[Genevieve // "Of the race of women"] [French - JEN-a-veev] [Female] [Guillaume // "Will helmet; protection"] [Old German - gee-OHM] [Male]
Personality:
[Female] Pretentious
Definition: characterized by assumption of dignity or importance. Genevieve, or Vieve, would have a large desire to learn all she could. When she's a foal, she'd first start out learning small things from the two herds she's going to make herself a part of. It could be old tales or just learning what the herds do best. Eventually, she'll learn more and broaden who and where she'd learn from. She's the type of foal that will grow into an adult that will believe she can learn anything, which is half true. Vieve is very good at learning about things and remembering them, but she's not very good at doing, mostly because she's not good at translating words and memories to physical actions. Because she has a tendency of knowing what people are doing wrong, she points them out, rather bluntly. This causes her to have less friends, even though she's not necessarily being hostile or mean about it. Vieve just feels as though it should be done right if done at all. [Male] Coruscating
Definition: to emit flashes of light; sparkle. Guillaume, or Gui, is a lot nicer than the female concept, where he his a bright personality. His smile and happiness would be contagious to those around him, spreading happiness wherever he goes. Even when someone makes him sad, he puts a smile on and keeps the sadness inside until he's alone. The sadness he wouldn't even share with his family. He is a foal that will grow into an adult that loves to teach and tell stories. Eventually, he will teach less and become more of a storyteller. Gui will travel across the land to learn different tales, either those that has happened to people or stories that they remembered from the past. As both a foal and an adult, he'd have desire to protect those smaller than him. Well, when he grows into an adult, he'd want to protect anyone in trouble. From the smallest bug to the largest animals, Gui would want to protect them.
Plot Ideas:
Learning from Momma: The foal, either gender, would be interested in learning about their momma's herd and what she does every day. (I know ICly it doesn't exist, but they would still love to learn!) Learning from the Parents: I've never had much RP with a basket's parents before, so I'd really like for this foal to RP with one or both of them and learn about different things of the earth, like what not to eat and what to eat. Adventures with the Siblings: Can be anything, whether it be a exploring a cave or reviewing things that were taught by their parents (like which plants are edible, etc.). Learning to fight: For either gender, they'd want to gain some experience either in offense or defense, from both parents as well as from others when they grow older. They'd want to serve both herds well. Time with Grandpa: I would really like it if the foal would understand and keep Moam's belief of 'if you want happiness then you have to go after it, and not wait for it to fall into your lap'. This would be their outing. Not sure how it would progress, but I think this would be good to live by. First Death: The foal stumbles upon a dead animal and is confused. They try and bring it back to their parents and well... That's the beginning of it. Not sure how it would progress. Newbie: Nope owo Prompt Response: Prompt 2; RPing as Genevieve
Quote: Genevieve could feel her heart pounding in her chest as she could see herself running. She couldn't quite remember what she was running from, but all she could feel was fear. All she could see was the darkness. Vieve had no idea what was going on, but eventually the darkness dissolved away into a single light, a light that took the shape of another foal. The feelings inside her changed from fear to happiness; so many foals had ignored her because they were tired of all the corrections she pointed out to them. The form... The form was different. It actually wanted to play with her! It was the first time that Vieve felt so happy that she didn't notice the errors that the form made, if there was any. They were having so much fun in the form paused, seemingly staring at her. Suddenly, the brightness grew smaller. Genevieve watched as the dot grew smaller and smaller; she ran towards it, opening her mouth but no sound came out. Tears started to trickle down her cheek as she ran. " Please, don't go!" She thought in her head over and over again as her chest pounded hard in her chest once again. The light disappeared as the first sound escaped her mouth. "NOO!" She closed her eyes in the dream and when she opened her eyes again, Genevieve could see the sun peeking over the hill. Vieve could also feel a dampness on her cheek; she really had cried. Carefully and quietly, she wiped her face in the soft grass and stood up, not wanting to awaken her family. She made her way to a point in where they were standing where she could see the sunrise. Genevieve took a deep breath and took in the crisp morning air. The dream scared her. She finally had a friend, real or not, but they left her too. If she found ones in real life, would they leave her too? Genevieve let out a sigh as she heard steps behind her and looked behind her, startled. Her mother was standing there, and Vieve could tell her mother was slightly worried. All her mother asked was if she was okay, but Vieve wasn't sure herself. Nothing was wrong, but her heart hurt. Genevieve was silent for a while, but then she stared to speak softly, telling her mother what had happened in the dream and why she was wake so early. She looked up at her mother once everything was done, and there was just a soft look of love on her mother's face. There was a touch of worry, but when Victoria spoke, she explained to Genevieve that the reason why she was worried was because her little girl was worried about something that she shouldn't. It would take time, but Victoria knew her daughter would find her place. The young foal just stared at the spot where the sun was rising. Genevieve already knew that looking at the sun directly was bad, but the filly just needed something to focus on. " Momma said everything's going to be okay... But will it really?" She smiled weakly at her mother before letting out a sigh.
"I don't know... But I'll try, Momma." Genevieve couldn't find words to say to her mother, but nuzzled her mother's neck instead. It was going to be a long day, and Vieve thought that it would be more enjoyable if she made the best of the day. "'If you want happiness then you have to go after it, and not wait for it to fall into your lap...'" Anything Else?: Thanks for the contest 8"D! Love both the parents!

Username: Kaliskanny Name & Meaning: Peregrin Kavi - it's unisex. Peregrin means (religious) pilgrim, traveler Kavi means wise poet
[Name // Meaning] [Male/Female] [Name // Meaning] [Male/Female]
Personality: Personality will be the same for both genders, writing this for the adult years...hope that's okay
Peregrin Kavi is a bit of a dreamer, always remembering the strange dream as a foal. S/he believes it truly was a vision and that it was to guide him/her through life. S/he travels much like her father, but to find the meaning of the dream. S/he is wise, though young, and chalks this up to her/his mother's wisdom. Peregrin Kavi isn't a push over, despite his/her head in the clouds. S/he can hold her own, having been trained by his/her father and grandfather and raised in the Moonglade herd. As a foal, Peregrin Kavi is questioning. S/he looks for the answers in everything, and longs to be old enough to travel. S/he also wants to remain in he Moonglade herd more than her/his mother's...finding that she feels closer to his/her father with the wanderlust.
[Male/Female] [Male/Female]
Plot Ideas: Peregrin Kavi wants to find the meaning of the dream. Despite being told it was not a vision, s/he hold to the idea that it was. Even though s/he's never had another dream like it.
Peregrin Kavi will also take to the road, traveling in search of wisdom and guidance. S/he has his/her father's wanderlust in her blood and wants to adventure before settling down.
Peregrin Kavi hopes to meet lots of interesting soqs along his/her travels. Who would s/he meet? Would they know how to find the spirit guide? Would they spiritual themselves, or mocking?
Finding a mate is the last thing on Peregrin Kavi's mind, until they find someone who captures their heart. But who would it take to settle the wanderer? Newbie: Nope Prompt Response: (writing this as a male) The foal wandered much farther than he had before. The dark trees around him filled with eyes of animals watching. He knew his mother always said they were more scared of him than he was of them, but then his father had told him frightening tales of skinwalkers. Peregrin Kavi was lost, that was an understatement. He'd never been this far from his herd before, and didn't recognize any of the trees. He also wasn't sure how long he'd been walking, or why he could not remember. One thing the foal knew, he was not tired. In fact, he was energetic. As if a force was rippling through his small frame. He started to run through the trees, despite being lost. Maybe the way out was just ahead, he thought as he raced ahead.
When he reached a clearing, the foal stopped. This was only taking him deeper into these strange woods, making him more lost. Peregrin Kavi started to sniffle, feeling like he might cry. But warriors didn't cry, his father had said so. He didn't really see himself as a warrior. He wanted to travel and have his own stories, like his father before he and his siblings were born. Like now, lost in these woods. The foal could already imagine telling the story to his parents and siblings about being lost and finding his way home. He sighed and shook his head slightly, he'd never get home by crying. He had to keep walking and see if he could find a familiar landmark. Such as that light up ahead. Maybe that was coming from the herd.
Peregrin Kavi ran to the light, thinking in the back of his head that it might not be the wisest thing to do. Just as he thought the light was moving away, it stopped and came toward the foal. This caused the youngster to stop in his tracks. He was afraid now, and wasn't sure what this light was, as it couldn't be another soquili. He squinted against the brightness, praying it wasn't a two-legger out catching young foals. The light got brighter and brighter, then suddenly dimmed to a glow no brighter than firefly light. Peregrin opened his eyes and blinked. Before him was was looked like a luminescent filly. She giggled at him and pranced around in a circle, her voice lyrical. "Play with me!"
The foal stepped back, not sure what to make of this sudden apparition. "Are....are you real?"
"No, silly...this is a dream," the filly giggled. She got closer and tugged gently on his ear with her teeth. "Play with me! Let's go explore this forest and look for monsters!"
Peregrin shook his head, thinking this strange foal was crazy. "Why would you look for monsters? They might eat you."
"Because silly," the glowing foal smiled. "That's part of the adventure. There might not be monsters, but you won't know unless you look. When you look, you learn. When you learn, you're smart. Just because you're smart doesn't mean you can't have fun while getting smart."
"So, this...is a game? Looking for monsters instead of home?" He was very confused, but returned the smile. He thought he might be understanding what she was meaning. "It's not the end, but the journey?"
The filly nodded, then started to glow bright again. When the light dimmed, she has grown to an adult mare. She smiled at Peregrin Kavi, "You are starting on the path to wisdom, little one. I see many adventures in your time, many strangers for you to meet. You will have tales for your family, full of your travels and what you learned. Now, go find your way home...wake up and find your way home."
With that, the mare grew bright again, as bright as a star. Peregrin closed his eyes, looking away from the blinding light. Then it was gone and dark again. He opened his eyes and found himself lying on a bed of moss under a tree, right where he'd decided to take a nap earlier. He'd been left with the Moonglade herd by himself to have time with his father. At first he'd been upset, now he was looking forward to telling him about the dream. He got up and raced to where his father was grazing on sweet grass. He bumped against his legs, nudging him. "I had the most interesting dream! It was like one of the stories you told about your travels. I was lost in these dark woods I'd never seen before. There were animals watching from the darkness and I was really scared. Then I saw a light and ran to it, hoping it was the way home. It wasn't...it was a foal, and she was glowing like a firefly! She wanted me to play with her and look for monsters...."
When the foal paused for a breath, Obsidian chuckled, "That sounds like quite the dream, son..."
"But there's more!" Peregrin stated as a matter of fact. His tail flicked back and forth. "I think she was a vision! She told me I would have many adventures and learn from them and have lots of wisdom!"
"That sounds like quite the tale, Pippin, but...it was only a dream. It wasn't a vision," Obsidian said calmly, not wanting to upset his youngest. "Visions don't run in the family, on either side. But, that was some dream and made a great story. Did you find the monsters?"
The foal huffed at his nickname, "No...she told me to wake up and find my way home. One day I'll find her, and prove it was a vision! I can be the first in the family! It'll be a grand adventure and..."
"When you're older, my son. You're too young right now, but when you're older," The stallion smiled, tossing some of his purple hair from his eyes. "I'm sure you'll have many adventures when you get older, and you will learn a lot...and you will have fine stories to tell when you come home. But, it was only a dream...and quite the imagination."
Peregrin Kavi bristled, then sighed. There was no arguing, he'd just have to keep the belief that it was a vision to himself. One day he would find the spirit and prove it. When he was older and would be allowed to travel on his own. For now he'd have to settle on the travels between herds with his mother and father as an escort. He knew one day he'd eventually stay with the Moonglade, though. Close to the place where the spirit had told his fortune and shaped his future. He muttered that he was still tired to his father, then made his way back to the moss. He wanted to try and see if he could find the glowing filly again....hoping it hadn't really been only a dream. Anything Else?: Thank you for the contest. It was a lot of fun to write for. I wish everyone good luck that has entered.

