker's. It didn't take long for her to adjust and strike at Ryker's knee with a ki enhanced Cannon. It should cause his leg to collapse on itself, and that damage should end this battle.

As Ryker and Chase were fighting, they might have heard the ever growing sound of something roaring. As Chase was about to attack Ryker's knee, their very own room window gave way as 2 monstrous, faceless demons with pure oily black skin, large wings and claws tumbled forth. They made no effort to pause, and they came straight for the subdued fighters.

By time the beasts broke through, Chase had already let go of his leg, but she couldn't stand up...at best, she was able to turn her body to try to meet the monster that came her way. "Tch, loser." Chase remarked as she rested on her elbow before shooting her leg out at the monster's face. The force of the blow should have been enough to stun it, and that'd give her time to stand up. "Hey, Ryker! Having fun?" Chase had a nice smile plastered on her face, but she was frightened...she hated monster stories, ghost stories...anything that was remotely creepy. ███████████████████████████████████████████████

Ryker didn't have to think about whether to attack these intruders or not, they looked problematic enough, so when Chase asked the question on whether he was having fun or not, he responded with, "LOADS"! As soon he said that he made a string and extremely fast punches towards the head of the Gaunt, stunning it further, since Chase had just kicked it. But Ryker wasn't done, after it was stunned, Ryker got low and ran into the Gaunt carrying it towards the window, and dropping it out into the air. Ryker watched as the fall was long enough to kill it, and turned his attention back to the remaining Gaunt.

The remaining Gaunt charged towards Chase, making no expression of sadness or worry that it's brother just got killed. It mindlessly charged towards Chase, swinging at her randomly with it's claws, attempting to make large gashes.

As the creature came towards her, she spun in to its range and slammed her back against it, probably stunning it for a second if it didn't have some kind of block, and that was all she needed. She turned back around and attempted to wrap her arm around one of the creature's arms, just to hold it in place. "Let's see you fly!" Chase exclaimed before bringing up right free hand to its chin, probably stunning it some more. The act of holding it would keep it from flying it to the air. She wasn't done yet, though. She brought her fist back and pumped up with it again, and again, most likely weakening the beasts neck to the point of breaking with just one more hit. If everything went as planned, she'd release its arm and bring her hand back as far as it would go. "Goodbye!" She'd yell as one more hit should break its neck and send it barreling out of the destroyed window. If she killed it she'd turn towards Ryker, shaking a little bit. "Ha...w-we make quite the team!" Chase attempted to sound confident, but her shaking voice betrayed her fear and confusion. Punish (X4) Rank: D Description: A powerful uppercut. The skill itself may look simple, but it has enough force to stagger all but the strongest foes. If this skill connects with the enemy's chin, it sends them flying with the force of a C-Rank attack. ███████████████████████████████████████████████

Ryker was about to help Chase, but stopped halfway when he realized she had it handled. It looked like she had the same idea as him, and tossed the dead Gaunt out of the window. Walking over to the window, he simply nodded to Chase's question about them being a good team. It was clear she was afraid due to her voice, so was Ryker, but he was alot more calm about it, even in the face of what he saw outside the window. The sky was riddled with demons, and various students and faculty scurried about as Demons dived down and tried to swoop them up. "It looks like we aren't the only ones having the monster issues", he would say calmly.
