Why did you even take this bet? I'm sure if you wanted to know something you could just ask. Atropos wasn't opposed to Candace playing 'spy', as it was something the Mist huntress greatly enjoyed doing, but her target... Another Hunter had approached her with Jordan's picture. They had no personal grudge or any nonsense against the Sun hunter, they simply wanted to see if Candace could spy on someone who was supposed to be smart and observant. But Jordan was her friend, and her best friend's fiancee. Fiance? Fiancee? They were engaged. If she wanted to know something she could just ask. But then what was the fun in that? It had taken some searching but in the end Jordan...wasn't really all that hard to find. The library was perfect. It wasn't unreasonable for her to be in the library, she'd practically been living there lately, but she didn't intend on being caught. Candace quietly walked the rows until there was only one wall of bookshelves separating her from Jordan, where she slowly moved one book out from the shelf to watch and listen.

Jordan was doing research today, checking up on the underwater labyrinth he'd visited rather briefly with Melvin. There was documentation on the place, but he'd decided to do a little tangential research on the related legends and artifacts similar to the ones discovered in the ruins. He had a stack of books on Greek myth and history beside a notebook on the table.
Currently he was paging through a large binder of what looked like archeological dig photos, occasionally taking notes about a picture or crossreferencing to a different volume. Most of the notes were just locations and a word or two by way of comment. Now and then he checked his phone, but for the most part, he seemed absorbed in his task.
A good twenty minutes might go by without anything particularly interesting happening.

Candace watched, ready with a small notepad for any interesting tidbits she might find.
...Nothing.
Come on, Jordan. You're more interesting than that. Damnit.
The books were replaced on the shelf and Candace gave a soft sigh, turning to head out of the library. She wasn't terribly concerned if she got caught, she already had several excuses she could give. Though it didn't mean Candace wasn't giving it no effort...

Jordan continued to take notes, his peripheral vision catching a flicker of motion but his mind not registering it as something that needed conscious attention. He was onto something, he was pretty sure, but there would be a lot of tracing and correlating involved.
Candace's retreat went totally unnoticed.

Too easy.
Way too easy.
Candace left to return to the Hunter and demand they give her a challenge.

She was going down. Down like the man, with the man, look whatever, it made sense in his head okay. Kat, the devil spawn, the whatever spawn of the devil that had popped her into the Sahara unarmed and made her come back unscathed was going down. Even if Caelius decided to turn a blind eye to this problem, Mark knew exactly what was going on.
Kat was the spawn of the devil. It was pretty obvious as to why she couldn't die, wouldn't die, and worst of all how could everyone else carry out like this was totally okay with their lives. No, he wouldn't have any of this. He was totally going to get evidence of her demonic ways and hopefully manage to hire a small army of exorcists to use their powers of the blessings of holy angelic light to defeat her once and for all and maybe he was running on two Full Throttle drinks mixed with pure coffee and some Diet Coke but it's okay, everything was under control, way, way under control.
The look Mark gave Kat as he peered over the windowsill at her approximate direction was just a little creepy. Just a little. Thankfully he was like, ninja and stuff, all hiding in the bushes, and ninja and you know, stuff. Yeah ninja stuff. His arm twitched a bit from an overdose of ingredients that would probably kill a lesser man.

That last attempt of his had gone terribly. And so Deryk was a little hesitant as he took another target for this game. Harrison. He knew of the guy. The moon hunter alone wasn't really too much of a concern to him. However, he did know that he kinda hung around Rep a lot. That part..might be a little bit of a problem. Fidgeting a bit, he went to try and figure out a place to stake out. He thought of a few different places, then eventually made his way over towards the infirmary. A few moon folk hung around there right? Along with the lifers. Keeping his hood drawn, he just tried to remain cool and blend in with the crowd while trying to see where he could find the guy exactly.

Okay, this one she was both nervous and excited for. The Hunter had taken her..very seriously. She had been handed Aria's picture. Great, lovely, fantastic. She just had to sneak up and spy on the woman who taught her how to be a Mist. That was just ******** be okay. It'd be fine. Candace could do this. Her pride was on the line here, as well as curiosity of if she could find out something more interesting than Jordan liked to read and got really into his work. Surely a division leader would be more fun to track than a Sun. Candace managed to find Aria after some searching, switching to a pair of sneakers instead of her usual heels; less noisy, quicker getaway. The halls were a bit more risky but if Candace stayed behind corners hopefully she wouldn't be noticed. She pressed back against a wall and reached into her pocket for her compact mirror, angling it so it wouldn't catch the light but could help her see around the corner with hopefully less chance of being noticed. The portal room entrance was just down that hall, and she'd seen Aria go in not too long ago..

Harrison was between-duties, leaning over one of the info desks and talking to a pretty, buxom lady at the nurse's station.
He kept his voice low.
"Now, I know full Hunters are eligible for pay bonuses. And we got a certain amount of hours we've got to sign up for. But if I was willing to, say, work 168 hours straight- "

Having spent too much time cooped up in other people's dorms, Kat often found herself sneaking out to get her mind off things. The cafeteria was her first choice, but was currently unavailable to her at this moment. With no real destination, she ended up wandering aimlessly which lead her to one place in particular. Mark's office. Well, she hadn't exactly planned to stop by his office, but.. as long as she was here, why not?
Grinning to herself, she pushed the door open to find the room empty, no Mark in sight. Pursing her lips slightly, a little disappointed that her favorite hunter to annoy was not around, she let herself in. Well, just because he wasn't in, didn't mean that she couldn't mess around with him still.
First, she moved for the chair, sitting in it, spinning around in it for a good two minutes before boredom crossed her features. What to do, what to do..
Her gaze caught something--someone on the other side of the window, as she turned away with a bemused look on her face. Well now.. Reaching out, she grabbed at one of the documents upon his desk, looking it over before moving on to one of the 'classified' folders. She made no attempt to read it quite yet, but instead started searching through his desk for anything of interest, the folder still underarm.
"We meet again, Hulk Junior.." She grinned again, holding the toy up for that certain someone to see.

Deryk spotted his target ahead. He was speaking quietly, and so he paused to try and get a good listen. Tilting his head, he heard something about.. wanting to work 168 hours straight?! That was insane! What was going on in here that had him wanting to work like that?
It was interesting to say in the least.
He was a little in the open, so Deryk decided that was enough. Fidgeting, he turned to start making his way out, only to bump into a labtech on the way.
"S-Sorry!" he apologized, as quietly as he could.

"No, like uh, straight straight..."
Harrison paused, looking up and finding Deryk in the crowd. He'd been a little over-cautious recently, and anybody staring at him too long got his attention.
"Hold on," he growled, shouldering his way through the crowd and towards Deryk in long, intent-driven strides. The bump was all he needed to get a hold of Deryk's arm.
"...You want something?" he challenged.

While it wasn't too long ago that she went in, it was certainly awhile before she came back out. Aria looked rather pleased with herself as she carried two reusable dark green cloth bags. As she passed Candace, the sharp smell of lumber (along with a quick glance inside said bags) would tell her all she needed to know. Aria bought wood. Yep. Also was that a new bracelet around her wrist? It was made out of shiny, dark green beads.

Deryk paled as he felt a hand on his arm. It was Harrison. He had been caught.. again. Apart from the fact that he was now in trouble with the moon hunter, a part of him sank down low as he had failed once more. He really was a pretty big failure of a hunter wasn't he?
"N-no! Just passing through. S-sorry.. Um.. yeah.. just... g-gonna.. go on my way..."