Calista Aislinn// the most beautiful dream Ambroas Hester // immortal star
Personality:
Mystical/Female Visionary/Male For either gender, they will be more interested in the spiritual world than the ordinary world that most everyone else sees. They will seek spirits and knowledge of that other world over the entire course of their life. If female, she will be more interested in the knowing, and working behind the scenes with her knowledge. If male, he will be more proactive, taking a hoof in events, more particularly after he has grown into his own, grown stronger. Though either way he or she will stay close with their family.
Plot Ideas: Foalhood: - Spirits All Around: the dream wasn't the first time when the foal heard plants and other animals speak. But it was the first time (s)he connected this with spirits. (S)he realised that there were spirits all around if only one took the time to seek them out. (S)he ventures around the safety of the lands claimed by her/his family to see if spirits actually exist, and to learn more about them. (S)he runs into other animals, foals, family members etc. on this -what will become lifetime- quest/adventure for knowledge. Some will help her/him, others will hinder. -I want to know: Having a great respect for her/his elders, as well as a thirst for knowledge, (s)he likes to spend time with her/his grandparents, learning whatever they are willing to teach her/him. -Am I mad?: When (s)he speaks to others about spirits and 'living' plants and animals, (s)he is often mocked or they just brush it off as her/him having an overactive imagination. (S)he finally gets the courage up to ask her/his parents if the spirits are real or if, like others say, (s)he is insane. -I may be small, but I can still help you: (S)he comes across a soquili who has gotten into a bit of a bind… perhaps they've injured themselves mildly and are having difficulty reaching their destination when (s)he can offer her-/himself as a crutch or the like… - My sibling, my protector: (S)he is slighter than her/his siblings, and not one who will defend themselves because (s)he does not want to hurt anyone/anything for any purpose. So (s)he goes to her/his favorite sibling, knowing that they will be there, no matter what. - Speak for me: After some incident, (s)he becomes a mute -by her/his own choice- so (s)he needs to find someone to be her/his voice. Enter a friend or family member who finds one of my unattached familiars who is injured and brings it to her/him to become her/his voice.
Teen/young adult -I want to see the world: (S)he starts to grow restless in the peaceful lands of the family, and longs to see the world beyond. (S)he would join her/his father on a short journey. -I Think I'm lost: While following her/his father on a trip that should have been fairly safe and uneventful but somehow (s)he gets separated. But instead of waiting and hoping that father would come back and find her/him, (s)he ventures off trying to find her/his own way home… -Broken illusions: (S)he grew up fairly sheltered, never having experienced that darker forces, such as kalonas and skinwalkers, so (s)he believes the world is all sunshine and roses. But while (s)he is away from her/his father and trying to make her way home, (s)he learns that evil does exist…. -Learn to stand alone: Back in herd lands (s)he decides to get stronger, to learn to protect her-/himself. (S)he leaves to find others to teach her/him to become stronger.
Adulthood -Home is Family: After becoming stronger, and growing into her/his own, (s)he returns to her/his family/herd - I'm here for you: (S)he never wanted to be a leader in the herd, but (s)he would always be there to lend an ear and open mind to those in the positions of power. - Battles and scars: In growing strong, one must inevitably fight battles and win or lose, all leave their marks somehow… - Arranged mating: In order to gain a more stable position for the herd, (s)he agrees to an arranged mating, to be decided by her/his parents, knowing that they will choose well for her/him.
Newbie: Nope Prompt Response:(the response will be from Ambroas' pov) As being a foal dictates, you grow bored quickly and often. One night your restlessness becomes unbearable, and without realizing it you've fallen asleep. In your dreams you decide to wander away from the protection of the herd, slipping unnoticed into the dark trees. After a few minutes you begin to hear a strange sound and after a few steps further into the darkness you begin to see a bio-luminescent forest spirit morph from the darkness in front of you. The forest spirit and you begin to play various foal games and right before you wake up you begin to slip into another dream, although, you believe it's a vision (until you wake up and realize it's all a dream). What happens in this vision? Does it change you or do you chose to ignore it? Do you tell any members of your family? If so, how do they react?
He had not been tired. Even after a long busy day of learning and play. It was nighttime, way past the time when all good little foals should be in dreamland. But he was not tired. He huffed and stood up, careful to avoid stepping on his siblings as he crept away from the family. He needed to get away, to do something. Soft pale green eyes scanned the clearing. To get away without causing upset or panic. A pale, glowing shape appeared in the corner of his eye. Momma and dad were not to be seen, and his siblings were asleep. The shape acted as a siren call. He needed to see just what it was.
One tentative step, then another Ambroas left the safety and made his way to where he saw the glowing. A slight feeling of guilt settled in his stomach and he paused. 'I'll be back, soon. I promise,' he whispered softly. With the promise spoken, he felt better, even if it was unheard. He would be back soon. He promised and he would keep his word. Momma and dad taught him that.
Steps growing stronger he walked closer to the forest. That was where the light seemed to be going. So that is where he would go too.
Shadows deepened around him, but he wasn't afraid…which was odd, because he did not like the dark. This unusual fact was noted, but dismissed with a shrug as he was more interested in the adventure. Following the light, he made his way into the forest, which was twisted and dark and unrecognisable. The realization made him stop. This wasn't the forest he knew.
'This is spirit of the forest, not the forest you have played in.' A voice whispered softly. Unseen, unnoticed, invisible. He looked around and shook his head in confusion. Where was the voice coming from? And just what did it mean…
'Here.'
He followed the voice.
'No, here.'
The spirit led him to place after place, he was confused at first, but then realised he knew these places. He knew these particular landmarks. They were comfortable, familiar, old friends. 'Everything has a spirit, they are all around.'
Morning light shone bright and harsh. Ambroas woke with a start. He was back home, curled up close to both siblings. When had he fallen asleep. And more importantly, how had he gotten home? What about his adventure? Was it real? Or was it all a dream?
'There are spirits all around.'
He knew that if it was just a dream, if he mentioned it to his siblings or even momma and dad, they wouldn't believe him. He wasn't crazy. But it had seemed so real. There had to be some truth. He would find out the truth. But for now. It was a lovely day to spend some time with family.
Anything Else?: This is a very lovely family, thanks for the opportunity to join it.

[Albite // one of the two feldspar layers that form together to make a moonstone] [both]
Personality:
[Obedient/Male] Albite is what you would say is a perfect son. he does what he is told and has a thirst for knowledge. he is the kind of boy that has been raised in a sheltered family and some from the outside would consider soft. he does not like to adventure, or wonder, or get dirty. he is perfectly content to sit and enjoy the day, or to learn new things from his elders. some people go off on adventures and he likes to hear about them, but he would never even consider going on one himself. adventures are too much of a hassle, not to mention you would not be home in time for dinner. [Spiritual/Female] Albite is the kind of daughter who wishes to prove herself. she wants so badly to be useful to the herd and to her family. she takes every lesson she can and goes on every adventure that there is. practice makes perfect and experience breeds intelligence. she would spend her younger years trying to impress and please everyone, but as she got older she would realize that she really has a knack for spiritual stuff.
Plot Ideas: for both genders i would like to see Albite to become some sort of priest/priestess. to pray for the herd and to please the gods. the train both the mind and the body by fasting and meditation. to travel far and wide to be able to understand many things and bring the knowlege back to the herd for spiritual growth of its members. Newbie: N Prompt Response: #2 The shimmering foal beckoned Albite to follow it farther into the woods. Albite followed, her tail swishing happily back and forth as she went deeper and deeper into the woods. Suddenly the foal was nowhere to be seen. In fact, she was not even in the woods at all anymore. Everything around her was brown and she was in a strange place that she had never seen before. She could feel that the winds where blowing strongly around her, whipping her hair across her eyes making it hard to see. She continued to press onward hoping to find shelter from the terribly strong winds. Sand was kicked up all around her and she could hardly see a tails length ahead, but she pressed forward. At some points the winds where so strong that she could hardly move, but that did not stop her. She had this urgent feeling that she had to keep going no matter what. Albite’s eyes where full of sand and her ears rang with the whistling of the winds, and then there was nothing. No winds, no sand in her eyes, nothing. She looked behind her and saw a wall of blowing sand, but it did not threatened to come closer. Ahead of her she saw a giant pillar that rose out of the brown sandy floor. The pillar seemed familiar. Albite felt as if she had stumbled onto something incredibly important, something that she felt would help her herd, that would help her future family. She went to take another step forward, to try and enter the pillar, to try and find out why it was so important, but as soon as she took her step she found herself back with her herd. It had all been a dream, next to her where her sleeping siblings, and it was still dark. It had all been a dream...an important dream...but why was it so important...what had the dream even been about? If it was so important then why could she not remember it? Albite felt like there was a rock in her stomach, the feeling that you get when you know that you have forgotten something, something important...maybe her grandfather would know about her dream...her vision...if only she could...remember it...Albite fell back into a troubled sleep. Anything Else?: im always grateful to owners who are generous enough to let others into their family, and you have quite the beautiful family here, so thank you.

