"I'unno," Cheshire replied, sparing a small look towards the Pere-man. Oh well, didn't matter anyway.

"Wanna play?" he asked Sie with a bright smile.

"I don't think I've ever met such a stuck-up squatter," Chao snapped, her already on-edge nerves making her temper unusually short. She looked from the man to Hikari then back to the Peregrin-squatter-man.

"This is our property, we can't have him... roaming around or whatever," she said, looking at Hikari for support.

"Okay! Lets play...a game?" Sie asked, falling short on an idea for a game. He looked about the room and saw the large dusty train tracks.

"Wanna go play over there?" He asked pointing to the drop off that led to wood and steel bars of track. Danger? Bah! He wasn't afraid of dark, cold, scary train tracks. Right?

Hikari nodded curtly in agreement, shifting her glare upon the labled squatter. She threw her hands in the air to prove her frustration.
"He can go back to his...his." She groped for an explanation, eyes lightening upon finding one. "His red book checking and his pocket watch reading!"

Cheshire followed Sie's finger and tilted his head at the dusty train tracks. He grinned. "Sure! Lessgo!" he took a few semi-wobbly steps, tugging Sie along with him.

"Right!" Chao confirmed, crossing her arms and looking around. Leaning over she scooped up the hardhats they'd abandoned earlier. Plunking one on her head she handed the other to Hikari.

"This is our property and he can do his stupid checking somewhere else! Let's... let's... drag him out!" Righto! Bravery! Their property! They could do this!

"Agreed!" Hikari said with a curt nod to accent her displeasure of this...this squatter. She too promptly placed her hardhat upon her head, ignoring the sharp pain as the hard plastic rammed into her skull. She stood with her hands on her hips, waiting for Chao to lead the way.

Sie was dragged over to the deep gash in the cement. The small boy could only stare in awe of the vast amount of...stuff. He scuttled closer to the drop off, enough to dangle feet over the side and try to graze the bottom with his toe. This however was unsucessful.

Chao took a deep breath and did just that. With determined steps she headed over to the booth and banged on the door.

"HEY! Squatter man! Open up! You can't stay here!"

No answer was forthcoming so the teen pounded harder.

Cheshire quickly followed the other boy's lead but went a bit farther. He shifted so that he was going backwards ands dangled first his feet, then his legs, then his entire body off the edge, holding on by his fingers and trying to feel the bottom with his dangling feet.

This attempt was also unsucessful. He looked up to Sie, "too small," he whimpered.

Hikari graced the door with a simple and hard kick, waiting for some noise of protest to follow from the intruder inside.

"You come out right now, before we call the police!" Hikari shouted, standing next to Chao in a huff, watching as her friend proceeded to pound the door in.

"Don't hurt yourself." Hikari muttered after a moment's watch of the fist pounding fury that was currently Chao. "He's not worth it. Once we come back with the cleaning supplies we'll get him."

After a moment of ponder the teen glanced over at her friend with a thoughtful look.

"Any idea of what Window Cleaner does to one's eyes?"

Sie's small fingers gripped the tile harder as he felt a noticeable drop in altitude. He was slipping. The unpleasant sound of metal scraping on concrete resonated throughout the passage as the compass that did not point north scraped against the wall.

"Chesh," Sie almost whimpered, feeling his grip lurch and lessen, "I ne-"

Sie stopped his plea, hoping he wouldn't be caught dead asking for help.

All thoughts of morale preservation dissolved as he found himself free falling onto most uncomfortable pavement.

Shocked and dazed, Sie was able to hear the last strains of his small yelp echoing through the train tunnel. Luckily he had landed in a way that did not injure him too horribly.

Upon moving his hand he felt hard wood and metal tracks behind him. This new discovery provoked him to attempt to call out to his new friend. Yet dust and dirt clouds unsettled by his fall choked him and instead childish coughs sounded from him.

Chao huffed and crossed her arms, glowering at the door, noting that there were no sounds, of protest or otherwise coming from within.

"He's ignoring us... I wonder if he has earplugs in there as well?" the teen grumbled then looked to Hikari, grimacing as the word 'police' was mentioned. "Hiki?" lo, wasn't that was a curious nickname, "let's go with the cleaning supplies I'd... rather not get the police involved, ne?"

She chuckled, "horrible, horrible things, but if we do that, he'd probably have rights to sue us."

Cheshire glanced over at the groan of metal, "Sie!" it came out as a yelp and without thinking he grabbed for the other boy's hand.

And missed as Sie sailed downwards. It really wouldn't have mattered anyway, as when he lunged to grab for his new friend's hand he forefit his grip on the edge.

With a sharp sting of ripped flesh Chesh's fingers slipped over the edged and he sailed downwards, lying in a heap a little ways from Sie, hitting his hand hard against the wood of the track.

