Wen looked over the small number that had shown. He recognized most of them, had not talk to them but knew their faces and their dragons colors. He spared a brief smile at the girl with the little green, one of the few to impress off the sands and gave Cai a nod of greeting before focusing on the white rider. Mercy and Aerith. His face didn't move but he sent a wave of amusement and 'impulsive, reckless behavior to his partner.'
Rynsemth grumbled, but pressed into his rider's sturdy if slim legs anyhow, content blue green eyes looking over the hatchlings. He greeted the crimson politely, turning eyes over his two clutch siblings that had so far showed. He then spared a glance at the rather nosy brown. He picked up a foot, taking a moment to inspect his talons in general boredom. The spotted blue he had exchanged pleasantries during the clutch wasn't here.
'Tiakimerth,' Wen supplied mild, picking up what Rynsemth was combing for in his memories.
Rynsemth grumbled and stretched out, hunkering down and wings spread. Not at all concern, nope. He settled back down on all fours, sending his rider a brief pulse of gratitude.

~Well yes she does. I just never thought of calling someone by a physical feature.~ Miath sounded amused by the idea. She vaguely understood the concept of nicknames, only because Cai referred to herself as a shortened name rather than her full one. Having a name not based off your own was something new, and it had caught the young dragon's interest.
Maybe a nap could wait till later. Miath trilled happily as more of her clutchsiblings arrived and greetings were exchanged. Miath didn't distinguish between Suunath's hatchlings or Hyweths. For the most part, unless she was deliberately reminded, she forgot there had even been two clutches. Who's mother was who was given little thought in the crimson's mind. To her, they were all siblings.
She greeted Jaggeth first with a chirp. ~ Hello to you too! I'm very well. I hope you are the same?~ Malcarreth in turn, received much the same as he gave though in a much warmer tone. ~ Good Morning, brother. ~ Rynsemth got by far the most enthusiastic response. Miath knew she knew him, and her vague recollections were all very positive though the actual Hatching day was long forgotten. ~ Rynsemth! We are excellent! How are you and yours? ~ She stretched from where she lay and sat up into a more alert pose.
Cai flushed just a little in surprise as she caught smiles from both Rochelle and C'tis. Her eyes darted to the other weyrlings around her before she gave a small, almost awkward smile back. Her own hand lifted from where it rested on her other elbow and returned C'tis's greeting.
She was saved, for the time being, from figuring out what to do or say next when Mercy called for attention.

Phiroth snorted and looked up at Ahmenna. The green looked around and blinked. Sitting as straight as possible, the green waited for the class to start.Ahmenna snorted back. I believe so. On a ship, wasted words means wasted time. Don't waste time. We will learn today and we must remember much. We can do this. These waters are much different from the ones I know.
She looked back at the others who were talking amongst themselves but quieted once Mercy spoke again. At least, perhaps, they would be a respectful group.

"Well you've probably made us late," Soral muttered as he half-heartedly pushed on his green's rump. Aukoith let the boy push until she could see her hatchmates. She lurched forward to greet them. Soral wound up with his face on the ground. He sighed and got to his feet, brushing himself off. "Well at least we're here now," he said to himself.

Humans are silly indeed. Kibeth said to Miath before she turned her attention onto the Weyrlingmaster. Even if her rider insisted on being a bit light in the head at times, one of them had to listen to what the woman and white dragon had to say. Be safe?
No sex, fighting, drinking, or drugs. Rochelle murmured back. And don't ask what one of those happens to be. C'tis did, though, get a small elbow into his arm with a little grin. Awww, look! They got Cai to smile. --Cai! yes. Some little part of Rochelle sang in triumph in being able to remember the girls shorter name. She wriggled her fingers at Cai, misunderstanding the return greeting to C'tis for one at them both. Oh well.
Are they going to learn anything useful? Like, how to listen to their dragons? She murmured to Malcarreth.

While both dragon and weyrling were curious about lessons the pair of them really just could not give a flying flit between about the others they knew would be there. That and neither seemed to care in the least that they were late nor showed any hurry over the fact as green and rider walked towards the lesson. Medura had been up late doing star charts and Syth frankly despised all her siblings and other idiotic clutchmates and did not look forward in the least to being anywhere near them.
I don't see why we had to come. Couldn't we learn this from one of your scrolls or books Mine? Why must I stoop to having to learn on their level? Syth complained as she and Medura stopped near the far back of the crowd the scarred woman eyeing the gathering with cold emotionless eyes.
Because the sooner we learn whatever they want to teach us the sooner we can leave. Medura answered glancing at the white dragon and candidate master and the looming gold with distaste. What? The pretty queen didn't think the white and her rider could do a good enough job on their own? Or did she just like making the others nervous and sticking her nose into every little thing? Fool. Came Syth's derisive snort of agreement.

Malcarreth said casually to any dragon who cared to hear. His rider scowled down at him and in as much as a dragon was capable of it Malcarreth smirked; mostly he felt smirky rather than actually smirking, dragons don't really have the faces for it. he added unrepentantly.
Seen as Malcarreth was ignoring his scowl C'tis gave up for the time being, scowl melting away to leave his scarred face neutral. "Here comes another," he nodded in the direction of the approaching girl who shared his distinction of face-scarring. "First to Impress wasn't she?... Where is Aleck? Did he fall over an interesting rock and have to stop to study its unique and consider its potential applications, to wit 'can I make it go bang?'"