[Charlotte // Victorian Name to match Mommy's ] [Female] [Jasper // A purple stone used for protection/Healing ] [Male]
Personality:
[Female] Perceptive - Sensitive to others Charlotte will be a lot like her mother, very regal and head strong. She may not voice her own opinions often, at least not when she's too young, but her mind is always ticking and keeping up with conversation at hand. She is quick to form her own opinions, without other's influences, and it's hard to get her to change her mind once it's made up. Much of her younger life will be spent trying to emulate her mother which trying to settle down a sense of adventure with frequent conversation with her Grandfather, Moam. She won't have a huge sense of Advanture hit her until after a dream she has as a young adult. A dream that seems more like a vision, warning her of terrible things to happen in her future. The message is altogether unclear as to exactly what the problem is in her future, but she knows if she continues down the path she is on now this terrible thing will happen. As an adult she will finally set out on her own to seek a teacher. One who can teach her as much abut the lands around as they can teach her how to use her hooves as a weapon. She has a deep sense that only through leaving her family behind (hopefully only for a short while) she can learn how to save them. She'll hopefully grow into a wise enough mare to confront her future. [Male] Quixotic - Which simply means idealistic Jasper will be your typical rough and tumble sort of son. Though he will take his lessons seriously, the moment he has time to himself he will be exploring the lands available to him as a young foal. He won't wander too far away, tales of monsters in the land keeping him close to home should anything bad actually happen. (Maybe something could?) He will have a strong connection to his family and will want to be able to protect them at all times, unlike Charlotte (his female half lol) he would stick close to home and start learning to be a deadly force at a young age. He will likely prefer his relationship with his father over his mother, although equally close to the both of them and not being the stallion he grows into being without either of them there to help him grow. He just prefers his sense of adventure that he shares with his father and truthfully doesn't really want to be tied down to either of the herds he calls home. At a young age he has a similar vision to Charlotte's only his a little more specific. He sees himself losing a mare close to him to a predator. He will seek out a way to gain more strength once he is older and for this reason he doesn't like to get super close to new Mares. Until he is confident in his ability to protect those he cares for, he will not start a relationship. He fears if he did, his vision would come true. He's often worried that no matter what he does, it will never change. This is eventually something he will talk to Moam about before deciding to leave. IN the end he will always return home.
Plot Ideas: ❧ Mainly I want to have Charlotte/Jasper fit in with their family, if that means tweaking some of the things in this form I am more than willing to do so. I want him/her to really fit in with the family and to really get involved in all of their lives.
❧ Lessons with Mommy and Daddy ❧ Playing with the siblings! ❧ The Dream / Vision to turn into Legit RP. Would come at different times in his/her life depending on if they are male or female. ❧ (For Jasper) A run in with a dangerous animal at a young age. Whether he gets out of trouble with help or not is up to discussion! This could lead to him having his vision. ❧ Making a name for him/herself in the herds. S/he will always call them home and both are likely to return with their own mate and children in the future. ❧ Seeking a Mentor to become both physically and mentally strong. ❧ Preventing vision from coming true. Somehow/someway. ❧ Eventually finding love. I could see Charlotte having a fling, but Jasper is too confused by his Vision to fall in love until after it has been prevented. It's even possible that maybe he does fail. Than he'll have to seek guidance from someone. A family member maybe? ❧ Open to joining other plots and in general having fun with this baby! Newbie: No Prompt Response: Prompt 2 - Answered as Jasper
It had been a long day, from lessons with the parents to running around and doing crazy things with his siblings., it was no wonder he fell asleep so fast. Usually he would wiggle around and twitch for a long time before his eyes finally closed. It wasn't even long before his was sleeping so deeply that his dreams could shape his thoughts and take him on a wild adventure. An adventure that starts out with him sneaking away from his herd and into the dark trees of the night.
He felt something calling out to him in the darkness and his curiosity got the better of him as he wandered into the dark. It wasn't long before a spirit appeared before him. At first is spooked him and he left out a startled cry, which in turn spooked the spirit. He realized before long that whatever the thing before him actually was, it seemed harmless. Before long he even found himself chasing and being chased by the spirit, he wanted to spend the whole night with the luminescent being. As the day started to break the dark sky in his dream suddenly his spirit friend wasn't as playful as it had been. Suddenly it turned glowing, yellow eyes on the foal and in his mind a new vision formed.
He was confused and felt panicky, something was setting his nerves on fire. He could tell he wasn't quite his usual self anymore. He felt older and the forest around him seemed smaller than he was used to seeing it. He saw something whiz past his side, with glowing yellow eyes. Thinking it might have been his spirit friend he ran after it. Only a few seconds of chase later and he heard a heart-wrenching scream. He didn't know what hurt him so bad to hear that voice in so much pain, but he ran as fast as he could. Only to realize he was too late. The sight of the unfortunate mare brought tears to his eyes. He locked eyes with the predator that had taken her beauty from the word. And as he stared into it's eyes his vision began to blur and suddenly he was awake.
His eyes snapped open, but he didn't dare move. He was still nestled against his mother's side, his siblings on either side of him. He could tell he was shaking from his dream. Had it only been a dream? He felt too shaken up for it to have only been his imagination, he had suffered from nightmares before and usually after a few minutes he can barely even recall his dream. But in his mind he could still see himself playing with the forest spirit and than being forced to witness something terrible.
He didn't want to wake either of his parents since it was still dark outside. But he resolved to talk to them seriously about this in the morning. He felt anxious, like he needed to get up and go somewhere or do something. He couldn't just sit around, he needed to learn to prevent something like this from happening. He laid his head down, unable to sleep with the vision still fresh in his mind. He had a feeling he'd be working out it's message for quite some time.
Anything Else?: Such a lovely family. So looking forward to some awesome RP. <3 Good luck to all the entrants. :'3

edited around 9:40am &12:50pm 1/17(CST) -fixed some grammar mistakes-Username: stormflower Name & Meaning: Same for both genders Charoite//It is the name of a rare and unusual gemstone. One of its most unusual characteristics is that it is often described as "unnaturally beautiful." It has such a unique and attractive swirling violet color that specimens of it are sometimes thought to be synthetic rather than natural. Pic, Pic2 -nicknames: M-Char or 'Aro', F-Char or Ari(just because xP) (I wanted to go with a color based route as well as a gem route and I found that and thought it was perfect both ways. I see a lot went the gem route, but I wanted it to work with color as well.)
Personality:
Same for both genders(in writings I am portraying it as a male though) Temper: Ardent (social, loving, kind, caring, dislikes being alone, family oriented, observant, not a big adventurer)
Char is a bit of a social butterfly not necessarily craving to be the center of attention but just liking being surrounded by others, especially his family. He has no problem expressing how he feels about someone and can be very affectionate, almost bearing it all whole-hearted(wearing his feelings on his hooves in a way). He loves his family very dearly and relishes in the chance to visit those in the different herd's but is glad they aren't too far from one another. Can't say if he is more a momma's or a daddy's boy as he loves everyone equally and tries his best to be with each side of the family equally. Char is very kind and doesn't have a mean bone in his body, he's always looking at 'the glass half full' and sees the brighter side of things. Should he be around one of more negativity he'll be there to 'turn that frown upside down', or give it his best effort. Though he likes being able to travel between the herds to be with both sides of the family as far as traveling very far and adventuring go, he is one that would rather stick closer to home. This isnt to say he won't go on an adventure, but most likely it would be a more a 'mini-adventure and he wouldn't go without a companion or two. He hates being left alone, it almost scares him to be completely alone and as a foal he finds himself a tad afraid of the dark(he will grow out of that...somewhat). Not liking to be alone can maybe put him off as clingy at least as a foal but he knows others like their space at times and he will honor that, but you can be sure he won't be too far off with someone still within his sight or he'll be quick to find more company. He also doesn't pass up the chance to make new friends..
Plot Ideas: Im not very good at coming up with plots when it comes to contests but I would def. look for many family related things especially with Char wanting to know all of the family and be as close as possible with them. With his slight fear of being alone there are some opportunities there for him to find new friends and maybe some enemies if he gets lost, many lessons for him to learn about personal space and how to respect it as he grows. Newbie: N Prompt Response: Prompt #1 Char stretched and shook his mane as he woke mid morning almost. He was always the last one to get up and also last to go to bed. As he stretched and looked around he saw mother and siblings off in the distance. She had told them that she would be going back to the other herd and to check on things and everyone. She had given them a choice if they wanted to tag along. Char's older siblings agreed to going, but as much as Char wanted to go he decided to stick around and hang with his father and Grandfather. He was a spunky little foal and had a habit of playing 20-questions, especially with his grandfather since he was different and cool armor on. Every time he asked about it though Moam refused to talk about and pushed it off saying,'It is nothing young ones need know' and it would be left at that.
Char admires his Grand-father and has said on many occasions how he hopes he grows up to be just like him, brave, strong, and a protector. He would add that one day he could hopefully be able to have armor like Moam, hearing this Moam would get an odd expression and his demeanor would change and he would tense up slightly. Char didn't understand it, but never said such a thing again hoping one day he would be old enough to understand.
As he stretched a bit more and gave a big yawn he looked around to see where everyone else was. He could see his father and grandfather not too far off as they had seen Victoria and the other foals off. Char almost decided to go with them, but ultimately decided to stay with his father and grandfather and hoped he could hear some of their adventure and travel stories. He loved hearing the stories and when they would talk about all the adventures he could have on his own when he was older he would just shake his head and say that he'll stick to hearing the stories and would prefer to stay close to home with those who love him and that he loves. He wanted to be the herd's protector, for both herds if he finds it possible.
He is afraid he may not be able to live up the greatness he sees in his father and grandfather him being scared of the dark and really not liking being alone. He tries to hide it from his family, not wanting them to see him as weak and he is very observant learning what he can just from watching his dad and Moam. He was glad he had kinda a boys day with them, he asked his questions about how to be a protector and a good one and he followed them around watching and learning. It was one of the best days yet. They played a little but mostly talked and he learned of some of the history of where Moam came from as well as history of their home in the kawanii lands.
It was an eventful day and though he missed his mother and siblings he was glad to have a day to spend with his dad and grandpa and learn how to be a good and strong stallion. After following them and studying them it had worn him out but he had never seemed so hyper when his mom and sibling returned. Char literally bounced off the trees telling them of his great day, but was also very interested in his mom and siblings day, but it would have to be the next day as as soon as was done eating he passed out exhausted having exerted so much energy but it was a night he had wonderful dreams of growing up to be just like his heroes, his dad and grandfather. He looked forward to growing big and strong and learning all he can to be the best son/protector/stallion he could be. (ended up going a slightly different direction then originally intended, o'well hope you like it) Anything Else?:Thanks for the opportunity to be a part of the family smile I admire both sides of the family and love all the WoW ponies and their descendants ^_^ Thanks again and I wish you th best of luck with reading all the wonderful entries. Good luck and thanks again <3

