Are the stat rp subsections just normal places to RP in? Or do they have a special purpose?

I was just curious as I want to start RPing somewhere and the only other RP seems to have gotten a bit far in for me to join/catch up.

I would assume as many as you can keep up with as long as you don't have them interact much (aka have your characters train each other and teach each other everything they know.) Though I don't know. I'm neither crew nor do I know what I'm talking about. I'm just making assumptions smile

Under the weapon skills, it says that "For each 10 points past the first 15 points added is +1HP bar of damage that weapon does in combat beyond its normal"

If I am using one of the Tier 1 weapons (Hand-to-hand or Dagger, for example), does this mean I have to put in a full 25 points to get extra damage? Since it only requires 5 skill points to use, then could I only put 15 in (5 to "unlock", 10 points per added damage) to get the added effect? Otherwise it makes more sense to just put in 25 points into, say, Scythe and get an even more powerful weapon for the same price.

And for this character I'm planning on opting out of an element and using all 30 skill points to do this.

That's a good question. Daggers have always been my weapon of choose. I also know that in every RPG daggers are a less powerful weapon than say a scythe. But if your wasting so many points to lvl a weapon then it kinda takes the fun out of it and most people will just overlook that item.

I know in d&d and gurps a dagger will only deal 1d4 damage while a scythe deals 1d8 I think. Never used one before.

Disclaimer: I'm new to this too, I'm not an admin/moderator but I'll try to help.

Base Stats

HP: 100 Health Points (broken up into 10 "bars")
Cost To increase: 10 Skill Points (SP) for 1 Bar (+10 total HP)

Mana: 50 Mana Points (broken up into 5 bars)
Cost to increase: 10 SP for 1 bar (+10 total MP)

Speed, Luck, Targeting & Spiritual Power: all start at 0 points

Speed: Unknown cost or method to increase, determines who goes first in a fight
Luck: 2 SP for 1 "Luck Point", a one-time-use point (doesn't automatically recharge) you can use to auto-dodge an attack
Targeting: 5 Sp for 1 "Targeting Point", a one-time-use point that you can use to auto-hit an attack.
Spiritual Power: Unknown cost, allows you to avoid getting into direct conflict for someone preferring a non-combat RP experience

Rank Starts at Grunt. Increased by EXP points per post or from a fight
Leadership starts at 0

Though it isn't clearly stated, basically every character starts with 30 Skill Points (SP). However, since the most basic level of magic costs 15 Skill points to unlock, most magical characters will have 15 SP left to spend, but will get 3 magic abilities of their element (One Attack, One Defense/Totem, One Summon)