M'rine knew they were more than fashionably late. They had been on time until Belith insisted on a detor. A lengthy detor and delay. He walked through the group with his head still high. While he felt the brown's interest in the people and dragons already there he knew what he had to do first. He waited until the basic introductions were complete before he approached.
"Weyrlingmaster. Our apologies for being late. Belith saw two drudges arguing and insisted we stop and help." He gave a bow with his apology. Then he noticed the gold sitting with the white. He thought it odd the goldrider would be there, but called greeting as well. "Good morning Weyrwoman."I was the right thing to do M'rinemine." The brown commented to his rider before turning to Mercy. I'm sorry we are late Weyrlingmaster.
Belith turned his head from where he stood beside His to see who all else was present. Greetings Aerith, and Sunnath. He bobbed his head to the two older dragons. Duty discharged he looked around for a place to sit and listen. Over there M'rinemine. The brown had spotted Iafri and Girofleth sitting alone.
He headed determinedly over, leaving His to follow. Half way there Belith spotted another green and called a cheerful greeting. Aukoith! Soral! Good morning. We are going over to join that green. You should join us. His eyes whirled a happy blue as he plopped beside Girofleth. How are you? He asked rider and dragon.M'rine had a slightly amused smile as the social brown decided who he wanted to sit with. "Morning," he greeted the rider who looked like she'd rather not be here.

The black snorted, holding his head regally, eyes whirling blue green in pleasure. He enjoyed talking to the elegantly pattern crimson and his partner thought the young woman was intelligent.
Wen hummed slightly, standing relaxed and waiting for the lesson to get on. He could be doing a number of other things, besides waiting for the rest of the weyrlings to show so they could actually start the lesson. He tipped his head, gaze shifting with his dragons as Rynsemth took offense from something said by the very lovely spotted blue dragon. 'Mine?'
Rynsemth settled back down, relaxing.

Mercy/Aerith
'The little ones are busy socializing I think.' Aerith remarked to Mercy with an amused tone. Little dragons like little humans tended to have a very short attention span it seemed like.
'That's alright, its good for them to get to know one another.' Mercy replied, letting her eyes rove over the assembled group. The riders, for the most part, seemed attentive and that was all she needed as they would be the ones actually using the information she was giving out. "Today we'll just be going over the basics, Oiling, feeding..and I'll answer any questions that you might have about your new life partner or Weyrlife in general if you have them." She addressed the students. These first lessons were always a bit of a bore for the Weyrbred weyrlings who knew all of these things but they were important to catch those from outside the Weyr up to speed. Especially with this clutch where they had gained weyrlings whom had not even been properly searched or given time to adjust to the idea of a Dragonrider life before hand.
"To start off with..since many of you don't know each other, why don't we go around and introduce ourselves. Who wants to start us off? Just you name, your dragons name and if you want a little about yourself"

A little flash of grey danced across Miath's eyes as she crooned towards Rynsemth. ~ Your's feet were hurt? How awful! ~ Miath had already spaced on the fact that this was a lesson. With all of her clutchsiblings around to talk to and get to know she was a distinctly happy little hatchling.
Hurt feet, well that was directed at Rynsemth. Cai glanced towards the black rider with the long hair. From the relaxed way he stood she could only assume he was feeling better. She turned back to Mercy and her brows pulled together. Oiling, feeding... hadn't they already been doing this for a sevenday? Cai sighed. Maybe they were just following the plan that had been disrupted by the unusual events of this clutch. Not that Cai felt that excused them.
Instead of waiting in silence for someone else to work up the nerve to go first Cai introduced herself right off the bat. "Apprentice Healer Cai of Benden. This is Miath." She brushed her fingers across the top of Miath's head as she spoke her name. Miath crooned and lifted up higher to get a proper rub across her brow. No extra information. What she's said was all they needed to know.

Meet and greet? So long as she didn't actually have to really talk with anyone then perhaps it would be alright. Ahmenna looked down at Phiroth who looked up to the challenge. One of the crimson riders stood up and introduced herself. The green rider had to hide a grin at the girl trying to play off being mysterious or whatever she was going for... For now, they were all in the same boat. Weyrling hood.
Standing, 'Menna kept her back straight and her eyes on Mercy. Shards to the other fools. They may think they knew dragons inside and out but that didn't mean there wasn't anything to learn. Ahmenna knew from experience that it meant you should watch for what you didn't know. "The name is Ahmenna, I am from a hold on the coast north of Eron. I am... was in Fishercraft. I bonded to--" The green was turned her head, eyes whirling with slow emotion. She thought them all dullards but they would have to get along for a while.

Wen listened politely as his clutch mates introduced themselves. He stepped forward slightly, noting in some amusement that Rynsemth kept in perfect synchrony. "My name is Wen, and I was part of the Atlini hold messengers and guard." He motioned to his black, stroking the head knobs. "This is Rynsemth."
Rynsemth broadcasted pleasantly before narrowing to simply Miath. he crooned back.

Iafri gave the Weyrling and his brown dragon who approached them a darting glance and reached for Girofleth, who leaned against her leg. "Morning," she echoed softly.
Hello, Girofleth said to the brown. We are well. Mine is anxious, but that is to be expected. And you and Yours?
That they were to introduce themselves was met with a fresh wave of anxiety from Iafri, who wanted to do no such thing, especially once everyone started giving not only their names, but crafts and ranks and former homes. She didn't have any of those, really. Girofleth nosed at her, encouraging. Go on, tell them your name and mine. You don't have to tell them anything more than that.
"Ia-Iafri and Girofleth," she said finally, holding tighter to the little green.

Aukoith trumpeted happily and followed Belith. She looked up at Irafri. Soral sighed and nodded. "My name is Soral, S'ral, and this big girl here," he patted his big green's hide, "is Aukoith."