[ Lionel// Little lion (After Sir Lionel of the Round table)] [Male/Female] [Adalaide // Noble] [Female]
Personality:
[Male]
Unlike his father, Lionel, even at a young age seems perfectly happy to stay right where he is. The thought of leaving the vicinity of the two herds is almost a foreign concept to the young stallion. Loyal almost to a fault this lack of a desire to travel might leave the young stallion with a bit of naivety about the world at large..but no once could ever fault him for his good intentions. Lionel simply wants to help the herds he was born into. He dreams of making his father and his mother proud by growing up to become a brave and noble defender of the herd. He will not be a Knight he insists (Knights travel off to help others) But instead will follow most of the same training..but stay home..to protect.
A protector at heart Lionel is incapable of leaving someone in the path of harm while they are residing in the herds and has inherited his fathers soft spoken ways, meaning, he always thinks about what he says before he says it...but he will say it as he's also inherited a bit more of his mothers brazen and strong willed mannerisms as well.
[Female]
Adalaide is a princess..and she knows it. Vanity might not be a characteristic that most find appealing but Adalaide finds nothing wrong with flaunting what your mother gave you..and her mother gave her plenty. Thankfully..although vain, Adalaide is not in any way mean spirited and doesn't go out of her way to rub her good looks in others faces...she just doesn't deny it when it's mentioned.
Perhaps a little bit haughty thanks to her noble birth (Her mother IS a queen you know!) Adalaide likely has a great deal of growing up to do if she ever hopes to live up to her mothers image, being regal after all has a great more to it then just being pretty. Her inner good nature and generally gentle spirit however will see her through in the end and its hard to believe that Adalaide won't, at some point, grow into a fine and lovely mare both inside AND out.
Plot Ideas:
I prefer plots to develop through RP..but here are some vague thoughts...
Family RP & Herd(s) RP - This will be very important for either Adalaide or Lionel, Lionel must gain the love of herd that will set him on the path to becoming a homebody protector and Adalaide needs to grow into herself and learn that being pretty is not exactly all she needs in life. These RPs can take place in multiple ways with multiple Soquili and I'm open for plotting it out with anyone should I win.
Mistakes in Life - Both Adelaide and Lionel have different lessons they need to learn in order to grow. Lionel will need to learn that knowing what surrounds your home is just as important as home itself and its likely not a good idea to keep ignoring the world at large completely..even if he doesn't plan on leaving home ..ever. Adalaide has to learn that just because she's pretty and the daughter of a queen that doesn't mean she's a good leader and that everyone should respect and follow her. Those type of things are earned.
Newbie: N Prompt Response:
((Going to use Adalaide in the prompt..simply she fits it better & I'm doing it as more of an RP reply or RP start posts then a full response because I've never been comfortable playing other people soq in prompts even when given permission - I never feel like I'm portraying them right lol. ))
Quote: You've awoken to find that your mother has went back to check on her herd with your siblings and has left you to spend the day with your father and grandfather. How do you feel about being left behind? Do you revel the chance to spend some alone time with your father? Or do you choose to spend the time with your grandfather instead? What do you spend your time doing while your mother and siblings are away?
Adalaide was not in a good mood. Nothing put the little filly in a worse temper then waking up to find out her mother had gone somewhere without her. She was a princess! She should go everywhere with her mother! How else was she going to learn?! This was going to be a terrible day! The thoughts tumbled through her mind at near lighting speed and did very little but make her mood even worse and she stuck out her lower lip, the only outward sign of her mood that she allowed herself as she lay where she had awoken.
Well...not really, she reminded herself after a few minutes of petulant internal sulking, it wasn't often she got to spend the entire day with her father all by herself - normally she had to share him with her siblings..but they had not slept in and so had not been left behind. Perhaps he would have something interesting to show her...maybe she could talk him into taking her someplace special to make up for her being left behind...that was an intriguing thought although she had no real idea of what 'something special' could be. A meadow of flowers maybe..or a waterfall! She had always wanted to see a waterfall..in all the stories princess always washed their manes in waterfalls and then were swept away by handsome princes. Yes a waterfall it would simply have to be...Adalaide would accept no other compensation!
Forgetting about her earlier ill mood with the excitement of a waterfall to be seen (never mind that her father had not yet agreed to take her there..if there even was one) Adalaide leapt to her feet and went dashing off to find her father, spindly foal legs flying as fast as she could make them move. "Daddddy!" She shouted as she went, excitement buzzing in her voice and a clear indication that something was up.
Anything Else?:
Thanks for the chance, Love the family!

[Valkyrie || Valkyrie's are an old Norse legend about fierce warrior women who are born from three parents. Freyja and Odin as well as the woman whose battle cry at death woke them from their slumber with her bravery and dying breath. She would appear in Valhalla pregnant, so that her strength would live on through her immortal daughter. They received their human mothers bravery, their Goddess mothers beauty and their father's keen mind. Often known as Odin's girls and shield maiden's.] [Female] [Pyry || Finnish name meaning "blizzard, snowstorm."] [Male]
Personality:
[Female] Temper: Meticulous Personality: Valkyrie is a bit of an attention freak, she likes things to be organised and in place before she acts. Just like her father and grandfather she can often come across as rather quiet and thoughtful from the outside... but she does have a temper at times, something that only snaps when she has seriously had enough, when this happens though it is explosive. Perhaps it is inherited from her mother but she can often come across as rather regal. Her mind works like a giant puzzle, the pieces clicking into place as she gathers new information. Quirks: Enjoys watching lightning. Dislikes apples because she hates the ideas that bugs and works could have gotten to her meal first. Has a fascination with anything sparkly.
[Male] Temper: Rigid Personality: Pyry likes things to be done in a particular way and when they aren't he feels awkward and uncomfortable. He is rather cautious and hesitant about new things, enjoying the security of routines. Deep down he wishes to be stronger and faster and listens to his the stories he is told by his father and grandfather with almost 'hero-envy'. Quirks: Shudders if more than 70% of his body is covered in mud. Likes to wash before breakfast. Has a fear of bees. Loves puzzles and has a strange fascination with cold and icy places.
Plot Ideas:
Some of these plots are for a particular gender. Some are subject to change based on group plotting.... but here are a few ideas.
Battle-- (female) Valkyrie is swift and cunning but as a foal she will think she is bigger and badder than she actually is.... always good to have them knocked down a peg or two. Treasure Hunting-- (female) Would love this to be a group thing, but the 'treasure' they are hunting could be something odd and unusual like 'a shard of lightning'.... so it's an impossible quest but allows for some bonding. Disaster and things could happen that force the group to work together and bond, and provide much entertainment for us. Perhaps along the way one of the siblings get lost or stuck or something? I dunno, again this is something to discuss. Runt-- (male) This would be a cute little plot where Pyry worries that he is the runt and that there are issues that will surround this. Mostly it will arise because he struggles to do something his siblings can or that his father thinks he should be able to. Would be interesting to see how this progressed and who he could meet who will either help or hinder him on this. A puzzle he can't solve-- (male) It will irritate him to no end but there will be puzzles you just can never solve. Part of me would love for his siblings to set something up and he will just get more and more frustrated until they finally admit it was a trick. He will likely growl at them a little but won't stay mad for long. Great-Grandfather complex-- I think it would be fun for them to ask questions about Akuba, maybe even go in search of the stallion who they look so very much like. This could start all sorts of fun plots and RPs... including the possible plot Yumi has of getting Akuba turned into a SW.... oh the fun! My friendssssssss-- Everyone needs a friend, but I can see them actually adopting a group of familiars (maybe wolves... everyone knows I love my wolves.... but it could be a different animal) they wouldn't 'bond' officially with just one but instead find themselves constantly surrounded by all of the group. Lisp-- Would be fun for one of them to have a speech issue, and learning to overcome it. They say singing helps.... I can see embarassing getting caught situations, maybe even performances, maybe even death threats and other plots evolving around it. Why you so quiet boy...? Cat got your tongue? Fantasy Hunt-- I would love for them and their siblings to get told a story about vampire or werewolves or something and they get all excited about going on an adventure to find something... they might not find anything but it would be fun for them to have some bonding time! Not mud-- (male) Pyry does not like getting muddy but I can see his siblings playing pranks on him from time and to time.... Want something more-- Power is often a terrible thing, but sometime or other everyone (at least most people) want it.... I can see them hearing about becoming a 'werewolf' (aka skinwalker) and thinking it is a great idea.... right until they discover first hand exactly what it actually means to be such.... this will scare them straight for a long while. I have many more ideas... don't want to bore you though haha.
Newbie: N Prompt Response: Prompt 1 - Valkyrie || Female
Valkyrie woke groggy and a little light headed, with a lazy roll it took her a moment to realise she was alone... no, not alone, she could hear voices. Curious and not wanting to be alone for any long she got up with another roll and clambered to her four hooves before skipping towards the sound.... it took her a moment to realise what she saw, Papa and grandpa! Excitment bubbled up, her little tail wiggling eagerly as she practically charged her grandpa and embraced him. It wasn't often she got to see him, but she loved him being around, found his mask a thing of fascination. "Grandpa!" She chirped, she tilted her head before walking around him and sniffing him. "You smell like hot and sand... tell me! Tell me!" She always got like this, wanted to know more and more, hear all the details since they fascinated her so. "Did you miss me? Did you bring me anything pretty?" She grinned up at him before turning to see her Father and rushing towards him to embrace him too; after all she didn't want to leave him out either.
With her strong will Valkyrie had both the males eating out of her hooves, playing and telling stories and even showing her a trick or two in order to 'keep the boys away'. She had so many questions, about their armour plates and strange markings, always a hound for details.
Anything Else?: I am friends with Yumi so would love to include the Stripe and Akuba family members in the baskets plots and RPs, along with the other basket owners and parents/grandfather....I also talk with Faid who owns Sonnet (Akuba's son) so it would be fun to get him involved too... along with his daughter's. Family... yay! I love RP, currently on a mission to get all my pets to 100%. Also... I am British.

