"Over there." the girl pointed up higher, close to the cliff. When one tried to look at it, they got headaches and had to look away. "I think what we saw up there is getting active."

I tried to look at the cliff where Ayako pointed out to me but I got a developing headache when I tried to. So I had to look away. I grunted in pain when the headache started to bother me. "Damn, is this one of those times when I had to use my supernatural sight to see whatever you're trying to show me?" I asked Ayako while holding my left hand over my left eye--the one that held the abilities to see the supernatural.
Although I hate using my so-called sight, I usually used it only when it's related to my job. I don't hate my job, but that doesn't mean I like it either. How I got the job as a supernatural detective? That's another story.

I concentrated my supernatural vision towards the cliff where Ayako last pointed at. Then, I saw it. The apparition. I blinked again but it was gone. I focused again on the spot where I last saw it but it's not coming back. "I saw it...but it's not coming back, I think" I told Ayako.

Ayako gently let her basket go to the ground, then jumped down after it. "Then let's go up close!" She picked up the basket and started trotting to the cliff.

"H-hey, Ayako!" I shouted after she jumped down from the tree. I jumped down too and chased after her. "We need to come up with a plan! It could be dangerous!" I shouted again. I, as a supernatural detective, has encountered many cases that involved with dangerous supernatural beings. Because of my job, I have to be careful in everything I do. Although it's my job can be risky, Ayako seems indifferent. Her action running towards the cliff where the apparition was last seen proves it.
I sighed. "She's so carefree" I thought.

((bit of a time skip here. she's at the base of the cliff now.)) "Watch out for the banshee! Ooh, she's pretty!" the imp said in his sleep.
"Huh?" Ayako looked at the basket, to step on a trap in front of the cliff and fall into a deep hole. "Well then. YAKIIIIIII! I have cupcakes!"
The imp sat up, suddenly awake. "Cupcakes?! Where!"
"Up there." Ayako grabbed Kii-cha's loincloth again and sent him flying up into the air.
"Cupcakes?! Wherewherewherewherewhere?!" the imp started scouring the ground.
"Silly imp."

"AYAKO!" I ran faster when I saw Ayako fell into a deep hole. I stopped in front of the deep hole and brought my hands at the edge of my mouth. I shouted again, "Ayako!! Are you down there?!". It's dark in the hole but I know that Ayako is somewhere down there. She has to be.

"I found a cupcake!" The imp landed on Yakuma's head and bit down. "Kinda tasteless, but a cupcake's a cupcake!" He started gnawing the boy's head, keeping out of reach of his hands.
"That's not a cupcake!"

"Get off me, imp!" I reached out my hands and tried to catch him but the imp was fast in avoiding from getting into my hands. "Ayako! Help me get him off!!" I shouted.
I was too focused on getting the imp off my head when my foot suddenly stumbled on a rock. This, of course caused me to fall into the hole which caused me to land hard on my face. "O-ouch. That's gonna leave a mark..." I managed to say as I slowly stood up from the ground.

Ayako pulled the imp off and sent him back up again. "Your face is a mess." She looked around. "It's smooth. Kinda like dirt packed onto stone. Hmm..." she touched the walls, and some dirt crumbled to reveal stone. "I wonder if there's a hidden door or waah!" she had pressed on more dirt and had fallen into an opening. She got up and looked in. "Cool! A hidden passageway!" She ran into it, abandoning her basket, which had somehow been undamaged.
"Heey, wait for me!" the imp cried. He zipped down and flew after her.

"You're right...These dirt walls seems too smooth to be natural--" my sentence was cut off when I heard a rumble and a loud thump from where Ayako was examining the walls. I turned around in time to hear Ayako exclaiming in awe and her running footsteps inside the opening. "Hey, wait for me!" the imp shouted as he flew after his master.
"Kii-cha! Ayako! Dammit! Wait!!" I quickly took the basket that Ayako left behind unharmed and ran after the silver-haired girl and her imp. "Why can't they just stop and think, for once?"

((ancient underground ruins. we fell in through a skylight)) Ayako saw a sudden turn and dropped into a stop.
The imp did not notice, and crashed. "Ow!"
Ayako giggled and pulled the imp out of the wall. "Kinda dark, isn't it? And we have no lights." A soft silver glow appeared out of nowhere, and she looked around. "Where'd that come from?"
"Your hair's glowing. Looks kinda cool."

"It's dark. Luckily I brought my handy torchlight" I thought as I took out a small torchlight out from my pocket. I never went anywhere without it. My job as a supernatural detective requires me to bring a small orb of light everywhere in case the investigation leads to any dark places like the ruins that me and Ayako fell into. I slowed to a halt when a silver glow of light caught my eye ahead. I squint at it to see what cause the strange glow of light. My mouth dropped open when I realized that it was Ayako's hair was glowing.
"The hell, Ayako? Since when did your hair glow in the dark?"

"Since about ten seconds ago. Blech." the imp used some of the shining hair to wipe the dirt off his face. "Wonder why, though."
Ayako looked around. "Left or right? We've got either way to go."
The imp sped off to the right and came back. "Empty room. Boring." He sped to the left and zipped back. "Ledge. Floating stones. Really weird."
"That decides that, then." Ayako took the left path and was soon at the ledge. "Whoa, cool. They really are floating!"
