Cara walked into the bar, Tiger at her side. The Arcanine had pretty much refused to leave her alone after their Rinaul Mt. adventure. He had decided after their expedition that Cara was to be accompanied by at least one of her team at all times.

The reason Cara and Tiger were at this bar was because Cara had heard some rumors that there was an illegal gambling ring based here. She didn't know if the rumors were true but she figured that it wouldn't hurt to check it out. As she walked in, she saw some faces that she remembered and a couple that looked...vaguely familiar but she couldn't place them. It was like trying to fit a round peg into a square hole, the dots just wouldn't connect. She shook the thought and walked towards the gathering at the bar with Tiger next to her.

"Hey guys, fancy meeting you here."

At George's comment, Koorie's mouth twitched into a frown and she honestly contemplated dumping her drink over his head; she did not find his joke about holes amusing, and honestly it was down right embarrassing that she had needed assistance.

"I didn't need to go looking for trouble when I came home; trouble came home with me." She raised an arm to better show the current 'battle scars' from her training with her Areodactyl. "I still haven't gotten her to cease her rage fits or her escape attempts.... last one included a rather painful blast of fire."

Looking back to Osmond she nodded and glanced at Mrs. Pearls, then stopped. The woman looked familiar to her.... "I agree with her, if the pain is persisting, it more than likely is something that your body isn't healing correctly." Her eyes narrowed at the woman as she searched her mind to figure out how she knew her.

Ed sipped his drink, occasionally dunking his fries in it instead. When Cara joined them, he offered her a nod. Ed smirked at George's banter with Koorie, that boy was going to get his tail kicked if he wasn't careful.

Movement by the red curtain noted earlier caught his eye. A man was moving towards the too gaudy to be hiding anything drape. Ed pretended to be interested in his drink, watching from the corner of his eye. Sure enough, he did something to the poster hanging nearby, then disappeared behind the curtain. Ed calmly finished his drink. "Anyone interested in checking out the back room? I think I just learned the secret handshake," he drawled with a lazy smirk.

George had been keeping an eye on the red curtain to see if anything happened there when someone walked back there. He watched them very carefully seeing exactly what they were doing. It looked like he just put his hand on the wall as he went back. Maybe that wasn't the right area but then again, maybe it was. He would have to go over there later and check it out. Something definitely didn't seem right, the building ended pretty quickly after that curtain. So why would someone be going back in that small area without coming out often.

He saw a familiar form coming into the bar and looked over smiling at Cara. "Its good to see you Cara. I see you had the same idea we had. Pull up a seat and chat some while we all keep an eye on this place."

He looked over at Koorie and smiled then took a sip of his beer. "You do seem to have a knack for getting into trouble. If you need help, maybe a battle or two will help knock some sense into it. If it has to fight something and it keeps losing because it doesn't listen to you, it might learn to."

He turned to Osmond looking him over about his back problem, "Why don't you just see a doctor? I am sure that one of the healers in the force should be able to help out. Don't need you hurting yourself"

Hearing Ed talk about the back room he nodded at him, "I saw him go back there too. But I think a little bit more observation might be warranted, no need to go rushing into a dangerous situation. If he noticed us, I don't want to turn a corner and get shot." He returned his view on the red curtain waiting for anyone to come in or out. He didn't want too many people leaving if that guy knew they were watching.

A grunt in regular clothing leaned casually against the wall with the poster on it, obscuring most of the image. The curtain was still swishing slightly after the Executive had disappeared behind it. Where the grunt had come from was a mystery, likely he had been there the whole time, sitting inconspicuously at a table, drinking by himself. But now, he leaned against the wall, glancing around the bar.

"Cover the front, there's some guys at the bar who could be trouble," Clyde had sent a silent text message to their undercover bouncer at the front. Even though they hadn't been caught this late in the game, Clyde couldn't be too careful. The Grunt didn't care, he was getting paid to sit around and drink all day. He folded his arms across his chest, a relaxed, but defensive position.

Behind the curtain, into the hazy back room, Clyde returned. Should he tell the other grunts and his clients? Best not to, unless the crap really hit the fan. He knew he could get himself and the grunts out if he had to. Taking his seat, the game continued.

A delicate eyebrow raised at George's offer and a smirk came over her face. "I'll decline: I don't need to have someone else being destroyed by the brat. And trust me, it's for the better..." She reached down and rubbed the area around the burn on her leg.

It didn't take Koorie long to recognize that there was a reason that these people knew one another, and her eyes narrowed. "So, does someone want to clue me in on why we're acting so paranoid about the bar tender and raising suspicions about the curtain in the corner." She asked in a low voice to keep her question from being overheard by anyone outside of the table, since she had a feeling that she'd walked in on something.