[Alice // Nobel or exalted. Mostly to take after her mother's name] [Female] [Jaeger // Hunter] [Male]
Personality:
[Female] Noble Alice knows she's great. She comes from an amazing family, her parents couldn't be better and both her parents are leaders of their own herds. Because of this she keeps her head up and doesn't allow herself to falter no matter what she does. Although sometimes she can be a bit snobbish she doesn't do so on purpose, it's simply she holds herself up to a higher standard and doesn't want to do anything below said standard. You can tell she's received some of the family stubbornness in certain matters, which will often put her in conflict with both her family and others who want to tell her how to do things.
When she grows she'll become less full of herself. She'll still hold herself to a higher standard but she'll be more willing to actually listen and maybe follow other's who have better ideas. During this time she'll travel a bit, returning often to her father's herd until she feels comfortable enough to just stay home. She wants to make her family proud above all else, and only when she knows she's done that will she feel like she has made something of her life.
[Male] Idealistic Jaeger as a foal is beyond bored. He loves his family and herd but he only really enjoys himself when he's able to explore, or travel with his parents to other places. He's not quite sure what to do with himself, since he's the youngest and least like his parents he sometimes feel like he doesn't fit in. That's when the vision hits him and changes how he feels about everything.
The dream morphs him into a dreamer, he becomes hugely idealistic, believing that there are things and magic out there, that with the right drive amazing things can happen. When he becomes an adult he wants to prove this to himself and others and he'll go on a massive adventure to find all the mystical things he can, meet all the strange creatures that he knows are out there and try to influence others the way the vision influenced him. He never knows if he'll ever settle down, but he knows that if he does he'll still keep trying to learn about the things this world tries to hide, and to make the impossible possible.
Plot Ideas: Alice: Foal: + Learning from the parents + Trying to be as graceful as her mom + Following her grandfather around + Learning a valuable lesson about pride + Kid crush that ends in rejection that teaches her she can't always get what she wants + Something that tests her stubbornness, challenging her to change how she listens to others
Adult: + Begins her journey to learn about herself and what it takes to be a good leader + Hopefully have her stubbornness further tested + Tries her hand at several different things, trying to find what she accells at + Meets someone evil who makes her wish for home + Stumbles across a male that infuriates her but makes her think + Eventually accepts the male as a friend, asking him to bring her back to her herd so she has company + Falls for the guy eventually becoming his mate
Jaeger: Foal: + Pesters his siblings + Plays pranks to alleviate his boredom + Deals with extremely vivid dreams he isn't sure what to make of + Experiences the 'Vision' making him suddenly have purpose
Adult: + Decides to start his adventure travelling + Goes to the farther edges, searching for any sign of magic + Meets both good and bad magical soq, shaping his knowledge of it + Every 6 months (Relatively to Soq time) he goes back to the herd to tell them of the wondrous things he's seen + I'm hoping to have him one day get with a girl who has something about him that intrigues him. Magically or mystically. + If his mate wants to move back into the herd they will, however he'll remain on the move
Newbie: Yep! Prompt Response: [As Jaeger]
Night was beyond boring. Everyone was so content to just laze around and sleep but Jaeger couldn't. Not when the oppertunity to slink away had just presented itself. Keeping an eye closed he peeked the other open and glanced around, cost clear! Slowly he got up and backed toward the trees, grinning when he got away with no one noticing. Yeah! Now...to explore.
He didn't get too far, he had just noticed a little hollow in a tree that he hadn't seen before when a soft laugh came from behind him. Well it sounded like a laugh. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end and slowly he turned, becoming more and more worried as a light came into his vision. He should run from it, head back to the herd and settle against his siblings and just forget about it but he couldn't. The light drew him in and before he realized it bloomed into a beautiful female.
She was stunning. She smiled at him and gestured for him to follow her as she stepped further into the forest. He followed, hypnotized by her smile and the way the light seemed to come from within. They race. She's all speed and grace while he's constantly tripping. She laughs at him and he wonders if he could ever be happier after hearing her laugh. It continues, to hide and seek games and tag, all of his favorites.
It's while they're finishing up a game of tag that he notices they aren't alone. Other spirits are appearing chasing at his heels, running beside her, brushing up against them and then suddenly slipping away as if they had never been. He's in awe. More often then not he loses sight of where he's going because he's too busy looking at them and he falls on his face. He can't feel the pain but he figures it's because he's within the presence of angels. They speak words he can't understand but he doesn't need to. That they're there is enough for him.
Each of them are different colors. The colors blending together and touching the trees around them, making them change and bloom into a multitude of different flowers. It's magic. It has to be because he can't think of anything else that would change nature in such a way outside of nature itself. They're running and running and he realizes they're running away from him. Laughing and talking with each other they seem to forget he's there and no matter how fast he goes he can't catch up. The magic is fading and he can hardly see their light. "WAIT! Please......please wait! I can't catch up! I can't....."
He wakes with a start. His legs running and heart pounding and he can still hear their laughter in his ears. His siblings are looking at him with sleepy eyes, and his parents are on high alert. He must have yelled in his sleep.....but it couldn't have been just a dream. He remembers what they looked like, everything. He sighs and lays back down, smiling. He knows they'll all probably think he's crazy but one day he wants to chase down those beautiful angels and learn their magic. He knows he will. One day...
Anything Else?: Thank you for the chance at such a lovely basket and for reading my ideas. Look forward to any rp we may have in the future >w<

[Gelade // --- The name of my female Hunter in WoW ] [Female] [Fujiiro // Light Purple] [Male]
Personality:
[Female] ♥ Temper: ♥ Collective ♥ She is calm and collective with not only her thoughts but movements and has a bad habit of sneaking but on others without meaning to. But that is only because she walks so lightly on the ground and doesn't make a sound at all. This makes playing with her siblings so much fun. And watching them jump up from her scarring them makes her giggle.
[Male] ♥ Temper: ♥ Protective ♥ He is gentle and has a protective feel to him. Not only is he willing to protect friends and family. He is like the knight in shinning armor to those around him. But that is who he is even if it lands him into trouble that most would run from. He will stand his ground and fight for what it right. After all that is the right thing for a knight like him to do.
Plot Ideas: ♥ Finding my own path. This is were Fujiiro or Gelade want to find out who they are by themselves and wishes for their parents to understand that they need move to grow and find out who they are going to grow into. ♥ Family fun time I love family RP and think a family outing would be a fun plot.
Newbie: N Prompt Response: Prompt 2 || Gelade
Gelade Slipping into another dream a vision of mother as a foal appears in front of her. They then start to chat and play games. It was like she was learning her mother's past before her very eyes. This was something that was so unreal but so wonderful all in one as she continues to enjoy the time spending with her mother's younger self. But like all good things it came to an end. Waking up finding out that it was a dream.
Gelade pouts a bit as she sees her mother and trots up to her and begins to tell her all about the dream and the vision she saw. What she had thought she learned about her mother. Her mother just smiles and feels so loved that Gelade sees her as someone fun.
As time goes on and Gelade grows up. She holds onto that dream and learnt from it how to be calm and collective in thought and movements. It helped her to move around danger without making a sound. Without the danger knowing she is there.
The vision of her mother's younger self thought her secrets of so much that it changed her way of thinking and made her listen to her mother's words more closely then her siblings did.
Anything Else?: I am better at RPing off the top of my head then I am with plotting.
Thank you for the chance to enter sure a beautiful family. Though the family makes me miss playing WoW.

