She snorted at him.
"That sounds an awful lot like you are skirting around answering. I think you are scared to have friends."
A pause.
And then LW sighed, picking up her bags again and moving to loop an arm through his, dragging tugging him towards the school.
"So, are you scared, Mr. Gloomy?" LW asked, glancing up at him.

A look of mild indignation.
"I don't skirt," said Xavier, even as LW was dragging him away from his comfort zone. "I am still a demon, you know and - wait what, why would I be scared I am not scared to have friends of course not why would you say a thing like that."

"So... you're a scared demon on top of things?" She ventured, clearly noticing how his voice got softer as he spoke. The she-wolf chuckled. "Sorry, couldn't quite catch that last bit?" LW teased him, smile spreading along her lips.
