Dan listened to the words of the Grand Magus, equal amounts of nervousness and confidence being inspired in his breast. There were always chances to fail, and there always would be, but in this way, in this facet independent of magical study he could apply himself wholehearted and more. This was something he could do. The small nod to the importance of plagues didn't escape his notice either. Already he and Nella had had far too many encounters with those bigoted towards plague kind in the Fellowship and knowing they had an like mind in the Grand Magus herself was more than comforting. He gave a small bow of his head. "It would be my honor to take up those tasks."
"Good," Nella said with a smile, her body heating to the point she often used to warm Dan on some of the colder winter days. So often the warmth or anger in her feelings translated into the literal, though sometimes without the lantern completely realizing it. This time however, it was completely intentional, her snugging into the hand resting on her back. "You're worth a great amount, then," she murmured.