Daenarya // I love Game of Thrones. And this combines the characters Daenerys and Arya. [Female] Rakiard // Again a combination of names from Game of Thrones. This one is the tribe name Dothraki, and Eddard. [Male]
Personality: Using the same personality for both genders. Minstrel.
writing as a male: Raki, as a foal, is quite loud. Even as a basket, he could be heard giving little coos and murmurs. He doesn't know why, but it always seems like his voice box has something to say, even when his mind doesn't. So he is constantly found randomly humming or trying to think up songs to sing. He is semi-happy-go-lucky. Being grown in a happy loving home. Though, through his life, his singing will take him down different roads then what he had thought ever possible.
Also, due to circumstances, he has learned to throw his voice. So, when he is singing a song in a crowd that calls for someone else to sing part of it, he can point to a soq and pass that part to them. But if they don't know the song, he can just throw his voice to seem like someone else in the crowd is singing instead of him while he seemingly does a little dance for the crowd.
When he is older, Raki will get tired of just singing of the hardships some soquili suffer, and try to rescue them. His voice throwing talent can also help him in this instance. Where he could be fighting a soq, maybe even loosing, and he throws his voice to make it seem like another is coming to his aid. This can throw off the soq that he is fighting and give him the upper hand he needed to win.
Raki is a strong personality. He loves what he does and believes that it is his destiny to become a minstrel.
When he is an adult, he travels away from his mother and siblings to learn the songs a minstrel should know. Coming home when he can, happy to sing any song he had learned to the ones that would listen.
He is strong-willed. Mostly brave, but you can't expect a soq to be fearless of every thing. He enjoys to be silly at times. But he knows the right times to be silly and when not to be. He has to if he wants to be a good minstrel.
When he is older, one of his dreams is that he will do something so great that they will write a song about him. That he will be able to sing it to his mother and be able to say that he has done something she can be proud of.
Plot Ideas: ~ Raki is starting to see that some might be annoyed of how load he gets. He can't really help it though, its as if the life inside him is filling up until it just has to burst out. He is not a violent soq, so this bursts out in tunes. He isn't really the type to bust out singing at the top of his lungs. He usually starts out humming, enjoying the vibrations in his throat, then turning into ballads or serenades. Well, one night, Raki has a dream *the rp prompt actually lol. I liked it so much it fit in so well x3* of a forest sprite inviting him to play. The little spirit dancing and singing soundlessly. It then invites Raki to sing with it and Raki does. Though the spirit then precedes to steal Rakis voice. At first, Raki is terrified that he can not make a sound. But after a moment, he realizes the little spirit has turned into a miniature of himself. Though, looking a little older. He is fascinated to see such a small, slightly older version of him sing such fantastic song and such graceful dance. He is so fascinated by the scene, that he doesn't realize at first the shadow tendrils reaching in to stifle out the little him. Raki tries to scream, though he is still silent, as the little him is enveloped by the darkness and swirled into nothing. Raki is frozen, terrified to even breath. Suddenly, the little him pops into being again, this time looking stronger, more confident as it lunged at the shadows in some type of graceful fighting dance style. The shadows recede and Raki is left peering into his own eyes, though almost as if he could see for galaxy's beyond. And before Raki could even try and figure out what the last part meant, he wakes p to a bright warm sunny day. Reason: This will show Raki that he can actually do something with his 'loudness'. That the way of the minstrel is calling him. He still doesn't understand the last part of his dream, but for now, he wishes to ask his mother all she knows of what it takes to be a minstrel. And when he is older, be able to travel and learn some songs pertaining to all the wonders of life. He will come home often, he could never stay away from his family for long.
~ When Raki is older, after a few years of being a minstrel, he will realize that it isn't all love and friendship. That there is death and heart ache as well. Raki finally comes to the conclusion that the dream he had as a foal was actually telling him of his purpose in life after mastering being a minstrel. He decides to learn a style of dancing fighting moves. He is already very skilled in the art of dance and grace. Now all he needs is for someone to teach him how to translate that into fighting *GoT Syrio FTW!!!*. Reason: This finally provides Raki with a feel of being needed. He is ecstatic to finally understand what he considers a dream prophecy to have meant.
~ Raki finally finds someone to teach him in the way of dance fighting. Though it is a lot harder then he would have imagined. He is using and straining muscles that he had thought he trained long ago. He is even tempted to give up. Maybe this teacher isn't really what his future held. But no, he needs to stick with it! He demands himself to stick with it, knowing that in the end, it will all be worth while and he will be able to finally help others instead of just singing about them. Reason: Raki is finally able to start on his journey of what he thinks he is meant to do. It is draining and exhausting work. But the faith of him being able to do good work with what he will learn keeps him on track and having the faith in himself to continue.
Newbie: No Prompt Response: #2; The Dream Leads to a Future?
Raki's eyes were closed, his mind empty and falling into sleep so quickly that he hadn't even noticed it. His dream eyes fluttering open. Warm sun light streaming through the branches hanging down in front of him. He wasn't quite sure how he had managed to fall asleep in the forest, but, he surely must have if he was waking up there. When he yawned, he squeezed all the tiredness out that was left in him from after his nap. Standing happily as the warmth of the sun beamed on him.
Though, he could almost swear, that right in front of him, there seemed to be a path where the forest got darker. How intriguing. Darkness in the middle of the day, it was almost laughable. Raki's mouth twitched up at the thought, though instead of laughing, he decided to start humming instead. Swishing his tail to the rhythm he had made as he high-stepped down the path to the dark part of the forest. Upon reaching the entrance of what seemed to be the path of the dark part of the forest, Raki slowed his high-stepping and cautiously moved forward, his humming breaking in parts. A small gulp as he prepared himself for some large own to pop out and scare him.
Something did pop out ahead, though it was neither an owl, nor large. Raki squinted just to try and make out what it was. Some kind of floating translucent green thing. It surely must be a bug. Raki tried to step as quietly as he could in a forest as he tried to closer without scaring the green bug-like thing. -snap-. Raki winced as the prickle of the broken stick prodded his ankle, just as its noice broke the silence he tried so hard to create.
The green creature darted into the trees as Raki's heart dropped from disappointment. Only to jump from surprise as the creature darted in front of him, flying close to his face. And it too had a face! A little human face, and body even. The young horse didn't dare breath as the little human slowly reached a hand out to his muzzle. Only to giggle and dart in a zig zag down the path. Raki breathed the breath that was caught in his throat and quickly followed her. Asuming she was not afraid of him, he tried to call out to her to get her to stop, but she just kept flyying down the dark path.
He followed her through a bush on the side of the path as she lunged forward. Raki's eyes were closed tight as to not get hurt from the brush, calling out "Wait! How are you so small? Are you really a human?" And he was through the brush to see a small clearing. I the middle, the green little creature was dancing gracefully on an old dead tree stump. Raki blinked his eyes at the creature. Her slender arms sweeping the air as her dance movements glided her across the stump almost as smoothly as her wings did. Fluttering every so often, as if to some inaudible tune.
Raki's steps were silent this time as he steped to her slowly, awe filling his small foal eyes. It was the most gorgeous thing he had seen. And then he noticed the little creatures mouth. It was moving. As if the little creature was singing, though no sound was coming from her either. She glidded higher, running her tiney thin hand over Raki's long jaw bone and opened her mouth wide, wpreading her arms wider.
Raki knew an inventation to sing when he saw one. He took a slow deep breath, and began to sing the words to a song he did not know. A song that just appeared in his heart at the moment he opened his muzzle. This happened often with him. What happened next had never happened to him before. Raki could feel his throat start to close prematurely. An green fog escaping his mouth as he breathed out his last few notes. The little female breathing in every whisp of fog and a burst of song escaped on her breath out. She smiled at the young foal and glided over to the stump. Landing and turning calmly to stand and look at him.
Raki was not so calm. His eyes grew wide as his mind screamed, and not a tremor of sound escaped him. He had lost it. No, he had not lost it, he knew exactly where it was. He rushed to the stump, trying to scream his hardest to get the female to understand him. He quickly started to hyperventilate and had to close his eyes as he took in deep breathes. The tiniest of relief felt when the females small slender hand rested over one of his nostrils.
Raki's breathing was finally in control. Slowly, he opened his eyes, realizing the hand had left his muzzle moments ago while he tried to calm. Eyes regained focus. Only to confuse his mind with what he saw. It was....him! But...green? He stared down at the tiny green version of himself on the stump. A silent exasperated chuckle making the female giggle. Raki's head shook in confusion as he heard the female giggle come from the tiny green version. She only gave a little smile in return and touched her tiny nose to his.
To Raki's surprise, when the female started to sing, it was in his voice. Though, a voice he had never used before. One with pitches and lows. A voice with long notes surrounded by quick blurbs being sung from the heart. It was almost enough to make the purple foal forget where he was and fall into the music as it enveloped him in the glade.
So enthralled by his own voice able to sound as the female used it, he had not seen the shadows creeping up the sides of the stump. Oozing and slinking till they reached the ledge of the stumps top. Silently, they struck the little female. Lashing out and burning her with their taint. Raki could only blink in horror as he processed the scene that had changed in a second. By the time the foal tried to reach out with his hoof, the female was swirling smaller and smaller, shadow covering more and more till....
Nothing. Nothing but the glade, the stump, and a voiceless Rakiard remained. His hoof hovered over the spot the female had disappeared from. Stunned. What would he do now? How could he explain this to his parents? There was no words to describe any thing that had gone on since Raki had entered that dark path. No words would ever echo from his muzzle again.
Tears fell onto the stump as all he could do was weep silently. Was there any point in going back to his parents now? Surely they would think him cured and banish him. Raki hiccuped a sob as the thought occurred to him that at least some might be happy with his new found silence. Some had never enjoyed how easily it was for him to burst into a humming spree. Or to string words together with notes.
Once again, wrapped in his own thoughts, Raki missed the movement at the edge of the ledge. One small green hoof appeared. Then another. Till finally, his smaller version was on the stump, yanking the remaining shadow off itself.
Raki's eyes burst wide with a flood of emotions. If he wasn't careful, he could bring this dead stump back to life with how much water was falling from his eyes. He stared hard at the green winged horse, was it really there? Was it really still alive? But its movements had not ceased. The small green creature grabbed a sturdy twig and jabbed at the shadow. Dodging its return strike as she spun in a circle. Twig blade hugged close to her body as she then lunged back at the shadow from another position.
Even if Raki had the ability to speak, he wouldn't know what to call the movement the small creature was using. It seemed as though it was fighting with some sort of dance. It was the most exciting thing the foal had ever seen!
In one last effort, the shadow bundled itself all together as small as it could, then leapt forward, stretching as far to the green female as far as it could. And failing. The female stabbed the twig in her mouth deep within the shadow. It convulsed and slunk down to the stump. As it lay there, unmoving, a leaf fell from the tree above them. Opening a small hole for light to come in and shine down on the shadow. Making it disappear, forever.
The small green creature stood on the stump, breathing heavy from the gap the twig made in her mouth. Wings drooping over her sweat streak side. She laid her twig gently on the stump when she had gotten her breathing under control. All Raki could do was gaze at the little him in wonder as it smiled sheepishly up at him. Was that really Him? Could He really do that some day? Fight in the style of dance that the small green creature had demonstrated?
His wondering was broken as the female voice came from his small body again. "Little one. Do not fret over the dangers that come your way. With the true heart you posses. And the bravery that has been passed down to you. You will do great things. Now, if you will, I would like for you to join me in one last song."
Raki frowned at her words. Last song? He would see his new friend again... wouldn't he? Even if she had taken his voice forever, surely if he took her to meet his parents, they would understand and not believe he was cursed. But with the little version of him patiently staring up at him, he gave a little nod and opened his mouth. Song exiting the tiny creature to once again enter Raki.
Almost unused to his voice, Raki gasped as his voice whinnied from his mouth. He stared deep into the creatures eyes as she gave a little smile and nodded to him, a little gesture to remind him of her last words to him.
Rakiard once again opened his eyes to sunlight. Though he was no where near the forest, or the dark path he had left the tiny creature. His head raised to take in his surroundings. His two older siblings playing happily. It was hard to keep the happy hum from escaping his throat. A smile crept to his lips as he thought while standing. Though, he shouldn't really care. On second thought, maybe he would try singing like the tiny version of him had. And the first ones he was sure to be happy to hear his happy tune, would of course be his mother and siblings. Happily, running over to greet them.
Anything Else?: Hot dang, this sounds like it can be so fun to rp *u*. Enjoy my brick post lD. It might not be pretty, but it was heck of a lot of fun to type x3. Good luck, everyone 4laugh