Whimpering the younger Passenger curled his hand to his chest and sat up, sitting crosslegged next to the tracks.

"Sie?" he called into the cloud of dust, though the word was choked with a cough.

Still pressing his hand to his chest he reached into the depths of his coat, groping about until he found a small stash of untainted paper. Drawing it out he formed it into a fan and beat the dust away from himself until he could get the breath to call out properly. "Sie? Whe're you?"

Hikari nodded solemnly and turned to glare daggers at the door. "Windex and good ol' 409 will do the trick though. I'm telling you..." Hikari trailed off as she spun back towards the train tracks and scanned the cemented building.

"Chao dear, where are the chitluns?"

"Cheshie!" Sie called and lunged at the nearest silhouetted form through the thinning dust. Although it seemed like a good plan beforehand, after the boy landed in Chesh's lap he thought otherwise.

Momentum kept his head diving until it hit the floor (luckily) covered by Chesh's coat. He rolled over with his head spinning until the other boy came into focus. Sie quickly found out that he did not want to leave the boys lap at the moment for the risk of him falling again was rather great.

"'lo Chesh."

"Oh, they're right..." Chao began, flicking her wrist in an 'oh there's nothing to worry about' sort of way and looked backwards over her shoulder. She froze and stared at the apparently empty Junction hall, hand falling back to her side as she registered that their new charges seemed to have dissapeared into thin air. "Oh s**t."

Cheshire let out a sound between a squeak and a squawking yelp as Sie suddenly collided with his lap. Instictively he sharpened his fan and then... well, then he didn't do anything, because he didn't know what to do!

It didn't matter as, when he looked down, he instantly recognized Sie and let the paper go, allowing the only again normal and floppy papers to drift towards the ground in favor of latching onto his friend in a sloppy, one armed clinghug.

He looked over, face worried as he caught sight of Sie's dazed expression, "Sie oki?"

Sie nodded with a wince and rolled off of Cheshire's lap rubbing his back once he was sitting next to his new friend.

"Sie is always Oki. Chesh oki?" He asked, turning to flash his almost trademark cocky grin.

Hikari felt a rush of panic course through her. Bringing her hands to her face as she scanned the area.

"Chao...are you sure this isn't just all a dream?" She asked with a shudder evident in her voice.

Cheshire returned the smile, though his was more one of relief than cockiness. "Chesh oki," he replied with a nod, his hand forgotten for the moment.

The dust seemed to have settled enough to look around and the boy 'Ooo'ed softly as his grey eyes flicked over their immediate surroundings. "We down now, wanna play?"

"Er...maybe?" Chao replied, looking around then grimacing and looking back to her friend, "but, with our luck, probaly not...."

"Cheshire!! Sie!!" she called out into the Junction, cupping her hands around her mouth, then, looking back to Hikari she added. "Come on, let's... I dunno, think of where they could be. They have tiny legs, they can't be that far."
PostPosted: Sat Sep 30, 2006 4:07 pm

"Yeah let's play!" Sie said standing all too quickly. He smirked and looked about. "What does Chesh wanna play?" He asked kicking a small stone with his foot.

Hikari followed in suite calling out the boys names and scanning the room for any sign of red hair or a kid in a trench coat.

"Where could they have gone? In the squatter's hut?" She asked calming down slightly realizing that yes; both boys had tiny legs and mostlikely no; they couldn't climb the stairs and traverse into the road.

Cheshire grinned and stood as well, following his friend's wandering gaze about the tracks, "hrm... wanna play..." he paused, thinking and wondering what games he knew. His eyes trailed after the stone Diae had kicked and he suddenly grinned, "lava?"

"No, we would've seen that..." Chao called the boys' names again, her eyes flit about the dungeon, there weren't exactly too many places to hide, since the Junction was basicly barren....

Her eyes settled on the edge of the concrete, where it fell away to the train tracks. She gestured towards it vaguely, "you don't think...?"

"I hope to all that is mildly holy not." Hikari muttered calling out the names as she jogged over to the ledge. "It's too dark! Chao get a light!"

"Wha's that?" Sie asked cocking his head to the side in confusion. If he didn't know the game, how could he possibly own face at it?

Chao had started after Hikari but quickly swivled back and ran towards where they'd left the flashlights.

Grabbing them she raced back to Hikari and handed one to her, "Cheshire! Sie! If you're down there say so!" she called, flipping on her light.

Cheshire grinned, standing up straighter as he prepared to explain. He pointed at the rocks, "sarocks're lava, if we touch it we're ded and we hafta come back 'ere," he gestured to the wood they were standing on, "the first one to make it..." he peered into the dim lighting and sighted a branch that was laying across the track and pointed, "thar wins!"
