Saya had already slipped the communicator into the pouch she always carried before getting up. "Having what?"
She had expected the person to be the grunt that she was sent on the mission with, but when she saw that it wasn't, she was immediately on her guard. She quietly took the pocket knife from the pouch and hidden it out of sight up her sleeve, ready to attack if he made any sudden movements.
Saya furrowed her brows. There was the tiny bit of recognition, but she dismissed it for having seen him before somewhere back at base. "Who are you?" It was more of a inquisition than a question.

Doyle gave Saya a pointed look. "You know what." He said noticing some movement on her part but didn't know what she was doing. He reached a hand up to move the goggles on his head to around his neck. He then ran his fingers through his spiky blonde hair and sighed.
"You can say I'm on the same team as you." He replied to her question, "I take it you're new. It's a wonder we haven't been busted yet." He shook his head and began to walk away. No one had taken notice them of stopping on the sidewalk and chatting as other people were too but you could never be too cautious about this sort of thing.

As he was about to take his leave, Saya replied, "That's not what I meant. I've seen you before." She narrowed her eyes, trying to pinpoint when that was. "But different."
Her eyes widened as sudden realization hit her. "You're that kid! From that day!"
She couldn't forget that face, though she had only seen him once. The one that gave her the confidence to stand up for herself. Thought they had said they would meet again, Saya didn't go to the meeting spot. At least, not until weeks had gone by, and by then, she realized it was much too slim of a chance to actually see him again. Too much time had gone by, but she didn't want to see him again until she had succeeded in her ordeal.

Doyle stopped and turned around his normal frown/scowl on his face. "What do you....." He paused actually looking at her. His own eyes widened for a moment before his normal expression went back into place. Clearly he wasn't the same kid as before and who knew what had caused him to change.
"Yeah so what if I'm that kid?" He asked, "It's not like you really care about meeting again Saya." Oh he remembered her now. The little girl he helped keep from being caught when she stole an apple. Gave her some advice and told her to meet up with him some other time to see how it went. She never showed and after a couple of weeks had gone by he had to leave home again to get away from his siblings. For some odd reason the fact that she never stopped by irked him as a kid, and apparently still did.

When he said her name, she knew he realized who she was and surprisingly, still remembered her name. Saya couldn't remember his, though. She was so preoccupied with thinking of schemes to get back at all the other children in the house that it had totally slipped her mind.
Saya's gaze landed on the pouch he was carrying. She played it cool and shrugged. "I did, once upon a time." She closed the distance between them in a flash, slipping her nimble fingers into his bag and retrieving the first thing they landed on-- a pokeball. All in one fluid motion with practiced precision. She tucked it into her free sleeve. "Did you want to see me again?" She smiled innocently.

Doyle snorted at that comment and took a step back when she got up close to him. His eyes tracked her movements and caught her getting sticky fingers much like him. Seems she had improved from the last time he saw her. "Not really but I was curious if you ever taught those boys a lesson. Did you?"
Saya never really got a chance to keep the theft hidden from Doyle. Just after he asked his question a flash of red light shot out of her sleeve and a bidoof appeared. It was silent and just glared at Saya as if saying it better give the pokeball back.
Doyle looked down when the light appeared and smirked at Saya. "Nice to see you've gotten better. Now if you'll give it back." He said holding out his hand. He was slightly surprised to see the bidoof being silent for once as Ansa was usually making noise. After that thought he could have slapped his head. It wasn't Ansa standing there. He kept forgetting that she had recently evolved. No this had to be one of his Zoruas, the problem was which one.

"I... um...What the heck is that?!" She unveiled the small knife and pointed it at the pokemon's nose. How the heck did it appear out of nowhere? She didn't have a pokemon herself, and actually never really came in contact with any tame ones. If it made any movements at all, she would--
Her concentration was interrupted by the other talking. She bit her lip. Her first instinct was not to give back anything she has rightfully taken, but he was the one who got her into this in the first place. She figured she owed him one, or something. Without glancing away from the pokemon, Saya threw the ball in his general direction. "Did that thing" She pointed at the bidoof with her knife. "come out of that?" She indicated the pokeball. She didn't quite gasp the concept of pokeballs, never having held one before.

The bidoof did not appear to be very happy about having a knife pointed at its nose. It's fur bristled but it never actually growled. When she began pointing with the knife it backed up and moved closer to Doyle. If she threatened its trainer it'd attack.
"It's a Bidoof.... a pokemon." Doyle replied catching the pokeball and placing it back in his pouch. He gave her a funny look and sighed. "Yes it came out of the pokeball. They're designed to capture pokemon." He explained. He didn't bother to recalled his pokemon but left it out. He did keep a closer eye on her to make sure she didn't try to steal anything else from him.

"Bidoof..." She nodded and relaxed, as if knowing its name deemed it safe. Pokeballs don't make any sense to her, but then so did the pokemon's sudden appearance. Saya gave it one last threatening look and brought her gaze to the guy. Whoops, she lowered her knife.
Then, she remembered his first question. "They saw my fist and ran." She shrugged. The subject made her uncomfortable, and she shuffled her feet. Saya hoped he wouldn't pursue it. "What was your name?"

The bidoof looked at Saya its eyes narrowing when she gave it another threatening look. It still remained close to Doyle and stayed silent.
Doyle shook his head not quite believing what she said. "If you say so." He replied. She had been so small back then that he doubted that her fist could inspire fear in others so quickly. "Forgot my name? Jeez good memory there." He said, "It's Doyle."

"I was eight!" Saya defended. "Strange to see you again here, of all places. Did you get kicked out of Ecruteak for stealing too much?" It was a plausible reason.

Doyle rolled his eyes. "Yeah sure. Use your young age as an excuse." He replied before laughing, "Ha! Yeah right. No I got reassigned here by headquarters and had to move here. At least I have new places to explore." He looked at Saya and raised an eyebrow. "It's not so strange to see me here of all places. It is strange to see you though. Did you get kicked out of Ecruteak for beating up all the boys?"

"No, I came on my own. Maybe I can catch a legendary here. Except, of course, I don't know how... How did you get that thing?" Saya pointed to the Bidoof. "It's so ugly." Her tone was serious.

Doyle looked at her and made a hmphing noise. "There certainly are a bunch of legendaries here. So you may have a chance to catch one." He replied before looking at his pokemon, "How did I get the Bidoof? I caught it. You haven't learned out to catch a pokemon yet?" He just gave her a blank stare when she mentioned that it was ugly.
The Bidoof looked at Saya and narrowed its eyes. It clearly wasn't happy about being called ugly.

"So... after you grab the thing against its will, how do you get it to behave?" Saya was genuinely curious. She stared at the Bidoof, trying to see anything good about it, but found none. "And if you can catch any pokemon, why that?"