Because any beryllium synthesized in stars is short-lived, it is a relatively rare element in both the universe and in the crust of the Earth. It is a divalent element which occurs naturally only in combination with other elements in minerals. Notable gemstones which contain beryllium include beryl (aquamarine, emerald) and chrysoberyl. -I picked this name to go with the dads since obsidian while not a mineral is very mineral like and the foal will have green eyes and many minerals that come from Beryllium have a green color. Newbie: N 0 Prompt Response: 1
Beryllium felt very conflicted as she watched her mother and her sibling leave to meet a couple of Victoria ‘s old friends. Beryllium didn’t do well with interacting with strangers and felt relief that she was being left in the custody of her grandfather. She felt a calm relaxing acceptance from Moam.
Perhaps because Moam was such a strong stallion but felt unease over the appearance of his face. Dad never seemed to feel insecurities over his appearance or if he did he didn’t speak it and mom was so elegant & lovely. Victoria and Obsidian were both filled with so much magnitude and strength it left Beryllium feeling very insecure over meeting their expectations . She knew both her parents would love her whatever direction Beryllium’s life followed but she knew being a herd leader was not her fate.
Beryllium daintily walked up to Moam and leaned against him. She sighed in contentment as she felt safe and secure in the company of her grandfather. He had a mild woodsy scent and a strong protecting presence that put her at ease. “ Grandpa why is it so hard?” Beryllium said as she buried her nose into his coat.
“ What’s hard little one,” Moam asked thoughtfully.
“life-I’m just so tired of feeling like the odd ball in the family. Like I’m the pigeon living among a family of cranes. Their all so elegant and I’m sort and squat” Beryllium bemoaned.
“Your beautiful and just learning to use your legs in the world. There will be a time when you’ll grow to be more confident especially when you get to the point where you’ll want to protect your loved ones. Age and love are the two medicines to bring about catalyst of change” Moam said wisely.
“Do you really think I could change grandpa?” Beryllium said in words tinged in disbelief.
“Beryl(her family nickname) you need to realize there is warrior blood running through your veins. You will often hold emotions within your heart and then let your feelings explode in a rush of words –you need not let your emotions come boiling out but in general share your feeling with others. I want other soq to understand what an incredibly intelligent and beautiful granddaughter I was given” Moam said proudly.
Beryllium stopped pouting and she lifted her head up a little higher as she regarded her grandpa.”Your just saying that because were related.”
“Beryl your fast –though I don’t necessarily approve of you using your speed and intelligence to liberate objects from others.” Moam sighed as he reflected on that particular behavior but his chiding would best be said on another day. "Your generous and often give small gifts to soq who are having a hard time. You are always willing to run errands for your mom and you show respect toward the family elders . Not only do you have a pretty inside but your outside is just as lovely –though you probably won’t believe me to you have some stallion drooling at you with an stupefied expression of love reflected in his eyes.” Moam said with a bit of relief, glad that it was his son’s future problem safeguarding little Beryl.
“Hmm I am whicked fast! Beryllium said proudly as she swayed side to side in a dance of excitement. Before Moam other words sunk it “Ah about that –well I know it’s bad but those objects were not being loved and another soq trash is another soqs treasure” she hurriedly explained but retained a bashful demeanor.
Moam tried to retain a neutral expression on his face when secretly he was a bit amused by this grandchild. She was a true spitfire and once she had grown out of her insecurities she was going to set the world on fire. He loudly chuckled in a booming voice as he imaged all the trouble this little one was going to get in and how his son was going to be always on his feet getting her out trouble.
Anything Else?:
I really love the dad’s family and the mom's so pretty. It's going to be neat regardless of the results to see a new WoW related generation come into being.

[Elizabeth // (it means God’s Promise, the other reason I wanted to name her that is because much like her mother’s name a name of a well known queen)] [Female] [Arkose //Its actually a type of rock much like Obsidian is <3 ] [Male]
Personality:
[Female] Elizabeth is a bit of a handful as a filly, she wants to one day grow up to be a protector, almost fancies herself a knight or fighter. She is rather brash in her behavior rushing into danger, not thinking about the situation before hand, always speaking and saying things she doesn’t mean. She doesn’t quite understand the idea of wisdom, and the importance of the role of her mother plays.
When she gets older she will learn to appreciate her mother and what her mother tries to teach her about being more of a lady (more of queenly figure versus brash wild thing). Elizabeth is still rather generous, wanting to do what she can for others even if that doesn’t mean rushing straight into danger. Much like her dad she may disappear, going on mini adventures.
[Male] Arkose is a shy foal, he doesn’t speak a lot until he warms up to you thinking of you as a rather precious friend. He has a rather honest like nature to him, he doesn’t like to lie but at the same time doesn’t want to harm’s another feelings by telling them the truth, IE he may not like something that you give him however he feels a sense of guilt not accepting. He does have a sense of adventure like his father but his since of honest keeps him from going off to much and wandering (he doesn’t want to disobey his parents).
As he gets older he gets a little better at not feeling so guilty in telling other the truth, he doesn’t stay with the pride/herd of his parents however he does visit very visit them very often not wanting them to feel like he doesn’t love them. He does travel finding a way to aid others who are in need following his grandfather’s motto of going after his own happiness. Maybe after he finds love he returns home to the herd, or he could start forming his own small gathering or herd. He does have a rather large heart, I think he would be rather a little large but a large teddy bear.
Plot Ideas: Female: I would love when she is younger to get in a little argument with her mother about her wanting to be this sort of knight figure which in reality is Elizabeth just being rather brash and not thinking before she acts. I would love to see her mother try to help understand the idea of being wise and what is really important about what she does.
Would love to do something where on her adventure she aids a little foal, either they could have hurt themselves or they are lost and alone. She could help them travel with them to find his or her parents or it may that something tragic has happen to them she adopts them as her own.
I would also love to have her go off on her first mini adventure, maybe her father tailing along behind her letting her think she is off on her own (it in Obsidian’s post that the open road isn’t for foals yet, it is just a thought of still being young but wanting to be independent and him not feeling she is there yet). Eventually she will figure out her father is there, either she will catch him or get into a situation that she can’t handle all by herself.
Male: As I mentioned he is a rather honest little foal, it would be fun to have him meet another foal in the herd that maybe gives him something, or maybe even one of his siblings give him something as a gift that he doesn’t really like it. So he is rather haunted by the fact that he lied to them saying that he loves it and will use it/wear it all the time. The next day he could rush to them working up the courage to tell him he doesn’t like it though he really appreciates the thought.
I know he is stil a basket/foal at this moment but I think it would be awesome that he meets a lot of new soquili while out on his travels. One of the soquilis that he helps stays with him and eventually they fall in love and as he realizes his happiness is with her. Or it could someone he knows from the herd, someone he meets as a foal and they are friends. He leaves and she eventually goes after him showing that his happiness was always at home not on the road.

Quote: A mix of 1 and 3 biggrin : You've awoken to find that your mother has went back to check on her herd with your siblings and has left you to spend the day with your father and grandfather. How do you feel about being left behind? Do you revel the chance to spend some alone time with your father? Or do you choose to spend the time with your grandfather instead? What do you spend your time doing while your mother and siblings are away?
The dew lingered on the blades of grass as the sun was creeping its orange rays across the lands. Elizabeth slowly opened her eyes as she looked at one of the clear droplets. There was a tinge of color in it not the color of the blade of grass but more of the color of her eyes, or at least the color her mother had told they were whenever she asked her. She blinked a few times, and let out a yawn as she started to stretch her legs releasing them from the stiffness that had grown over night. The dew of course moved, sliding to the ground dampening it underneath her hooves. It was quiet as the memories of the chattered from the night before started to become clear in her groggy head. Her mother and her siblings had left, traveling back to her own herd for a visit. Her little tail started to wiggle as she remembered that she had stayed wanting to hang out with her father for the day.
The question was, where was he so early? She looked around seeing the familiar faces of the members of the herd. She wasn’t left there alone, there was always eyes watching over her protecting her from any harm that could come, besides her father was never too far away. He would come running if she ever let out even one little scream of being in danger, though she was sure that she wouldn’t need to. Elizabeth was big enough to take care of herself already, her mother disagreed but she was sure she was ready for any sort of danger.
Puffing her chest out a little as if she was about to embark on some great quest, she started to head towards the source of water that the pride had. Maybe he was there on a morning swim or at least a morning drink?
Nope, he wasn’t there as a feeling of disappointment that she was wrong settled in the bottom of her stomach. As Elizabeth got close she started peeking around the edges of where the water lapped across the ground. There was little fishes there, minnows nibbling along the rocks.
“Here baby fishies here here,” She replied sticking the edge of her nose on the top of the water watching them swim away. Giggling she turned her back heading giving a sort of skipping gallop towards the center of the herd were most of the commotion took place.
“Now where is he….” Elizabeth whispered hopping around, passing the tall totem pole that loomed far above her head. She had yet to ask what it stood for, curious about what sort of stories lingered in its history.
But that would have to wait for another day as she spotted the familiar figure of purple hair, “DAD! There you are!”
Her little hooves couldn’t carry her fast enough as a grin spread across Elizabeth’s muzzle. “So so so so are you going to teach me today! Some training right! PLEEAASEEEEE you promised me!” He looked at her as she gave him a rather silly face, much like large eyes and a little pout like a puppy, “PLLEEASSEEEE.”
She wiggled her tail hoping he wouldn’t say no.
Anything Else?: I’m sorry <3 it was such a lovely basket I couldn’t resist at least giving it a try <3

[Scoria// an extremely vesicular mafic volcanic rock] [Female] [Trachyte // a silica undersaturated volcanic rock; essentially a feldspathoid-bearing rhyolite] [Male]
Personality:
[Male+Female] The foal shall be very similar to her mother. Regal, poised, and hold an air to her that suggests she may be of royal decent. Even at a young age she'll hold such traits, and often times be considered much too mature for her age. She will pick up on these graceful habits though by observing her mother quite often, admiring the older mare a great deal. And like her father, she will often times watch others, and take note of their behavior or how they react to given situations to evaluate how she too should follow. She values her family greatly, and yearns to please them, and make them proud of her, hoping to live up to any expectations they hold for her. It's not often that the filly will speak, not being necessarily shy, but just a bit on the reserved side, and just in general pretty quiet. Commonly she won't even speak unless spoken to, even in regards to strangers she's just meeting, probably only giving them a polite nod of her head. As she gets older though, she may come to verbally greeting them... this all depends with roleplay.
All in all, she'll be a very proper sort of girl, but not uptight to where she can't get dirty and have fun. She will be intelligent, and her habit of observing will aid her in understanding situations probably more in depth than most. That being said, though she seems composed, there are some subjects that can fluster her, to bring a blush to her cheeks... such as romance. It is something she will hold dear, and sacred.
Plot Ideas: I don't really come up with plots until RP is actually done, so I can't really say much here.
- I'd love for her to have quite a little pack of friends that she hangs out with, gets to know, and grows up with, where she can be the confidant that they often go to with secrets, concerns, or for advice.
- I would also like if she could find a soq that she really finds impressive, and sort of looks up to as a role model. {besides her parents.} someone she'll sort of hold a silent star struck view on.
- I think it'd be awesome if she could spend some time with her grandfather moam some more. he seems like someone she could really look up to as well, and admire.
- going on an adventure with her pops sounds like fun too.

