Sherry's eyes followed Jake back to the door. It was now very clear, he wanted her out. She didn't move.
"But," she began, not trying to hid her disappointment at all, "I would really like your help with this." Not that she really knew what this trip might entail yet, but that didn't matter. Going alone was never a good idea.
"If you're busy, I don't mind waiting." She could use the time to flip through the book, or something. She still hadn't moved, though.

Ignoring her response, he took a few steps towards her, grabbed her arm and yanked her out, slamming the door in her face.
For a few minutes, she would hear a loud crash, shuffling, cursing, and then the door opened again, Jake huffing as he clipped the keys to his belt.
"We'd probably have to go to Weeping Forest again to find the damn portal." he muttered, slamming the door shut and walking past a probably stunned and quite confused life trainee.
If she managed to get a peek into his room before he closed it, she would notice there were shreds of paper littering the floor, and his chair was on top of his bed.GrnGriff I'll start portal rolls in next post. xD

Shock filled Sherry as Jake forcibly removed her from his room. "But-" she managed one word before the door slammed. She stared at the door, feeling very...lots of things. She'd clearly upset him, and that upset her.
Sounds of what was obvious anger filtered out through the door, and her suspicions seemed confirmed. Crap. If she'd just left, like her told her to...Gah. I'm so stupid.
Very much not pleased with herself, Sherry started to turn away when the door opened, and Jake stepped through. She caught the barest glimpse of his room before the door slammed again, and then he was off. Sherry spent a few heartbeats just staring at him, in just as much shock as before.
Then she hurried after him. "Probably," was all she said as she opened the book trying to scan it's contents for confirmation, while following Jake, and trying not to ask all the questions she wanted to ask.

Abandoned Isle of Enchantment:
Historical IC background: The Abandoned Isle of Enchantment had a very different name in the past, nestled between where two foreboding creatures sleep in the seas: Scylla and her sister Charybdis. It was once where travelers would rest: Gods would find a welcome stay while Human mortals would meet a rather unfortunate demise. The Isle of Enchantment is still lush with vegetation and life: creatures can be seen prowling the area, strange wild, exotic minipets (if they can even be called mini) unlike those ever seen before. In the center of the isle is a large palace-like structure with marble pools of water that are still oddly, in very good shape. The island itself is abandoned.
Isle of Enchantment portals randomly spawn to the area but they are very much by chance. The highest chance of portals spawning to that exact location is by parking yourself in the Weeping Forest.
gaia_crown [ Getting Started: ]
Getting into the Isle of Enchantment : - You need to camp out in the Weeping Forest after reading the information. Hunters can enter Halloween as well without a golem (recommended as the Isle itself is very golem unfriendly due to its climate and high altitude as well as natural enemies), for a max of 30 minutes. Each roll takes 5 IC minutes - students can pretty much park here as long as they need as well as horsemen while Hunters will need to exit and enter back again. - Basically, all Hunter and Horsemen characters have 6 chances to find the portal. If they don't find it, they will need to leave and come back. Students do not need to ICly leave and come back. - All players roll 1d100. - Rolling 50 or less will let players find a portal that randomly leads to someone's house. Feel free to RP this as you please as awkwardly as you please - Rolling 70 or less will let players find a portal that leads to the Land of Holidays. Right now is really not the time for Xmas cheer...and the creatures there seem extremely hostile - Rolling 80 or less will lead you to the Haunted House. - Rolling 81 or higher will let you find the portal! Success! You can now proceed inside.

Upon arrival at Weeping Forest, Jake let out an agitated sigh and sat down on a log, tugging at the cross around his neck. The sooner he got this over with, the sooner Chester and Sherry would stop harassing the crap out of him, and the sooner he could go back.
"So what's the place supposed to look like?" he muttered.

The whole time to the portal, and beyond, Sherry had still been trying to read the book and follow along without tripping. She somehow succeeded.
"Um," she glance up, then back to the book. She flipped a page or two. "It sounds like it will be an island. With a lot of plants and animals. Hm." She closed the book and looked up. "It looks like it should be really pretty."

"We're not here to sight-see." he grumbled. Plants and animals. Basically they were looking for some kind of forest, or something... in a forest. Great.
Huffing, he stepped through the closest portal. A wave of heat hit him, and the air felt damp. There was green as far as the eye could see, and off in the distance, he heard a cry, sounding nothing like a human voice.
"I think I found it." he called out.

Sherry rolled her eyes. "I know. But that doesn't mean we can't enjoy it." They'd had this discussion before.
She watched as he found a portal, and stepped through.
Sherry followed.
"Not bad," she smiled at him.