That glowing light... like an ethereal being that'd descended from nothingness. It's radiance coaxed and beckoned, whispering silently like ribbons of wind curling in the bowl of ones ear. It slithered, and slunk like a snake silently traversing the forest floors, not even disturbing a decaying leaf, nor a fragile twig beneath its wake. The words weren't comprehensible, or of a language that Scoria knew... yet she understood. So soft, and ginger, was the sound. So inviting and vivid was the light. In a way it held a resemblance to a mother when gently waking her filly. The whisper decrescendoed, into a fluttering giggle, before the light suddenly dashed off. Without even a second of thought, Scoria's legs reacted, making her follow that elusive creature. It danced so blissfully, swirling, and twirling, leaping and bounding. The giggles continued to bubble from time to time, echoing like a chiming bell. Scoria was entranced, lashes not once batting, gaze honed on the ecstatic spirit. The happiness that seemed to spill from it was contagious, even drawing a vague smile on the younglings lips, and a twitch from her nubby tail. Such an intoxicating sensation this was... The gentle brush of grass blades skimming along her legs were magnified, as well as the wind that weaved through her short mane, and skated past her rounded cheeks. Though there was just darkness, the light provided her with a sense of comfort, stability, and a lack of fear towards the unknown.
And suddenly, it was all gone... Silence, with neither darkness nor light. There's a pause, before her eyes slowly peel open again. The first thing that hits her is... a damp, musky scent, laced with earth. It was somewhat muggy, but a subtle chill graced along with it just enough to cause discomfort. Ears twitched as the sound of the tiniest droplets plummeting to some sort of surface, and the eerie exhale of something in the distance... Her head lifted, and her vision took over. She was in a cave... but it was near the mouth of it, providing light to illuminate the majority of the are she'd wound up laying on. It was dull, due to the overcast of clouds hovering in the sky, but just enough for her to realize... this wasn't her body.
Pink legs... with hints of white intertwined in designs that were very familiar... Her hair was long, slipping along slender shoulders that were larger than her own... she was... someone else. Her eyes blinked multiple times to try and grasp the concept of what was going on. Not only was she an adult, but in the vessel of someone she felt she'd met before... however there was hardly anytime to think, she was moving now, suddenly, body hoisted onto sturdy hooves. Hesitantly she trotted to the edge of the cave's entrance, the body moving without her need to control it, gaze slipping from one side to the next, ears swiveled forward, attentive, alert as the thickly dense coniferous forest before her stood silent and still. There was barely even the sound of birds cawing and crying, wind barely rustling the thick pines of the evergreens... Something wasn't right...
But she stepped out, cautiously, keeping on the lookout with her gaze never ceasing to scan her surroundings. Her breath was low, intakes and exhales as quiet as possible, ears twitching and swerving about to pick up on even the smallest hints of a tick.. She had to keep moving. There was a sense of urgency that made her movements swift, but careful, and the adrenaline in her system start to enter her bloodstream. Almost as if there were.. an impending doom craning just over her, its fingers trailing just on the nape of her neck. It made her gut clench with nerves that were starting to rise up, stirring restlessly like an agitated ocean. Something was here...
Her heart was pulsing rapidly in her ears, pumping, and beating at an increased pace as her steps grew more fluid and faster, a canter kicking up rather than a trot. What was she running from...? she didn't dare look back, even though she so desperately wanted to... something was behind her. She knew it.. And in an attempt to overtake the situation, and act on her own, Scoria tried to imagine this unknown body turning its head just enough to take a peek... just one peek.
No! Don't! A female's voice practically gasped, and shouted.
But it was far too late. Scoria had looked back... onto a sight that was nothing but a foals worst nightmares. Skinwalkers... purest of their breed, pursuing the body she was sharing. An entire pack of them... far as the eye could see. They were right on her heels... their breath panting along her hide, fierce eyes staring relentlessly, the hunger so very evident. The saliva dripped from sharp fangs, that glistened like dirtied moonlight, their snarls rising up with excitement and elation. She had made the mistake of locking eyes with their leader... who reared up his mighty head, and gave a merciless growl before lowering his head firmly, mouth wide open, to inflict his attack.
A scream shrieked out, shrill, sharp, and defined...
Olive green glowers flipped open quickly, head lifting swiftly, with a heaving chest rising and falling frantically. Young eyes snapped about, in a dazed, yet clearly frightened nature. Tree's, grasses, the sound of blissful birds twittering from one to the other... the sweet aroma of a dancing breeze whisked past, holding spices and herbs picked from various lands. Where... what...? There was warmth and pressure at her side, which when her head turned to investigate, revealed to be the powerful stallion that was her grandfather. His bulky body supported her own delicate, and small one, providing a sense of safety and ease. A... a dream... It'd only been a dream... the distressed filly quickly averted her eyes from the aged males gaze, almost as if she were embarrassed by the flustered state she was in. Gently, she turned her head to nuzzle into the comforts of his dark pelt, inhaling the scent that soothed and calmed her from the nightmare that'd plagued her. Petite ears flicked as she heard the sound of her siblings playing nearby, chatting with one another, their father also in tow, watching the youngsters frolic and explore the vast plain they'd taken to residing in for the time being. Mother wasn't there... where.. was she? but upon listening closely, Scoria could hear the whining and complaining of one of her siblings asking about the older mares return. A chuckle from father showed that apparently her whereabouts were nothing to be concerned of... and assured that she would return soon. But Scoria couldn't help but still feel uneasy from her dream... why had that mare felt so familiar? why... had she dreamt that..? she pondered heavily on the matter, mulling silently, staring at the tall stalks of wild grasses that bowed and swayed casually to the manipulation of the ribbons of air swirling about. Mother would return soon enough, father had said... and so Scoria would hold true to that... Retaining her more composed nature, the quiet filly decided she felt better keeping close to her grandfather's embrace, and watched her more boisterous siblings in their games.
She would wait for mother to return. And hope her vision was simply that of twisted fantasy, concocted by some sort of mischievous spirit.
Anything Else?: thank you for the opportunity~

Username: vballlvr5 Name & Meaning: The first names have the regal qualities as "Victoria" does while also pertaining to his/her disability. Rhyolite is a rock like "Obsidian." [Cornelius Rhyolite] [Male] Cornelius- literally means "horn" however, St. Cornelius is the patron saint of ailments such as earaches and against earache Rhyolite- A volcanic rock. It possesses crystals but if the lava fails to form crystals and is essentially all glass, then it is called an obsidian. Rhyolite [Meriadoc Rhyolite] [Female] Meriadoc- St. Meriadoc is the patron saint of deafness Rhyolite- same as above
**Rhy is the nickname for both of them used mainly by siblings and close friend however his/her parents tend to use the first name (Cornelius/Meriadoc)
Personality: same for both [Male/Female] Pondering [Male/Female] written as male, but same for either Rhy was not born deaf but became so soon after due to an accident involving falling into an icy lake/river. Because of this he is not mute, however he can no longer hear except for an occasional ringing noise. The silence in his head allows him to easily block out his surroundings and think which he enjoys. The lack of hearing has also enhanced his other senses. His vision is sharpened. This has increased his agility, but not necessarily stealth as he can not tell how loud he is moving. That is until develops his (also heightened) perceptions of touch. His skin is very sensitive to touch so pain is increased in physical encounters, but he can also feel vibrations in the ground through his hooves. This allows him to sense movement near him when a hidden creature is nearby. His sense of smell also allows him to trace new creatures near him. His senses of smell and taste allow him perceive slight variations in plants (handy for identifying poisons . . .) He is relatively quiet and after he first loses his hearing his parents think he may have also become mute because he does speak for quite some time. He prefers to stay inside his head and to think, but it very good at giving advice. He would not be considered a "heroic" figure because he prefers not to interfere with other soquilis journeys. He believes everyone should learn for themselves and gain experience.
Plot Ideas: He speaks! - Family plot that occurs when he is a foal. Rhy begins to speak again after his accident. Do you know I exist? - Adult. Another soquili approaches him in an Teach me - The teacher becomes the students when Rhy meets a bubbly soquili who seeks to engage Rhy more deeply into life as he tends to separate himself from those around him. Another - Rhy meets someone who is also deaf (or maybe mute) and they bond. If the "other" is mute they will have to find a way to communicate. Newbie: No Prompt Response:
Prompt #2 Wrote: As being a foal dictates, you grow bored quickly and often. This is a dream. Just something a little fun and different for a prompt.
Rhy snuggled against his siblings as he tried to become comfortable. His ears had been ringing all day and that paired with teeny sticks (pinestraw) beneath him and poking him in the back he couldn't sleep. He had no idea why is family didn't feel the poking sensation like he did. Finally the light around him started to fizzle as he drifted off to sleep.
It was very peculiar. He could have sworn that he just heard something. But how could that be? He hadn't heard anything aside from that irritating ringing since he fell into the icy water. There it went again. It was a tiny rabbit hopping through the wooded trail. Curious Rhy followed the little gray thing. It was running all over the place and he enjoyed chasing it all the while he was busy absorbing all that sounds. Suddenly he glanced up, only to be met in the eyes with glowing orb. So bright that his eyes burned. Then everything went white and he felt himself falling.
White. white. white. He saw nothing. He heard nothing. He felt NOTHING. What had happened?? Slowly warmth reentered his body and a soft music came trickling into his ears but he still couldn't see. He wandered around running into things. Sharp. Pointy. Painful. Was he asleep? Rhy was overcome with terror. Choking darknesss. Black. Killing light. White.
Then it was over. The music stopped and he saw his siblings. Perhaps sight is a greater thing. HE would see.
